Such a damn journey. By the end you feel like your Soul has went to Hell and back, slowly drifting and returning to shores of the Living aboard the Ferryman's ship on the River Styx.
Homme is one of my favorite songwritter, his hits have a beautiful lyrics. Weird thing, I feel very lucky to meet Queen of the Stone Age. Im Chilean, cheers from here. 🇨🇱
Ivan Matias Isasi Astigarraga His tone was fucking awesome though. That era of Queens was cool because everyone was trading instruments, Alain on guitar for Long Slow Goodbye, Josh just singing for I Never Came, Troy on bass for Mexicola!
Rodrigo Lima nah guys, you cannot compare it to Queen. but, if speaking in epicness of a band's work, then yes, it's pretty like the Bohemian Rhapsody of QOTSA
Musically this is the best lineup, Dave drumming was badass but you knew it wouldn’t be forever.Joey C mark and Nick are true rock and rollers that gave the band some attitude.Id take any combo of the past members, I just love all their albums.
Nick Oliveri is extremely overrated. Mark Lanegan is sorely missed, but he hasn’t been involved with the band for a while anyway. This current lineup with Jon Theodore and Mikey shoes is easily their tightest, most professional lineup yet.
This is the closest thing, emotionally, to Comfortably Numb that I've heard this century... The whole comma theme, and then the incredible climax where every note and melody blends into perfection and lifts you off to another place... An absolute masterpiece
This is the most beautiful performance of I Appear Missing that I've seen. I still get goosebumps when Josh sings out "I've fallen through". God, it's just amazing!
Thank god or some godlike figure that someone recognizes the sheer beauty and talent of not only this song, but this performance of it specifically. I wish i had this version. It is pure perfection.
We all know Josh is godlike of course, but if you don't recognize that Troy is also some kind of superhuman being from another far superior planet to ours, especially in the second half of this version of this song from about the four minute mark, then you seriously need your eyes and ears checked.
That face at 7:25, like he can't believe they played it so beautifully. And for those commenting the crowd, is it that strange to stand there completely jaw-dropped and stupefied after hearing this for the first time?
I have listen to this album and specifically this track over and over and over and when I saw them play this I was as you said, stupified. It really is haw dropping
Scott Moreira First time I listened to this amazing song it was very odd at the end. It was so amazing I had to see if it was the same song, that solo just took me off track ( lol get it ) and now this solo is one of my favorites ever, he put so much sadness some sort of anger and well just pure emotion, but just imagine dying and coming back to tell the tale.
elijah gomez The first time I heard this song was when a buddy and I were driving to one of their shows. When that wall of sound hit we both exclaimed some form of "Good lord this show is gonna fuckin rock" at the same time. Such a powerful finish.
“Hey, man, we would like some footage of the crowd during this song. Do you think you can get some?” Camera operator: “I have 12 minutes of this one lady in a pink tank top.” Editor: “Perfect.”
To whom it may concern: I joined the Navy about six years ago. I went all around and lost touch with music, media, people, the world, really. A couple of months ago I saw Josh in an interview and forgot that I used to listen to Queens when they were “hot” on MTV and VH1. I listened to I Sat by the Ocean and it was enough for me to pick this album up. I can’t tell how much consolation I’ve found in this record, even though it came out years ago. I haven’t felt this much at home in a while.
Can relate. I was out of order for about 4 years and I couldn’t have made it back without this album, and the others too. Songs like Into the hollow, Suture up my future, Un-reborn again... Thank God for Queens of the stone age, they’re my anchor
i just saw them here in Colombia, amazing show, they were really really into it, i just love when a musician is so passionate about their performante even if they are already extremly fucking famous, and are only playing on a small theater for a few thousand people in a foreign country. gotta love this guys!!!!
Got to admit it was quite possibly one of the finest music performances I've seen, watching the solo at the end and just being there was one of biggest 'fuck me moments'
Calling all comas, Prisoner on the loose Description: A spitting image of me Except for a heart-shaped hole where the hope runs out Shock me awake Tear me apart Pinned like a note in a hospital gown Prison of sleep Deepened now A rabbit hole never to be found Again Where are you hiding, my love? Cast off like a stone Feelings, raw and exposed when I'm out of control Pieces were stolen from me But dare I say, given away Watching the water give in As I go down the drain I appear missing now I go missing, No longer exist One day I hope I'm someone you'd met Shock me awake Tear me apart Pinned like a note in a hospital gown Deeper I sleep Further down A rabbit hole never to be found It's only falling in love Because you hit the ground Dancing on wire both ends are on fire Cut me loose Nowhere to run, no more room to pretend Wandering along the road in the summer night I go missing, No longer exist One day I hope I'm someone you'd met Shock me awake Tear me apart Pinned like a note in a hospital gown Deeper I sleep Further down A rabbit hole never to be found Don't cry With my toes on the edge it's such a lovely view Inside I never loved anything until I loved you Inside I'm over the edge, what can I do? Inside I never loved anything until I loved you Don't cry With my toes on the edge it's such a lovely view Inside I never loved anything until I loved you Inside I'm over the edge, what can I do? Inside I've fallen through
I absolutely love watching qotsa’s live gigs to see their songs preformed on another level. But also to see all the love they get in the comments, it puts the biggest smile on my face. At 19 yrs old I rarely find people my age who appreciate their music especially at the level I do. Favourite band, forever untouchable
why didn't I find this EPIC and GLORIOUS performance sooner? Mikey, Joshua, Troy, Dean and Jon are fantastic together ! This song cuts to the bone beautifully.
"...one day, I hope, I've someone you've met..." Most profoundly beautiful, savage, and moreso accurate break up song ever written. EVER. Ever. Any band, any era.
absolutely gutted I've seen these 4 times an never played this live my absolute favourite outro, the art the goes with that whole album is jus genius, like their songs for the deaf flicking through radio channels. fucking outstanding
Yeah he is lol. That's Jon Theodore. One of the greatest drummers of our time. Check him out on the first 3 albums by The Mars Volta, the dude is insane.
i was just thinking last night how good this song would sound with an extended solo, and viola! incredible version, the live fade-out at the end was really neat.
Such a dead pan crowd for such an awesomely and epically performed version of this song! This song was one of their songs stuck in my head when I watched them live back in 2017 - just pure awesome! Their light show really highlighted this song and gave an extra dimension to the song! Just pure awesome!
I love the new album and this is by far my favorite track on that album. Like Clockwork is one of the better albums of this year so far. QOTSA continues to amaze and impress me with their depth of musical talent!
Possibly the best song ever written by Queens.
Gives me goosebumps
Such a damn journey. By the end you feel like your Soul has went to Hell and back, slowly drifting and returning to shores of the Living aboard the Ferryman's ship on the River Styx.
Best song ever written *period*
Homme is one of my favorite songwritter, his hits have a beautiful lyrics. Weird thing, I feel very lucky to meet Queen of the Stone Age.
Im Chilean, cheers from here. 🇨🇱
Chill out
Not enough credit is given to the bassist, that dude is rippin' it.
+The Dude Shuman is such a good bassist. I definitely agree with you on this one. He definitely adds another level of complexity to this performance
I don't know how Queens have been so lucky to have gotten three amazing musicians in Nick, Alain and now MikeyShoes at the bass spot. Shuman shreds.
Alain wasn't that good on bass to be honest..
Ivan Matias Isasi Astigarraga His tone was fucking awesome though. That era of Queens was cool because everyone was trading instruments, Alain on guitar for Long Slow Goodbye, Josh just singing for I Never Came, Troy on bass for Mexicola!
Mikey Shoes is so much better than Oliveri his work on Clockwork and Villains is fucking stellar
This song is QotSA's Bohemian Rhapsody. Such an insane climax, good Lord.
+Rodrigo Lima So True bro!!!!
+Rodrigo Lima No, Bohemian Rhapsody is Queen's "I Appear Missing".
Rodrigo Lima nah guys, you cannot compare it to Queen. but, if speaking in epicness of a band's work, then yes, it's pretty like the Bohemian Rhapsody of QOTSA
Queen is ridiculously overrated
Lap Duy Nguyen Thien So can you compare the 2, or can't you?
unpopular opinion - this is the best qotsa band member line up
You're right.
3rd best imo
just miss lanegan and castillo so much (jon kills any drum line but castillo had that thing)
That extended outro makes me cry.
I am with you.
The normal outro makes me cry, the extended one kills me
I know
It says don't cry though
That bass guitar player is kicking a$$.😊
This is the closest thing, emotionally, to Comfortably Numb that I've heard this century... The whole comma theme, and then the incredible climax where every note and melody blends into perfection and lifts you off to another place... An absolute masterpiece
well said!!
Filipe Rocha let it happen is amazing but for some reason it doesn’t really give me as much chills as this song
c'est tout l'album qui est incroyable,très complexe un des meilleurs de QOSTA.
I concur
somehow totally under appreciated though
this version of the outro is fucking insane. Homme and Troy just absolutely killing it!
I want to like this comment 150 times dammit!
Can't forget about Mikey!!!
Damn
By the middle of the song the band didn’t even know there was a crowd , just a bunch of musicians loving their work .
I come back to this video often….Josh was in a fucking trance lol
someone needs to make a loop from 4:06 to end. that shit can cure cancer ;)
I wish I could agree man but my tumours are still eating me alive. :(
+Mike Oxlong ;(
Lol I'm kidding it cured me
+Mike Oxlong haha told you!!
this must be the best conversation of all the internet. thanks guys.
man, mikey's bass tone during that outro literally gives me chills. its perfect. flawless.
AaronJ180 I'd die happy if they had this available on itunes.
+AaronJ180 use UA-cam mp3 converter
+Original Username use mpr converter
Alright, thanks!
The guitar solo that started at 4:06 is the most badass ending to a song I've ever heard
You don't need to mosh to appreciate a song live guys. They were probably hypnotised, like I would have been if I saw that live
Munnkiboy Damn right. This song is so beautiful I'd be pissed off if people around me started pushing each other. We've got Millionaire for that.
😊yeah Ithink you rock out but then the music hits and it’s like wow…feels great!
We all know Josh is godlike of course, but if you don't recognize that Troy is also some kind of superhuman being from another far superior planet to ours, especially in the second half of this version of this song from about the four minute mark, then you seriously need your eyes and ears checked.
troy is, by far, the best musician on their lineup. and that means A LOT
That face at 7:25, like he can't believe they played it so beautifully.
And for those commenting the crowd, is it that strange to stand there completely jaw-dropped and stupefied after hearing this for the first time?

Its only been about two years. But this is a classic rock song.
Epic Song! One of the greatest contributions to Rock Music from this greatest artists!
One of the best ever in music history, right? ... I hope in a few years it will be
Hi from 2023!
I'm a guitarist, and all I'm listening trough this outro is the ripping bass line...
Marino Vrca Mikey Shoes is a legend
One of the dopest bass lines ever, Mikey shoes is the fuckin man.
If they re-release ...Like Clockwork in a deluxe version like with Rated R I hope this audio track is included
the lyrics are so deep once i understood what he's saying
This is Queens of The Stone Age’s most beautiful song, no question, no contest. This song will never not rock🤟
My only wish is that this 2 guitar solo never ends....
“Hey, man, we would like some footage of the crowd during this song. Do you think you can get some?”
Camera operator: “I have 12 minutes of this one lady in a pink tank top.”
Editor: “Perfect.”
The outro never fails to put me into a trance. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
If this ever leaves youtube I will be completely devestated.
I downloaded it and have it archived on 3 separate hard drives if that ever happens haha
The outro is the best piece on the whole LP. How could ever have anyone come up with an idea of cutting it off. Someone must have been deaf.
was there, don't think the crowd suck though, people were just hypnotized!
Saw qotsa in Jacksonville at the Florida theater and when they played this song I was blown away and in tears. One of the best nights in my life
QOTSA just fucking kill it every time they're live. What a band to see live it's something that lives with you forever
The song of the year!
Century
The song of my life.
Song of the decade, at least.
Mikey Shoes
Mr Van Leeuwen, thank you x
best outro ever
YEAH!

Hermano, aqui en Colombia eso fue increible!!!
PepeCaseres thanx
Favorite song by them
Got to admit it was quite possibly one of the finest music performances I've seen, watching the solo at the end and just being there was one of biggest 'fuck me moments'
Calling all comas,
Prisoner on the loose
Description:
A spitting image of me
Except for a heart-shaped hole where the hope runs out
Shock me awake
Tear me apart
Pinned like a note in a hospital gown
Prison of sleep
Deepened now
A rabbit hole never to be found
Again
Where are you hiding, my love?
Cast off like a stone
Feelings, raw and exposed when I'm out of control
Pieces were stolen from me
But dare I say, given away
Watching the water give in
As I go down the drain
I appear missing now
I go missing,
No longer exist
One day I hope
I'm someone you'd met
Shock me awake
Tear me apart
Pinned like a note in a hospital gown
Deeper I sleep
Further down
A rabbit hole never to be found
It's only falling in love
Because you hit the ground
Dancing on wire both ends are on fire
Cut me loose
Nowhere to run, no more room to pretend
Wandering along the road in the summer night
I go missing,
No longer exist
One day I hope
I'm someone you'd met
Shock me awake
Tear me apart
Pinned like a note in a hospital gown
Deeper I sleep
Further down
A rabbit hole never to be found
Don't cry
With my toes on the edge it's such a lovely view
Inside
I never loved anything until I loved you
Inside
I'm over the edge, what can I do?
Inside
I never loved anything until I loved you
Don't cry
With my toes on the edge it's such a lovely view
Inside
I never loved anything until I loved you
Inside
I'm over the edge, what can I do?
Inside
I've fallen through
Best live version of this song by far!
The 'Rock en Seine' one from last year is killer as well, maybe even a tad bit better than this one.
+Max Van Westerop je hebt gelijk max! thanks
The new drummer's a beast!
I absolutely love watching qotsa’s live gigs to see their songs preformed on another level. But also to see all the love they get in the comments, it puts the biggest smile on my face. magical shit on the stage
Greetings to sound engineers, it sounds good
I can't believe how good this sounds in the head phones. Incredible performance.
Extended goosebumps.
The best outro to any song ever! They still are the tightest band!
I can't believe how amazing the band is, they are brilliant
My favorite song in the world.
Crowd was in completely silent enjoying this excellent performance. If I was there I should be doing the same!
Nunca vi uma linha de baixo tão foda, nunca me canso de ouvir!
the outro is absurdly good
When the crowd seriously don’t know how fucking lucky they are!,,,,,,
Wow they are so great live x
"...one day, I hope, I've someone you've met..."
Most profoundly beautiful, savage, and moreso accurate break up song ever written. EVER. Ever. Any band, any era.
it's one day i hope i'm someone you'll miss
Epic ❤
Este debe ser el mejor solo compartido de guitarra que he visto en años. El bajo no se queda nada atrás.
Malditos genios.
I would love this performance more if Troy had a little more volume man !!
absolutely gutted I've seen these 4 times an never played this live my absolute favourite outro, the art the goes with that whole album is jus genius, like their songs for the deaf flicking through radio channels. fucking outstanding
This is heartbreakingly stunning! Absolutely beautiful to see such amazing musicians truly in the moment and lost in their jam together 🖤 just WOW
This is Queens Sultans of Swing at Alchemy
i fucking love this song. and the kalopsia yes. wonderful album.
One of the great songs of all time.
Espetacular...
the vibes in this one give me goosebumps
Black Ben Affleck kills it
Shane Kramer the drummer isn't black lmao
Yeah he is lol. That's Jon Theodore. One of the greatest drummers of our time. Check him out on the first 3 albums by The Mars Volta, the dude is insane.

Actually his dad was haitian so.....is black.

Espectacular🔥🔥🔥👏👏
Sin dudas
Sweet bass lines 💕
Amazing. I hope to see them live this autumn.
This performance is religious
i was just thinking last night how good this song would sound with an extended solo, and viola! incredible version, the live fade-out at the end was really neat.

that line "its only falling in love because you hit the ground" hits like a bus
Magic !!!
Thats how its done. Grade A performance.
What an amazing performance. Wow
With my toes on the edge… it’s such a lovely view
Perfect
Legendary song from a legendary album, being played by a legendary band
this is some next level type of bass
love love love that song... Took a while to play it correctly ^^
Speechles
Now that youtube shows what parts are most skipped to, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one going directly for that outro every time
Amazing ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was there, stoked!
the bass is sick as fuck
this is the best performance I've ever seen.
I love the new album and this is by far my favorite track on that album. Like Clockwork is one of the better albums of this year so far. QOTSA continues to amaze and impress me with their depth of musical talent!
Está en la mejor canción en vivo de qotsa, no cambiaré de parecer.
this is such a great song
Awesome performance! QOTSA breaking all the rules at Pinkpop as usual!!!
Imagine having an LSD tab whilst seeing that live 😳
probably start crying tbh
To be honest, it’d be a waste of a trip.
It screams art
imo their best song ever
How do you describe music like this? It’s like what hearts and souls must sound like if they could talk
Last part of song just makes me cry
Fu cking love it❤❤❤
Was indeed amazing, looking foreward to the show at Sportpaleis in november :)
I feel like this song would be better to listen at night
oh yes it is, 4:37 up to the end is amazing
my new favourite from the album!
Man that was a awesome version, was glad i was there! Awesome concert! Had to change my pants during the concert 'cause i came twice!
