Nice design, I have seen the Gingery books and his design is about the same scale but designed for motor power. A mini shaper like this is a nice addition to the home shop, and I am enjoying this build immensely . Cheers and looking forward to future instalments!

Thanks for your comment, appreciate it
It's looking good. To make a longer stroke just counter sink the bolts on the back of the ram and get a lot more travel.
Good idea! Thanks Lee
Nice. Maybe a little bit of tuning left to do and it will work great.
Going really well. Looking forward to part 3. Cheers, Craig (PS: Have emailed you)
Thanks Craig! I have replied to your email!
What make is your milling machine ?
Very nice plans ! This would be a great kit !
Hi Mike
The mill is a Warco GH Major
I just downloaded the Mill drive motor drawings. They look good. I would like to know if you are providing the stepper motor design.
Hi Lee, the stepper motor is a bought in item. It uses a NEMA 34. Just check the bolt pattern is the same if you plan to buy one.
What is your web site address. Thanks and I am enjoying this build
Hi thanks for your comment. Its www.mr-mechanical.co.uk
The most "DANGEROUS" things in a machine shop are Long Sleeves & Gloves. For your own safety please get rid of them.!!!!!!!
Thanks for your comment Ron. Good safety observation!
