There's two things that you two forgot about this episode that might be a bit frustrating for you to realize you've forgotten in the very next episode. I'll remind you in this comment, but if you want to keep the run fully blind, then please feel free to ignore this. This is info you already have, but I totally understand if you'd rather not be directed in this way. (Spoiler guard to make it easier for you to ignore if you prefer) You ended the episode by saying three things you plan to do next episode: read the diary, sharpen the Keyknife, and look as Mira's statue, which "Should all be on the third floor". But to sharpen the Keyknife, you need the Sharpening Stone, which you haven't grapped in this loop yet - so if you loop to the third floor it won't be in your inventory. You found the Sharpening Stone in the forge on the first floor. And you read the diary in the main library on the second floor. The thing you're thinking about on the third floor is a letter talking about running away from home.
You're "jealous" of the thing you want, and "envious" of the person who has the thing you want. Colloquially, though, "jealous" is often used to mean "envious"
Weird. I thought jealousy involved toxically protecting something you already had as well, like keeping other people away from your romantic partner. Maybe it's a translation issue for me since my first language is spanish
The dead end on the 2nd floor leads to the Infirmary: only things of note inside are a sick 'frozen in time' traveller, a bottle of Grape Juice and a broken doll the rest of the party finds creepy but Sif thinks is cute and nabs, before being forced to drop it because alas it's in a dead end and that means you can never have it with you while still actually progressing
It's nice seeing how much of a Ludo narrative harmony this game has with its loops and players wanting to skip time. Also, you mentioned some developer tricks, what were those? I don't think you elaborated on those!
They built their quests to induce a certain kind of playstyle, looping forwards and backwards all the time fir specific items, rather than encouraging full runs. That allows them to predict that the average player will atart feeling disconnected by loop X, and time Sif's apathy to that point in the story. It's a much more advanced version of tricks pulled in UT and Omori
How is this the first time I've heard anyone make a joke on "going loopy" regarding this game? It feels like such obvious, low hanging fruit in retrospect
The loopskips are probably programmed to happen after either a) loop 20 or b) Loop's hangout or even c) checking the star room after reading the articles. (Cause that leads to Siff musing more on his forgetfullness)
2:42 We barely even started and I am reminded why I love this playthrough and game so much. 7:35 Always been a huge fan of prortrait changes. This game just has everything in "What Gabrote42 likes about story driven games" but the kitchen sink. Honestly if the ending is good enough this might just become my 4th favourite game of all time 13:50 Theory confirmed. What else... 15:01 The advantage is that unlike most anti-memes, it's very noticeable 17:57 The hole left behind, an amputated limb in the word, whose joints and bone structure hint at it's presence. This is very tragic, I am so moved. Your VAing is extremely good given the circumstances. 31:54 We can do this, we can do this, we can do this! 33:41 I see what you mean. Man kinda sad 39:23 *RE:ACTION!* YESSSS. She reacted! She exists! 49:22 Ouch. Assigning them roles is probably strange too tho 51:30 Who is she envious of then? The King? Siffrin?? 1:10:44 So relatable oh my god. I thought it was gonna be a spell in the erased tongue. This is even better 1:13:06 And so we wait for the next episode. Hyped
38:22 a game that makes you wait a whole hour for something? No way that exists! The Witness puzzle game only makes you wait a whole 56 minutes for 100% 😉😉
Ooh wait, in what floor does bonnie over listen to others conversation about death? Could you do something with that now that you didn't do bonnies quest?
Loop: Is that your found family? That's cringe
Sif: YOU'RE CRINGE
Loop: .....🥺🥺🥺
Siff is so valid for just wanting some spicy peppers

51:23 Gina is right! Jealousy is desire, envy is resentment

@@gabrote42no, you’re right, it means that too!

Gina, it's in the room with you! Oh God she has airpods in she can't hear us!

according to the wiki, the loopskips start happening in Act 3 whenever you don't have the Memory of Self equipped
I have a feeling that the change god statues were destroyed when the crafter got frozen, hence why Mirabelle's is still intact
Hear me out, what if y'all started skipping episode numbers like skipping loops?
This would be a hilarious gag.
It would also make me question my sanity as I desperately try to find the episode I missed.
Hilarious. Cruel. But hilarious.
I vote against but this is very smart

28:30 just spitballing, but if you talk to bonnie before odile like how you do with Isabeau, would that conversation change?
