Awesome video ! Scrapyard's are always fun to watch especially when railroads are involved. Nice drone view of the big junk pile and conveyor belt being loaded up. My brother works at a scrapyard but it doesn't have rail service unfortunately. Well done Matt.👍🏻
I was wondering when they serviced the scrap yard. Used to unload scrap there almost everyday but never got lucky enough to see them pull cars in and out. Using the old Galvanizing mill building was clever.
Only thing I hate about this railroad is all of their operations, including this one, are random and have no set schedule. While I was fortunate enough to catch this twice, I can't even tell you the last time I saw them do anything other than yard work and transfer runs during the day.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. A really interesting (& important), operation. What a wealth of railroad and heavy industry you have in the Buffalo area. You're fortunate!
No worse then a steel mill, especially in casting. Have clients of various sizes in the industry. It's grimy. If you don't walk out of a plant visit and not have some black smug then you didn't go in. Great video(s:)
Love train videos in grungy scrapyards. Keep'em coming!

Thanks a lot! Yeah we have a little bit of everything here in Western New York, so it's almost impossible to get bored lol
Nice drone footage Matty
Thanks!
Love the drone footage there brother!
Thanks a lot!
Great catch!
Thanks!
That was a great vantage point. Big time operation! Looks like a lot of expensive electrical grid upgrades.
Enjoyed the camera and editing work. Interesting to see something not normally available to everyone. Nice job
Thank you!
Great work Matty! Could they park the trailers just a little bit closer to the tracks!🙄🙄
Thanks!
Any idea where that scrap metal goes?
Nope.
To the highest bidder.
What an awful looking place to have to work in everyday.
Beats working in a landfill, but not by much. I hear ya though, I wouldn't want to work here.
