I take 50 mg of doxycycline and I dont have any side effects, I've been taking it for about 6 months and my skin went from pizza to people saying they want my skin.
Wow nice,am happy for you😊😊. Would you mind telling me for how long you took it and was it accompanied with another medication? Also does it clear acne marks & scars

@@kevindangertv466 oh it takes like a 3 months.... also I know really simple cleaning products that are cheap but better than anything I've used before, it is cere-ve face wash and cere-ve face moisturizer that is all you need. My face doesn't get dry and the face wash doesn't irritate my skin barrier. Also the products were recommended by my dermatologist and they said everyone should use the product.
@@Irakibob okay I took 50 mg of doxycycline and I also took antidepressants? It took 3 months for my skin to get noticeably clear, and 4 months for it to be soft and shiny.
@@Irakibob yes it does clear scars and acne Mark's, I had a spot that I picked so much I had scars but in 4 months they went away
I was pretty nervous to start taking my prescribed 2-month cycle but after watching this I am going to go for it, thank you for sharing this and the good energy you're putting out there!

guys! if you all are using doxy and having stomach irritations and problems in your stomach lining, probably its because you took it on an empty stomach. i've been taking doxy and as long as i take it after food i have no problem! good luck w doxy!
Sarah Caudal thanks this morning was the second time I took it and I had a small breakfast after. when lunch came around my stomach was killing me, I ate food but it still hurt. not until I came home I practically ate the whole kitchen the pain went away.
I just took it for the first time today after a meal and a full glass of water. 30 min later and my stomach starts hurting really bad.
It’s best recommend on an empty stomach for better results and if you’re going to eat it should be a small snack not a full meal lol but I understand everyone’s body works differently (:

@@y.c2935 no, it's recommended, on the prescription bottle, to take it with food. it does not change the results.
For all you people saying it ruins stomach lining, you NEED to make sure that you’re taking it with food and a full cup of water. If you don’t follow the directions you will get sick. I take the pill then eat a moderate meal and then drink a full cup of water in the morning and at night. I’ve only been taking it for 1 day so hopefully I have good results 😥

@@corionanelson4661 UPDATE: about a month and a half in now, and my skin is JUST NOW starting to clear up (really quickly too) and the dryness has completely gone away! Just make sure to use a good moisturizer in the morning:) there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, I swear lol

did it ever burn when you washed your face or applied lotion? cuz my skin is like burning and itching. it’s only my 4th time taking it and i’m like in pain.
I've been taking it for 11 days now, and in the Netherlands they only give it to you for 50 days. I can see a big difference, my acne isn't as red anymore. I really hope it stays away.

I've been on Doxylin for a week now and have noticed that I'm always extremely hungry, I always eat healthy and eat enough, and I've never experienced this much hunger before. But ever since I started taking Doxylin I feel like eating the whole kitchen, I don't care whether it's healthy or unhealthy, I just have to satisfy my hunger. Help?
Yeah I noticed that too. Like I would have literally eaten 2 hours earlier and then after I take the doxycyclin I just want to eat everything.

OMG I just started taking doxylin and I'm so hungry too I thought I was the only one

I'm not taking it for acne but this medication makes me nauseas and throw up wether I eat or not and laying down after taking it OMG the worst .
I take it every morning and night and in the morning I will throw up if I don't eat IMMEDIATELY after taking it. With me I've noticed it's because when I take it in the morning, my body is not fully awake. Now I take it as soon as I get home from school and right before I go to bed.

I've taken two doxycyclines and today was my second dose. I had a small breakfast so when lunch came around I was really hungry and after that my stomach still hurt. I also noticed I was passing gas more than usual.

@@divyamuni2256 Absolutely, I wish I had done it earlier. I only get occasional acne now (1 or 2) but they're small white heads. Previously I was experiencing super inflamed acne and my whole face was affected on a daily basis.

been on doxy for 3 weeks now and i’m on the initial phase where the breakout is totally horrible. the blotches of pus are totally visible on my chin and my acnes get very itchy from time to time. was totally ok with it at first bcs i know it’s part of the healing process but it hurts me a lot when ppl won’t stop asking why is my skin getting worse, when am going to get rid of them, etc. my self esteem is at its lowest point and i don’t even feel like leaving my house anymore... i hate looking at myself in the mirror... really hope my skin will clear out soon :(

I've been using doxycycline for about 3 weeks and I've reacted to it, and it's caused irritation in the stomach lining and I can't eat or drink properly because of the pain. I'm now on 4 weeks of pills to reduce the irritation and then getting switched to different acne medication. I would advise people to stand or sit up straight for 30 mins after taking the medication or you'll find the same thing happening to you which isn't very nice. :)

@@realBishalDangal hey, i started mine doxy 100 mg on November 2nd - im on the second day of week 3 and i have a two month supply/ so far i can say the doxy has made all of the inflammation i had in my skin go down - I havent had a new breakout - im left with close comedones and texture - i am also using epiduo and on week 6 with it - hoping the following week ls will get me clear - granted i have mild to moderate acne- test doxy out and see how it helps

Make sure that whenever you take it that you have a full stomach, whenever I take it without eating much I always feel majorly nauseous!

I have been using doxycycline for a little over a year now. My skin has gotten so much clearer. Make sure to use sunscreen and a good moisturizer while on this product because I tend to become really dry when using this product. Use sunscreen because doxycycline causes sun sensitivity. I took the monohydrate version, and you really need to eat with it, do not try it with 0 food, you will puke. I am now trying drinking water and changing my diet.

I am using this medicine from long time it really amazing medicine but you have to consider few things you have to take this medicine with full stomach also don't take this medicine if you had more milk products in meal or any citric fruit or juice and also stop taking coffee or tea .

I started puking and having flu symptoms , nausea , and headaches within the first 4 days . Today I’m drinking lots of water . I feel better but still having number two a lot.

i used doxycycline for 2 months and got severe headache and brain pressure and a little vision confusion. Stopped it since 10 days and the headache still persist until now.

I would recommend Epiduo, it's a potent face cream that purges acne bacteria from your face. It initially induces some redness, dryness and minor breakouts but long term (1-2 weeks) it begins to actually clear your skin up very well. I have cystic acne so my doctor prescribed me Epiduo and Doxycycline wish me luck!
Does doxy cure acne permanently.. anyone plss suggest I hve had acne for about 10 years. It always comes back in humid season. My dermat suggested this to me a day before, n Im skeptical to use it because right now my skin is doing okie as my acne is going slowly. Im taking 40 mg one hour after dinner and wait another hour till sleep and i dont have any problems with stomach . I wouldnt take it as recommended on an empty stomach. I think its just making things worse .

After ceasing the antibiotics have you broken out again? I found that my skin stayed clear for about 6 months or so and then slowing returned to how it was prior to taking the medication :(

I was on it for three months and a month ago right before my prescription ran out I had the best skin of my life. Now literally only a month or so after stopping it my acne is back and worse than ever. Luckily my doctor wrote me a new prescription I'm praying it will work again because I cannot believe how bad it has gotten. If I have any advice for anyone please make sure you refill when you need to and keep taking it because it will come back if you don't keep taking it.

The only thing doxy gave me was blurry vision, crazy headaches, insomnia and anxiety after only 2 doses. I'd rather have pimples

I started with minocycline and barely had any side effects. Within a month my skin was significantly clear again. Then I went a week without it and switched to doxycycline and woke up at night with bad nausea and stomach pain. I still feel really queasy and anxious. However I haven’t had any pimples since. Idk if it’s worth it tho. Will probably go back to minocycline:/

I took doxycycline for cystic acne - it definitely didn't remove it completely, but it toned it down big time (no more large swelling). I believe that it affected my social anxiety (became pronounced during treatment; since then, it has been at a more elevated level than it ever was). I am aware that this is not considered a side-effect, but I have heard this being mentioned here and there in forum discussions. Interesting side-note: All my life, I have struggled with being bit excessively by mosquitoes , but after my treatment, I had a miraculous bite-free summer!

I started doxycycline yesterday , and I’ve been kind of nervous about the side effects . But so far I’ve been ok, I’ve also heard that clear skin from doxycycline are temporary. I guess I’ll find out in the future.

@@ver8o9nica54 ok so I’m still currently on doxycycline, It has seemed to reduce the inflammation and some of the redness from my acne but it’s not a huge difference . I take the pill after a meal to avoid any side effects and it worked!

@@x9a8r_56 ok so It was doing good till i ran out of it, took a couple of weeks for the acne to come back. Now I’m back on it again and it’s going away again. It takes more than 5 days to see results , depending on the person!
@@x9a8r_56 i don’t like the fact that doxycline is a probiotic meaning the side effects most of the time are temporary. I’m currently discussing the possibility of accutane with my dermatologist
Take probiotics as well either 2 hours after the antibiotic or before to help your stomach out and don’t lay down because you’ll get extreme stomach pain after taking the doxy

Can't give a proper update as I was taken off of this meds and prescribed hormonal treatment. I was feeling really nauseated with this. Hormone treatment is doing better for me. I had to clean up my diet and increase my water intake

kinda late but ive been taking doxycycline for 4 months and i never felt that. worse side effect ive experienced from this pill is nausea and vomiting which is pretty common, dont be afraid :)!

@@nekoamv_ yes it works! it's the only thing that's ever worked for me. however your doctor will probably not let you take it forever. in 2020, i took it for half a year and i had the clearest skin after about 2 months. i got off of it after 6 months and my skin went back to having acne. i'm back on it and it didn't work as good as it did 2 years ago mainly because im inconsistent with taking it. if you want clear skin i recommend taking it

Bloody diarrhea passed after i stopped using it, everything looks normal but idk iv been feeling very bored since iv used this

It can cause intracranial pressure in some and headaches as well. It it does just stop. There are other drugs for acne or skin.
2 days and my skin feels silky smooth!

I started on it some few weeks ago.
At first my skin was improving but now my skin is becoming spotty again with small bumps.
I guess it is the healing process though. You need to have patience to have this medicine.

Today was my second day taking Doxy.. I ate a bit before taking it... after about half an hour I had a really bad headache, and before I knew it, everything came up. I don't believe I will be continuing..

Pimples are no longer bothering me that much, it is just here and there ... some days. My face is improving and getting clearer

i'm not really sure, because when i started nothing happened and after like 2weeks my acne was getting better
+Nano Glee everyone is different I've been on this treatment before. However I find I have to stay on it for a while. My first time around I used it for 9 month by the 3rd month my skin was horrendous. However using aloe Vera everyday left me with minimal or no scarring. The worst part is having do deal with the first months of breakouts after that it's okay

Y'all tried tretinoin? That was the real shit! Made me break out hella and have cracked skin for about three months. Still taking it with doxycycline now but man oh man am I grateful that all that happens now is the casual headache and "I'm going to throw up really quick, one second." feeling! I'd take it over the purging with my first three months of tret.
You should not take those two medicine together it is a bad drug interaction

@@Nigory69 i don’t trust tret.. be careful and make sure to study it. Sometimes tretinioin comes with other ingredients that are comedogenic Hope it works for ya

I am not sure if you stopped taking it by now but I have learned that I can not wear makeup (besides eye make up) while on this medication. This medication can make your skin extremely dry. My dermatologist said it's okay to wear makeup but he doesn't recommend it (and don't use any products with acne medication in it).

Tianna Chye yes your body at first isn’t used to the medication keep taking in about a month you’ll notice improvements! If not speak to your doctor for different options.
Omg same! It’s been a month since I’ve used it, and my acne got worse. At first, it had dried it, but today a lot more have appeared on my forehead and the sides of my face🥺
