Perspective Mode for Shallow Water Bass Fishing (Episode 19)

- When running shallow water for bass, Garmin Livescope's perspective mode really shines. While forward view excels at deeper water, finding fish in the water column, and vertical structure, perspective mode works great in shallow water, on horizontal structure, and giving you an idea of how a spot or school of fish is set up. Being able to pan around, it allows you to see a live underwater view of the cover around you and any fish staging on it. We took this technology out for the first time chasing shallow water bass in areas we have fished for years and were able find some new features here and there. However, in some areas, we found it more productive to leave it stowed and just fish a pattern since we already knew the layout of the area. Due to a cold snap, we didn't see many fish roaming the shallows on this trip. Hopefully, as it warms, the lake rises, and fish move up, I will be able to upload some better footage of fish on the perspective view.
I see that your transducer has the marks to match up with the mount to make sure your views match up. Where did you get the marks from? Are they stickers?
It is a sticker that came wirth the mount. They send you two for either port or starboard.
how do you hide the controls from the bottom of your screen? To be more specific the "Back" "Nav Info" "Home" "Mark" and "Menu" buttons.
It’s in the Display Settings under Auto Hide. Go to Settings, System, Display, Menu Bar Display, Auto Hide.
If u don't mind I'm looking to buy livescope, what model unit is that u have, thats a good picture on that, thanks Cliff
I have the 93 sv UHD. I got the ones that were on sale back before Christmas that came with the GT54UHD transducers. The new ones with the GT56UHD transducers are a bit more expensive but supposedly have a better side and down image. However, I use the live scope for almost everything. Thanks for watching!
@@InItfortheLimit I appreciate that, I have 1 livescope transducer hooked up to a 1222 unit for forward view, gonna get a 2nd livescope transducer and 9" or 10" unit for perspective view, so each unit and transducer will be dedicated and I won't have to keep rotating one transducer, I loved how clean ur unit looks on perspective view, my 1222 looks good on forward view but not really clear on perspective like ur unit, thank for ur reply and help
I also have my pole on a Ram Mount. I’ve found sometimes it helps to arch or tilt the transducer up or down depending on the water depth.
