Excellent video Matt. Awesome steel mill. These are massive facilities and very interesting too. The entire structure is impressive along with all the railway tracks. Those switchers and molten slag torpedo cars also make a great scene. Both ground level and aerial views also solid. I could spend a entire day here. 0:45 The gray buildings are dwarfed by the big rolling mill structure.
I really outta come out to Cleveland more often and flim these hidden gems considering there are just so many cool things to see, plus I'm real close to but do you know what days these trains run or are they just ran as needed?
Old switchers have a unique, rugged, industrial but beautiful aesthetic to them.
Those molten iron cars just look heavy!
Awesome ! Steel railroading is the best !
That Is CRAZY Cool!!!! 😳

Hanging out in the flats in the mid '80s was fun. I had a job servicing the soaking pits at LTV steel for a year or two.

It’s great to see Americans still doing work like this! Now if they only had some Alco’s on the property…
