Hands down ? I love your emotions for this album. It's been in my cd player for many days/nights straight. It's so trippy and hypnotic.. I've had this debate with myself countless times. Name a band with more killer albums. They only had 1 clunker, Villians. At the end of the day, IMO the 1st one is still atop the mountain. Regular John, Mexicola.... Now, here's the real debate: Lullabies or Rated R ? I've gone back and forth so many times. I love them both. I really can't decide. So, those are my top 3. And then I put Like Clockwork in 4th. And I love it so. This song makes me cry every time I hear it. Makes me think of my 1st love of 30 years ago that I still think of everyday and is married now. And, dare I say Songs for the Deaf in 5th place ? Yup, I said it. And I love that one too. Anyway, it's a great debate. And that's how I rank my top 5 QOTSA albums
@@meatazzsandwich dude, I thought the same thing about Villians when it came out. I didn’t even bother buying it till late last year, just for “The way you used to do”. A couple of months ago on a whim, I put it on in my workshop just on a repeat while I built a bass guitar. By the time I finished that bass I gotta say, Villians might just be some of their finest work! Is it different? Absolutely, but it’s a fantastic album.
Come on man. One of the best songs musically and lyrically of the 21st century??? Look, it's a pleasant song, but I think your inner fan boy has just purged himself into the margins of vision.
Josh is such a great fucking singer...so underrated. The most personal and sentimental Queens album to date...a fucking masterpiece, sometimes my favorite of the band, I saw them on this tour, unforgettable...Real music, for real people.
I'm so heartbroken right now.....this song makes complete sense cause I've never been so heartbroken and so in love at the same time in my life. And this song makes uncertainty make sense
Its incredibly healing music. I played the album alot when a close friend of mine died. I would weep while driving in the car. Josh homme just gets it. His music is deep to the core.
Everyone it seems Has somewhere to go And the faster the world spins The shorter the lights will glow And I'm swimming in the night Chasing down the moon The deeper in the water The more I long for you Most of what you see my dear is purely for show Because not everything that goes around, comes back around you know Holding on too long is just a fear of letting go Because not everything that goes around, comes back around you know One thing that is clear it's all down hill from here My love in your hand cleverly disguised All the promises of stone, crumble in the light Most of what you see my dear Is worth letting go Because not everything that goes around, comes back around you know Holding on too long is just A fear of want to show Because not everything that goes around, comes back around you know Not everything that goes around, comes back around you know One thing that is clear It's all down hill from here
I saw them do this live last night. A definate goosebumps moment. They are such amazing musicians and Josh is one hell of a talented guy. I bloody love him.
I feel in love with this song and this album around the same time I fell in love with this person, and we broke up recently and this songs; Kalopsia, I Appear Missing, Like Clockwork, they might not exactly talk about what I feel or what happened, but the feeling they convey to me it´s just, so beautiful and sad simultaneously
Its hard to put to words what art means. You have to see it. Its like a dual reality, virtual in essence. To me, its as simple as the sea. As hard as the harshest hardship. Eternal in my mind. Eternal as the abyss in the sea. Art is deep, its etched through time, as a man. As only I can. I must say, this song is deep as any thing abysmal and artisanal I have ever seen. And to me, its rings of a song, the way it should be. Full of emotion full of the sea, that I see. Something you can only imagine with the right touch. Something called our time. And time is of the essence, before you know it, you evanescence... And that is what clockwork truly means, to the right eye, and even better when it comes from the right arm. ;)
The guitar player is playing a green Burns 12 string...I had one too until my ex-wife smashed it up with a hammer and left it in the front yard...I found it when I got back from a gig at 6 am...bizarre...
Lol nothing like Pink Floyd or Led Zepplin. If you have to compare QOTSA to another form of music, compare it to Polka. Josh Homme grew up playing Polka and you can hear it in his music.
This is hands down their best album. Every song is amazing and for this to be the last song to tie the album up is just flawless.
I agree, in my experience with some friends this album was overlooked. I bought it anyway and one of my fav all time albums front to back.

Agreed
Dude I say this all the time. This is definitely my favorite record they have made. I think that it is flawless
@@meatazzsandwich dude,
I thought the same thing about Villians when it came out.
I didn’t even bother buying it till late last year, just for “The way you used to do”.
A couple of months ago on a whim, I put it on in my workshop just on a repeat while I built a bass guitar.

I will never stop praising QOTSA. They are truly great musicians.
One of the most well written songs both musically and lyrically of the 21st century right here folks.
Take a chill pill bro.
Reid Alldabooks Take a ride and get up to speed bro.
Come on man. One of the best songs musically and lyrically of the 21st century??? Look, it's a pleasant song, but I think your inner fan boy has just purged himself into the margins of vision.
Reid Alldabooks Just let me shove the blinders on and ride through with my tunnel vision. Or maybe (just maybe) not take me so seriously. Bro.
My my, aren't we grumpy?!
It’s not Zeppelin or Pink Floyd it’s queens of the Stone Age and that’s one of the best things about this band. Their music is uniquely them
they have such a unique and vibrant signature.
My top 5. Led zeppelin, black sabbath, queens of the stoneage❤
One of the best qotsa songs ever written.
Agreed! It's tied with I Appear Missing and Better Living Through Chemistry for me
The lyrics man..they hit hard. Life isn't fair by any means, and It does go downhill after early childhood.
Josh is such a great fucking singer...so underrated. The most personal and sentimental Queens album to date...a fucking masterpiece, sometimes my favorite of the band, I saw them on this tour, unforgettable...Real music, for real people.
I just want to point out how empty this song wuold be without Troy's guitar. It's so subtle yet brought so much to the composition.
And Josh hommes opening slide guitar hits you like a truck
If you edited Troy out of every queen's song it would be noticeably worse across the board instantly. So underrated
That bass
I'm so heartbroken right now.....this song makes complete sense cause I've never been so heartbroken and so in love at the same time in my life. And this song makes uncertainty make sense
Hope you are better now
I feel like crying when I listen to this song
And I do every time
Its incredibly healing music. I played the album alot when a close friend of mine died. I would weep while driving in the car. Josh homme just gets it. His music is deep to the core.
Everyone it seems
Has somewhere to go
And the faster the world spins
The shorter the lights will glow
And I'm swimming in the night
Chasing down the moon
The deeper in the water
The more I long for you
Most of what you see my dear is purely for show
Because not everything that goes around, comes back around you know
Holding on too long is just a fear of letting go
Because not everything that goes around, comes back around you know
One thing that is clear it's all down hill from here
My love in your hand cleverly disguised
All the promises of stone, crumble in the light
Most of what you see my dear
Is worth letting go
Because not everything that goes around, comes back around you know
Holding on too long is just
A fear of want to show
Because not everything that goes around, comes back around you know
Not everything that goes around, comes back around you know
One thing that is clear
It's all down hill from here
Beautiful
The love line in your hand…cleverly disguised. All the promises of stone crumble in the night.
I was sent here by a fellow musical artist and songwriter . . . half my age.
Nice work, you lot.
This song is so heartbreakingly beautiful, and Josh’s voice lends perfect vulnerability to it
What a Band!!! Definitely my favorite band
One word. Goosebumps.
same here
Real men making real music.
amazing voice
I saw them do this live last night. A definate goosebumps moment. They are such amazing musicians and Josh is one hell of a talented guy. I bloody love him.
Hard to believe such a high tremelo voice emanates from large man at 6' 4" And over 200 lbs
I know right? He sounds like Thom fuckin Yorke. Best vocal performance of his career and a showstopper closing track.
I think this is what I love about him, such a badass and yet such vulnerability and he’s not afraid to show it either
This is impeccable live. Wow
So dark. So beautiful.
Low key... this is the best love song ever. You play someone this, and they come back for more... It's forever.
Raven in background nice touch
mikey's BASS tho
MrMABU97 Mike bassdass
The bass on this album is some of the best work ever

I'm currently watching Like Clockwork lives, so far this is the hardest drop yet.

So beautiful no? To know, how life flows. To its own end.
Wow... what a band! Great music, played flawlessly...so intense, so strong... Awesome
Outstanding!
Josh is perfection ❤️❤️❤️

I resonate with the album
Wow.
Total pink Floyd vibe on this jewel of a song..sweet sweet melodies.
Underrated band!
underrated by who? Lady Gaga fans? lol
Por la concha de lora, como estos tipos logran hacer temas tan bien compuestos

qotsa songs fpr the deaf RIP
The guitar player is playing a green Burns 12 string...I had one too until my ex-wife smashed it up with a hammer and left it in the front yard...I found it when I got back from a gig at 6 am...bizarre...
Dave Adams, bizarre indeed. Perhaps she was drunk, pissed at you or both? 😅
Josh has no fear
It reminds me a "rocky" version of Pyramid Song by Radiohead for some reason...
Can someone tell me what Josh says for who it is, my english isnt so well? I repeat it...but i dont understand!
I think he says "This is uh - that's for my baby"
Zeppelin of our time... recognize.
I'd argue that he's a darker David Bowie
Lol nothing like Pink Floyd or Led Zepplin. If you have to compare QOTSA to another form of music, compare it to Polka. Josh Homme grew up playing Polka and you can hear it in his music.
Doesn't it have a Pink Floyd vibe?
Futbolballerina, it reminds me a "rocky" version of Pyramid Song by Radiohead for some reason...
No offence but QOTSA are far better than Pink Floyd
sounds like neil young
god.... such a strong Pink Floyd vibe on this track
@ash735 thank you for uploading. caught the entire performance when it first aired...just amazing!!!
