I feel like this is over priced but if you got the cash this one will get a lot of use depending on what campaigns you gravitate towards. Lich and mind flayer are very iconic for big bads.
I think these minis are pretty awesome and I’ll wait and hope the price goes down. I’m sure most of the collectors on here already own most if not all of these monster minis from other set’s as I do, so no need to pay full price. I really like the Mummy and I think it’s interesting to get a different style minis like that and it’s a nice display piece.
Yeah, I frequently use price alerts for places like Amazon to catch great sets when they go on sale! And of course, picking up singles that you need is also an option.
I love that we will have similar 1E Kobolds in the 50th anniversary set, so we can pretty much do a whole little army of them. I will just consider them a different regional variety of Kobolds. Mimics I think were omitted since they are going to be in the 50th anniversary set, the whole weird "forms giant fist" version, 1E art did not yet gave them big mouths. I agree with you the Nagas were unsettling in 1E, they pretty faithfully followed the indian illustrations (many indian temples show such human headed serpents). Same reason why I do not like the (undersized) PFB Naga either. I prefer those that like the old WotC D&D Nagas, or the PFB Aquatic and Dark Naga, make their faces scaly and reptilian.
@@guyfrattallone6029 And they keep getting more expensive. The dragons look so big compared to human beings that the only way to slay them is with magic or nuclear weapons.
Probably the best looking set for the classic minis so far other then the naga they all look similar enough to modern depictions for new players while still looking great with the old designs the mind flayer’s extra bulbous head suits it wonderfully but that price tag is gonna kiII the sales hardly anyone is gonna want to pay that much
The Mummy is my fave in this set! Not going to buy any of these set though, already have many better versions! The Mind Flayer (i remember the "scary" pic 😆) and the Naga are very "meh"...
1:44 omg that little bee is so freaking adorable I just want a plushie of it to hug
lol I was rolling my eyes at the Mindflayer trigger warning, and then the image made for a great payoff

Digging the kobold. Not so much on the terrain piece mummy. The Naga "works" but is true to the old images.

The classic designs are the best.
Don't forget the scale. The Dragons just keep getting bigger as editions continue to pass. They are as big as soccer balls right now.

Thanks for the video and preview. What is the big metal monstrosity in the back?
That is the Critical Role Forge Guardian! m.ua-cam.com/video/tZljDG0pA08/v-deo.html
@@TheGallantGoblin Thank you!

What's the name of the Big "warforged" mini?
They is The Forge guardian from Critical Role!
I like this set but it’s a little bit pricey
We don't need another Kirin, sorry lol. Alot of the 'missed' minis appear to be in the 50th Anni mini set.
The Minotaur is my favorite.
I do like hamburgers and steak.
I'm sure the Minotaur won't mind.
90 bucks for 8 minis? come on
I just wait and hope they eventually go on sale like the Lloth mini eventually did.
Cool figures , but price is a lil steep . More like 55.
The price is too steep.
Nice review, but it's overpriced . $50-$60, even that is pushing it. For that price, you would be better off saving up for a brick of boosters boxes.
Keep an eye out for sales. Especially around the holidays you'll often see sets like this getting discounts.
