- In today's episode I want to talk about Joe Rogan's New Studio and the issues with lighting and such. It's really interesting how the little things make such a difference.
Edit: new mic, cool one ear only feature

This video goes out to all the left ears out there
i thought my speakers were broken 😑
Well done video brother...
but yeah I tho it my headphones were messed up too...
but overall excellent content I hope YOUNG JAMIE FIXES IT 🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥
The red hue makes me nervous and and the space makes me claustrophobic
Ron White is actually a dead Jedi master.
My right ear feels lonely now. -__-
Pretty decent analysis anyway, thanks.
Why didn’t you just fix the audio in post by duplacting the audio and channel flip it / turn it mono
Joe's LA studio looks like Texas
and his Texas studio looks like LA.
Best comment.
Makes some sense though
He didnt want to miss LA lol
Nobody like that color scheme. Its really just awful. Not sure wtf they were thinking
They should have just recreated his old studio/setup. This new one looks like a subterranean strip club.
...or an intergalactic opium den.
@@paulakapablo1749 amazing 😂
Great, now I want to go to a subterranean strip club.
He has a new Texas studio now
He has an even newer one now and it looks a lot like the good old studio.
“Looks like a Chinese restaurant” 😄
Everything is bigger in Texas, except Joe Rogan's studio
Genuine LOL
Genius
Maybe he's not in Texas 🤫
Lol he's renting a temporary spot at the onnit place, not his final spot
Yeah, its to red, and its to claustrophobic.
I just think it’s weird how Joe’s studio went from looking patriotic with the stars and stripes to literally looking like hell under Spotify... Really doe feel like a visual metaphor.
I'm amazed how bad that studio looks with his budget. I was expecting something spectacular
I was expecting he was going through recreate the old studio look and feel. He must've been on DMT when he designed it
why are they in a shack? looks like they're in one of those zip up car garages, why is the back wall shaped like that. there's no way that's in a building somewhere.
I can make something better with just scrap bricks and metal 😁
Moves to Texas, gets the smallest studio known to man... Only Joe things.
You know it's bad when literally ANYTHING is better than this. It's kinda killed the vibe of the show a bit for me.
I don't like the new studio.
It feels weird and builds up some kind of aggression.
The old was cozy and comfortable. The new is like *red alert in the bunker*
It need straight walls, no blue light or red light reflection, no red reflecting walls.
Shocking how bad the new studio is, even with all that money. Really missed the mark.
Like my grandma said "You can't buy good taste". (but you can learn the fundamentals of design & lighting, or hire someone who knows)
@@MiqelDotCom I'd be interested to know if they actually did hire designers, or if it was young Jamie and Joe that came up with it all.
The old studio had character. This new one looks generic. Like you're inside an Asus gaming pc or something.
The whole thing needs to be scrapped. It looks like a holding cell for an Alien spacecraft. The wall behind Joe reminds me of the old Tron movie.
Jamie has OBVIOUSLY no clue what he is doing outside his computer comfort zone
Jamie wasn't even involved in the design... Joe rogan hired a design firm for this...
@@HarshNerf Joe has said on the podcast that Jamie had the largest input into the design of the new studio. I'm sure the design firm did as well.......they all failed lol
They need a bigger studio, with natural lighting, a wooden room like in LA. Simply the old Joe Rogan studio made a lot of sense, this one feels and looks like an Infrared healing room
my right ear is lonely
He needs to bring back the old studio with the red curtains and pictures hanging in the back.
when the world needed him the most, he came back
Kinda wish you kept going with a longer and more detailed analysis, your perspective was easy and interesting to listen to
I just think the natural thing for a podcast is that the visual needs to be somewhat cosy. It can have style, but it’s a long form chat, so there’s a mental connection with wanting to be comfortable.
Harsh light and weird colours just throws you off mentally
should have gone with WOOD! joe is an outdoors kinda guy and nice wood makes people feel at home and welcomed. Joe said he didn't wanna make it feel like it was a budget production. but I'm telling you nice wood does the trick and it appealing to look at. Red is too aggressive.
Yup on the latest episode it looked like Joe was infront of a green screen, was trying to figure out why, what you said makes sense.
He should hire you to fix this.
1:44 ahhhh that’s so much better
Nobody is talking about those silly boxes and it's been bugging me since his move to TX
dude you’re underrated
This is one of those studios that is probably freaking awesome in person, but just doesn't translate well on camera.
I agree...
You're spot on with the studio size. All these issues would be fixed by having more space. I mean, you'd think they'd have the money for a bigger studio!
I can't believe how much they fucked this up. Why would you paint a tiny room red with red lights? Everyone is going to look fucking red because they're being bathed in red light. Can we also talk about how red is one of the worst colors when it comes to compression/colorspace/whatever? If you've ever watched a stream you'll know red text always shows up much fuzzier than any other color.
they've got some adjusting to do, but Joe is humble and I love the guy, so I know they'll get it right in the near future.
Joe is worth $50 million. He couldn’t find a studio that is bigger than my dad’s 1985 RV?
hes worth well over 50 million
He is worth 100 million actually
@@fiction5346 taxes
Give him a break, he may not be able to afford anything bigger 😂
he can't smoke in texas so the look is a result of his withdrawal
Did he build the studio in a bunker container? Why not just build a whole new building like he did before? It's not like he can't afford it, with all that Spotify cash laying around.
Joe has on insta picture during building that studio and I think they should stick with that exposed wooded arches, they look very natural and friendly.
Its the fact that he's in a nuclear bunker lmao
Those ceiling lamps are Turkish, not Chinese. But everything else you said hit the mark. The studio looks dreadful and Spotify sucks.
Fix your left dominant audio. Good video, though.
Good catch, thanks! 🙏
Thanks. I was wondering what was up. I genuinely thought the first interview was shot with a green screen.
Your audio is weird btw. Voice is coming through in mono.
Thanks for the heads up! Just got a new mic and found a new feature haha
It was a “red room” with a demon in the corner 😂
It looks like the inside of a submarine with giant toasters on the wall.....
My left ear enjoyed this video.
Quality content! You deserve way more subs dude... Keep up the good work!
🙏 thanks!
Amazing work. I also miss the frontal camera. It's weird never seeing Joe and the guest together. In one of the episodes they actually showed a strange angle from a cheap low-res webcam. I actually like the new studio, but I think there's a lot that needs fixing.
why is your audio panned to the left when you are talking?
Thanks for the heads up, I didn’t notice the feature on my new mic haha
Lol I just thought I broke my earphones again
It looks like what I imagine what the inside of an ancient alien obelisk would look.
I never realized the importance of good lighting until now...thanks. great video
Joe Rogan has his studio in an underground prepper's survival bunker. They say that everything is bigger in Texas... everything but Joe Rogan's studio.
Great analysis
Bro i love your content bro you’re the best
Everything. Everything is wrong with Joe's new studio.
Well done and continuing to make the great, greater and the greatest the best !!
Small room, check
Small joe, check
Chinese restaurant, check
Brilliant observation.
yes sir good evaluation, for me the red is too kinda harsh if u watching a 3 hour show , maybe a green be better , softer on the eye
Finally, you're back.. or I missed videos.. not sure which
Looks cool to be there in person. But awful for filming because it's too dark. The lighting in his previous studio was vastly superior. Now it looks as if they're inside an oven.
You know your popular when a video about your new studio gets 20k views
Nice observation! I would've never realized how big the differences if you hadn't made the comparisons
My back hurts when I watch anything from the new studio.
Somebody send this to Jamie ASAP lol
He should have hired a lighting expert for his new studio.
the audio is so panned left, its hard to sit through
"It looks like colon" - Alex Jones
Old studio, nice wibe! Not the same anymore! Feel like wrong song kills the dance floor!
I originally thought it was a green screen background, their movements literally don't match up with it
Awesome video!
came back just to remember this >
It looks better now. They soften the walls with blue.
That red colour everywhere is known to make people angry, great review dude, i was thinking exactly at Seinfeld haha
I was wondering if it was just me , so I looked it up , ..yea the new studio is 'odd' for a lack of a meaner word. Maybe they are in an RV ? Waiting on the 'Real' "New Studio" to be finished ....I Hope .
That red backgroud give you anxiety.
You can see the panels actually have 666 in them in a pattern once you see it you cannot unsee
Sure thing
Mono your recorded audio bro
I prefer the old studio
My left ear enjoyed this
Live from inside Invader Zim's spaceship...
yea hes doing the interviews in a sauna now
hes doing interviews from inside a trager grill
His new studio is actually an infrared sauna
You didn't explain the ganesh statue(hindu god) in the corner
What kind of glasses do you have? I legit like them and am looking for a new pair!
Thanks! I think they are called “Brady” on Warby Parker
@@filmmakersformula Thanks! I'm gonna go check em out tomorrow!
The studio is dope af
My left ear agrees with you.
I like the Ganesha in his studio
It looks like he's filming in the back of an airstream.
I’ve lived in one. And I’m 95% sure you’re right.
I think joe drove all the way to Houston, picked up one of those discarded space shuttle shells and converted it into a studio.
The background should never overshadow the people talking and the topic. Looks like a space pod in hell. 😉
Hey guys just an update he changed the lighting
He just changed the studio again, lol. It looks like it could be a waiting room for the old studio.
That first podcast was awful. Joe was to drunk
This is why production designers exist. They clearly didn't consult one.
It is pretty weird considering how much money he has available to not just move the studio, but upgrade it. Also the considerable leverage of California to Texas cash flow should have secured a much larger space. All of this could have been done "offline" with all the required testing done well in advance of a live show. They should have spent a few weeks on design, about the same on the build, and then about that again on testing and tweaks.
Great video! Good accurate points
He seemed to fix a bunch of this in the new episode
That studio simply is not gonna last...fire whomever designed that thing...and I like Chinese food, well some.
I thought it was only me who thought the new studio looks super bad.
Good analysis 👍
This is the third video I've watched analysing Joes new studio, lol.
my left ear enjoyed the video
why the hell didn't he have a studio like the set of a space ship - that would have been so cool.
Everyone saying it looks thrash has never watched any of his podcasts on LSD or any other psychedelic.
