I just got this today as prescribed by my doctor for my acne issue. It says that, take it with food and large galss of water. But I'm confused.. does it mean swallow it with food and then drink a large glass of water or should I just have it soon after food and then a glass of water? I'd never take antibiotics for acne. If you are over 20 you should get on Vit A= Retnoids/Retinol cream. Your gut needs to be sorted as well. Take Pro Biotics and eat high quality natural yogurt. You need to use light therapy as well. Salicylic acid as a cleanser 3 times a week at night.

Hello sir! I have a question sir... Doxycycline is an antibiotic and by using it for a long duration it may develop resistance to the individual. Say for example a patient used doxycycline for a month and discontinued... Now again the infection appeared and started to use doxycycline again for 1 week... Would it not develop resistance?

I've had hydrogen dominant sibo for 5 months now. The doctor wants me to take Xifaxin, but I'm too scared to try. I learned the hard way that I'm allergic to Penecillins, certain forms of Nitrofurantoin, Flagyl, and Prednisone. I've been on Doxycycline once before when I had an abscessed tooth, and man it came in handy, and saved my life! I ended up getting that tooth extracted the next day.

Ivermectin, regardless of what they say, still works like it did when it was first used. There is no money in "curing" it. With most treatments it continues to live in you for a year or so that is why one can get it multiple times. Just sayin
Got prescribed this for non-gonococcal urethritis. I'm taking 100 MG tab of Doxycycline 1 twice a day for 7 days. Have had insomnia ever since I started taking it. It's not listed as a side effect but I found a few other people who have had similar symptoms. Hopefully it goes away after the 7 days because I have never suffered from insomnia before.
@@missgirl1436 I’m able to get more sleep now compared to when I was taking it for those seven days. It went away gradually. Like two weeks after I took the last dose I think. If you suffer from anxiety like I do it makes it worse. Hopefully you end up getting better.
@@OutofManna I've slowly come to the realisation that my sleep became less with each day on Doxycycline. I've taken the last pill 10 hours ago and I'm glad to read that it went gradually back to normal for you. Quality of sleep the same now?

How long did you take it and when did symptoms of infection start to fade away? Edit: 10 days of Doxycycline did not work for me rather I have got amoebic dysentry. Infection started again after 2 weeks. Still going on. Edit: 2 months now and infection has increased much more on the scalp. Using a shampoo with "Salicylic Acid" gives temporary relief but no permanent solution yet. Taking Vitamin C and Vitamin D to boost immune system. May be that works! Inconsistent with daily exercise. Desperately, need to do it for immune system. 😔

@@SoldMyV8 the doxycycline got rid of the infection in my face in 3 months taking down all swelling leading to my face still being really red with scaring but minimal pimples. then i went to a dermatologist and got prescribed with minocycline 100mg a day which cleared most of the red on my face leading me to be much more confident. i have now dropped to 50mg a day. my main solution to getting no pimples in my opinion is using epiduo cream every night. now my face still has some redness noticeably but insanely better.

,I just found out my mother has pneumonia,she was In Chicago visiting my sister and her family with my father,my mother and father or flying home today,she went patient first and they prescribed her a medication cslled Doxycycline shes 74,not sure ow she got it though it sounds scary as I don't know much about pneumonia. Is Doxycycline affective for treating pneumonia in Adults as well how long until she feels better.thatnks as well say a prayer.she also has a slight heart issue murmur she takes meds for that issue
I need help someone pls, I just got these pills to treat chalmydia, I took my first pill this morning right when I woke up and felt fine an hour after taking it till I decided to eat a banana. Is this bad? Will my treatment not work since I threw it up within a hour? Pls I need help I’m scared I’m gonna take another one tonight before I go to sleep but I just hope that 1 dose being thrown up doesn’t throw off my whole treatment.

Doc i have pains that come in waves around my sternum after 4th day of taking totally proper way. I've been informed to discontinue taking it. Which I have the frequency of pain seems to be declining but should I be going to the ER if it persists by end of weekend?

Nausea can be a common side effect. It might help if you take the tablet with some food. However, it is always wise to contact your prescribing doctor and ask for personal advice.
It’s been a month now I’ve been using doxycycline n I’ve been following all the protocols but each and everyday my skin appears redness,large n painful pimples 😫 which I never had in my life I’ve heard that the will be purging process but at the end of the month the must be a different but still my skin is getting worse I don’t know if I must stop taking them or what !
@@calsilecalsile6923 please drink warm water squeeze 1/4th lemon and 1/4th tea spoon of black salt into it take it daily when you wake up in the morning its really working for my skin 🙂
