ABT also extends beyond writing into building basic communication skills. I grew up with undiagnosed ADHD and until college, I wouldn't have been able to summarize my day w/o it turning into a three hour one sided rant where I divulged into tangent after tangent. In my mind, all thoughts and memories are interlaced like a spider web. As I recount one event, my brain pings onto another, usually only tangentially related, and I become inappropriately fixated on it to the point I forget I mentioned the prior, sometimes entirely. ABT provides a conversational template spiderweb minds like mine can stick to, which can make socialization dramatically less stressful/anxiety inducing. It's so much harder to say the wrong thing or completely take over a conversation when there's a framework to stick to.

I just think the natural thing for a podcast is that the visual needs to be somewhat cosy. It can have style, but it’s a long form chat, so there’s a mental connection with wanting to be comfortable. Harsh light and weird colours just throws you off mentally
