3:33 spectral gate is not like random tones... What it does is only lets through the loudest frequencies... Just as a gate does, only for each frequency And i love it
I also love botanica - in moderation lol. I feel like it can easily become a thing where all songs sound the same, if it's too chaotic and too many samples. But if it's done with good taste then I think it can sound really cool. Also I think you would enjoy Tennyson! :) He's amazing at this sort of stuff. He has a lot of good songs but I would recommend: - All yours - Dolphin - Streamer 2 Chome - Kaonashi
@@zugrath16 Agree on the first point, that's why I usually avoid tutorials. But now I want to apply these sounds to my own music. Will listen to your recommendations, thanks :)
Thanks for the peek into a new genre, I’d love to see more videos breaking down newish genres! Recently I’ve been exploring dub ambient as a genre to try my hand at
Also you can take the foley sounds and stop them into serum, and then play around with comb filters and use key tracking in serum for some great sounds!
So funny, i have so many song seeds in yhis style. But i was calling it "sex dream Glitch" 😂😂😂 I purposely come up with my own genre names based on the imagry that pops up in my head when listening to my tracks
Yeah, gonna have to look into this haha. I love all the new genres that are taking root. Every song on top of Spotify might sound the same, but I do believe putting free and cheap music tools in the hands of real creatives is driving innovation. The future is going to sound really cool, especially as spatial audio becomes more accessible.
Kind of like Tipper at times, such as the Fathoms type stuff, this is great. I'm trying it but will probably add breakbeats
I love botanica. I found some of the glitch effects and impacts useful for hyperpop.
@@lisettehightowermusic I love the impacts specially when layered with watery spectral stuff
It sounds like hyper pop in a way, I feel there's definitely influence.

Yeah, I meant it more as what the results sound like
@@AlexReidStudios fair enough
Altho with simpler stuff with no movement...

that's cool, I love it. It's like instruments and sounds mimic a nature landscape. I want to learn more about!

Glad you came up in my feed, really interesting tips and tricks! gonna have to try some of those spectral plugins. Awesome stuff dude!
Best part, there are a lot of great free plugins for this kind of sounds. Thanks for watching and glad you liked it :)

That's true! You can use pretty much all other advanced synths like Phase Plant, Current, Pigments and Vital
Its cool its like an excited chillstep - I can hear a chillstep beat in this.
@@richertz you're right!
*gives alex a flower pot to put in botanical plants*
Thank you
Lunacy Audio has a nice little Botanica expansion for CUBE as well for anyone interested in that ecosystem!
thanks for your insight. very interesting, i think it's perfect for ambient music
Yeah, it's some kind of ambient in a way :)
Throw in a drum n bass drums and you got some old Dreamcast vibe ish
Will definetly test that lol
yep, pling plong plung, slurp knadaloorphabooshnikwooaaa (i hope i didn't accidently insult someone in polish, this was supposed to be botanica)
@@Beatsbasteln LOOOOL
If you like Botanica, I suggest Future Sound of London and Neotropic.
Gonna check them out :)
Ha. I clicked on this due to my ADHD... Now I know why we like so many of the sane random musical musings!
