- Exercise for senior citizens- part 1
For lower body strength -
- 3 easy exercises to build strength in lower body
- All you need is a mat and a blanket and a staircase
- With stair climbing, do +1. This means if you are not doing any stair climbing, start with 1 floor. If you are already doing, add one floor.
Part 1 exercises - Do for two days, then take one day break, then repeat.
Note - The exercises in this series can be done by everyone including those with heart problems, diabetes, joint problems, etc.
Part 2 - coming tomorrow.

After two falls on my back,followed by spine surgery L3L4 can just about walk a little . Scared of falling again . Not allowed to squat . Even to sit on a low chair is uncomfortable and getting up worse
Kindly make some breathing exercises video bcoz our parents just recovered from covid and Pneumonia but saturation is still getting low. Need breathing exercises video,which may help. 🙏
You can follow pranyam videos, especially Vashisth Pranayam by Yoga Guru Dheeraj. This pranayam is extremely helpful for Covid patients.

Thanks dear, I will be doing it from tomorrow morning. I have swollen feet and lower legs all the time, not edema. As you said, it's painful and hard to do anything. But it seems feasible, I will be doing it for sure, but please let us know how many times we should be doing it and what time we can do.

I have a question to ask . I have osteoarthritis of both the knees . I am very encouraged to start and continue these exercises which are simple and seems to be effective . The movement of step climbing is painful . What would you suggest about this . I am sure with your experience you might be able to help me in this regard .

Thank you so much......my parents don't listen to me and my mom has just one excuse that my legs work fine coz she walks daily for an hour but I know she doesn't lift her leg much and that's a major problem also I can see it in her posture too ....but she saw this video and agreed to climb stairs everyday so thanks ❤️

This was definitely needed because senior citizens, at least the ones around me or the ones I talk to and try to convince to engage in exercise, are reluctant, and simply in denial mode at times. Your words will come with added compulsion and they may actually start working out.
