Song: “Trick of the Memory” By Victor Lundberg
Our VRF Grab Bags (GB) videos are compiled from content from our cameras as Mods and fans spot something neat while watching our cameras. In the GB you will, of course, find a variety of TRAIN content, special trains, maintenance, steam, diesels, interesting rail cars, cool paint schemes and more. You will also find fun people, city events, boats, planes, cars (sometimes going wild) and nature. Thank you for taking the time to sit back and enjoy these highlight reels that we call "Grab Bags"! - Розваги
While the trains are fun, it's kind of relaxing watching the barges and boats go up and down the Mississippi.
Enjoy the critters too
Such great catches!! Shame on the bicyclist…heart stopping for the crew.
😔
Enjoy watching grab bag. Awesome work!
Always pleasing to see a "Canadian Pacific" and/or "Canadian National" locomotive!
Technically now it's CPKC but ur right
Another fantastic video Virtual Railfan!!!!!
The grab bag started with a caboose? They're supposed to be at the end.😆
Always such great music at the end. Thank you.
The “ barcode “unit was a nice catch!!!
Lots of nice action in Chehalis, and the ballast-dumper was neat; it looked as if it was doing the same thing on the opposite side? The Deshler sunrise was gorgeous and I always love the music you pick, but this time the way that guitar came in just as the train arrived was a brilliant piece of editing. Bravi, guys!
It's the same effect you used in "Stormy Train, All Aboard" and it was just as effective here!
Excellent catches VR!! I was just shaking my head when that cyclist just darted in front of that train. I've been railfanning for over 30+ years & have seen a bunch of close calls like that. People like that person just dont understand what they put the train crews through. Also, like the catch of that old car you got
4:07 Niche hobbyist here, getting over-obsessed with spotting Iowa grain cars. 🤣 Although the Cotton Belt car is a very worthy runner-up (8:09).
All the videos were Fantastic I like see the Old Santa Fe Warbonnet
9:03 Long day walking on that loose ballast beside the ballast cars. Hats off to him.
I love grab bags!!!!!
nice grabbag
*Awesome Catches*
Nice heritage power in Roanoke, ballest hopper 👍,Darwin cyclist👎,nice catch on wave from Amtrak, lots of great Nathan air horns, good video!🛤🚂
I'll get to ride on those Coaster cars soon.
11:33 That's just sad seeing those Montana Rail Link pusher loci sets broken up like this. The were very impressive bunched up in groups of 4 or 5 mid-train helping push those heavy trains over Mullan Pass.
Sorry I've been away for so long; greetings from the UK again! THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE BEST YET; I COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT SEQUENCE FROM SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSSETTS, WAS ACTUALLY HAPPENING! Just what Britain's railways were like back in the 1970s; locomotive-hauled passenger trains! Liked seeing the ship and old car at Fort Madison; liked seeing Fort Madison full stop! Liked it all! 😀😃😄😁😆😉😊
I remember seeing a Blue Caboos as a very young kid.. It freaked me out. For I knew all the suttle shades of Red from normal Cabooses.
Hi Virtual Railfan & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks & Virtual Railfan & Friends Randy
I really liked the caboose on the opening. Looked brand new!
I really dig the instrumental outros, cheers from JAX,FL...
Good idea to label those coaster cars. Otherwise people would put their glasses and cups on the wood furniture in the stations! 8^)
🤣🤦♂
2:13 ayyyy Metrolink!
@4:56 locomotive 7476. Same years I was in the Marine Corps. Doesn’t mean much to most but very memorable years for me. Thanks for the great vids. For all you jarheads out there, SEMPER FI!!!!!!
Do you know what the horn is named?
Thank you for your Service.
As the son and grandson of Marines, you have my thanks for your service. Semper Fi.
Very cool ending. Love Lundbergs music.
0:08 giant heavy-duty flatcar and caboose
1:01 RJ corman boxcars
1:40 look closely, one of the rear traction motors on the lead unit is burning up
2:07 Metrolink F59PH
2:36 empty centerbeams and NS 1111 as DPU
2:55 NS 8101 trailing on a BNSF train, might be a shared NS run-through (again at 5:00 and 14:46)
4:16 this triple header is like a set of nesting dolls, each one smaller than the one before it
5:31 NS, BNSF, and UP power on one train
6:00 warbonnet on an NS train
6:26 barges with cranes and long cables. I'm not sure what kind of vessel Endure is
7:43 new cars for San Diego Coaster placed behind the rear DPU with spacer flatcars. These are part of an order of eight coaches and three cab cars to replace their original 1994 ones
8:10 Cotton Belt hopper
8:30 Chessie boxcar
8:39 just rode through the gates like no train was there! Waycross has a number of empty buildings so the people there might not be the best
9:06 spreading ballast behind a hi-rail truck
10:02 H2 dash 9s 5007 and 5011 doubleheading
10:19 warbonnet dash 9, H1 dash 9, and H3 GEVO

13:21 P42 with a Talgo 8 set

16:22 N&W black boxcar
16:38 four Amtraks at once in Springfield! One is a power move of P42 98, MP15DC 535, GP38-2 728, and P42 130 in Phase II heritage livery
20:22 BN green SD40-2
Great song
CofG unit at 14:46 wears the livery well.
That was a nice looking old Chevy a classic
00:20 Wow! 20 axels!
Some people just don’t have any respect for anyone
8:02 hi Coaster CEM 😍
7:47 I actually saw those Coaster cars in Fort Collins.
I ❤CNW ❤
15:00 This is the OLD Car
Late '40s Plymouth?
Gorgeous car 😘
21:35 There’s a light in that building at the diamond then it goes out. It may be authentic; I thought it was abandoned……
2:56 & 5:05 Same train.
Hi VRF
The guy at 8:50 could have stopped and waited for the train to pass, but too bad impatience seemed to be his motive for refusing to stop and wait, as a railfan my self I have seen plenty plenty of motorists do the same thing
That's how angels are made at 08:50.
Why are there flatcars between the Coaster Bilevels?
that cyclist left me with so many "what if" questions? Any chance they could be identified and charged with reckless biking or nearly causing a fatal accident? It is scenes like this that remind me why I could never be a locomotive engineer, even though that was my grandfather's career!
Unfortunately they may eventually be identified as the result of an accident investigation.
It’s a 30 year career of boredom punctuated by one second of abject terror every so often.
I thought he was going to fall
Can't believe that cyclist. Unfortunately the only way they learn is by being hit by the train,an then it's to late. The car in ft mad was that a Desoto ???
Love that old car 😘
Hey that was a good Grab Bag Video but I would like to see less of the Roanoke Virginia area they show to much of that area All areas should be showed evenly if possible would you agree with me
'First in the UK of A, Yeah I was, First in the UK of A'. Sorry Folks, I've had a bottle of Lager - I won't do it again.
WOW! The Intermodal Partnership of B(NS)F looks like its doing good! Couple of BNSF (Heritage?) units in the mix. And, like others, stopping for the names on the "Lineage" reefers ☹❗
14:09 SHINYYYYYY
Could I get the entire train with the coaster cars
8:54 I think this was the worst Darwin moment I’ve seen on VR. It made me wonder how many real FAAFO moments editors have had to cut out and how they, the engineers, and the families must have felt. SMH
So I couldn’t see what the conductor engineer did?
I have zero respect for anyone who runs the gates if the gates are down and lights flashing its for a reason I've unfortunately see seen the consequences of playing chicken with a train not somthing you will ever forget feal bad for the crew knowing if they fell off the bike there wouldn't have been anything they could do.
I’m subscribed virtual railfan
What was the black stuff on the amtrak 142? 14:13(timeframe)
So close to standing before God.
Where is the (what's the timestamp) of the "traction motor fire"?
At 15:00 , what brand of antique car is that? 😎
I believe traction motor fire is red glow in truck at 1:53 in the slo mo.
@@kennethhanks6712 Thanks! Kind of hard to see.
I cant find the Darwin...what time stamp?
That would be 8:55.
@@kennethhanks6712 Thanks
That bicycle shouldnt have got in front of that csx train that person would have got hit real fast then the train engineer would have felt bad because trains can't stop when they want to they have to get their loads to where ever they have to get them too 😊
Does anybody know the model of car at 15:19?
Could someone tell me what "total disrespect for the crew" refers to?
TOTAL DISRESPECT FOR THE CREW Jerry would like to know too!
"Total disrespect for the crew" refers to the psychological stress of the engine crew wondering if they are about to be the unwilling participants in the demise of an obviously uncaring individual who has no concern for his, or others, well being.
If you have never been on a train crew in such situation imagine if you are automobile driving down the road and someone (especially of younger age) carelessly places themselves right in front of you and you have little chance of avoiding an accident and it is left up to luck/chance--not really pleasant to contemplate at all.
Another thing to consider is what affects it could have to their careers. Not in the railroad business myself but I've read that if you're ever involved in an accident the company puts you under the microscope. Was the crew sleeping? On their phone or otherwise not paying attention? Under the influence?
While the video would prove it was not their fault, all these extra headaches would be hard to deal with mentally.
No one actually said, but I assume you're referring to the bicyclist.
I think the clarifications 🤔 and definitions on this topic from "Mr. Websters" book 📖 are straight forward and to the point of "UNDERSTANDING".
For those of lesser visual intelligence, 🤔get out the finger paints and crayons 🖍 😮 .
Awesome a new VR Grab Bag episode with a lot of exciting
trains, train fans and even some Darwin Candidate's thanks.

Was that a K5LLA at 10:25 on the fake bonnet?
