- Does Venice live up to our high expectations? We've had this magical water city on our bucket list for SO long and we are finally here, ready to spend the entire day exploring! We squeeze our way through Venice's narrowest street, see St. Mark's Square, venture up the bell tower, have delicious fast food pasta at Del Moro's, and so much more!

Glad you talked about the canal water. I had always heard it was filthy, and years ago read that people used to throw their garbage out of their windows into the canal. I kept looking at the water and thinking it looked so pretty and clean and was impressed!! Then Chelle held her nose. lol. After all the amazing pasta you've been eating in Italy, how will you ever eat boxed pasta at home again???
I love Venice so much, so glad I have been there once. You should visit some of the glass blowing factories that they are known for.
Venice has never been on my bucket list but I’m enjoying it through your eyes. Continue to be safe ☺️❤️

I agree with you on the food not being that good. The best meals we had were at Trattoria Bar Ponte (near the train station) with the BEST tiramisu in the world and Del Morro Pasta, where you got the box o pasta. Everything else was kind of a bust :) Florence and Rome have some amazing restaurants. San Marco 596 has the best masks and you can take a class to make one yourself, too. If you head towards Vincenza, there is a pottery store that makes Tiffany and Lennox and a few others and sells it for 5% of the cost! I can send you the name. They mail to the USA, too.
Thanks for another awesome video. If you have time you should go to Murano it's an island in Venice they make so many glass things. It's pretty cool 😎
You have to visit Doges Palace. Most amazing ceilings I have ever seen.
Dan, if you like climbing tower stairs, go to Copenhagen. There are the stairs on the outside of the church tower. Wonderful view from the top.

I'm left wondering how long it would have taken you to get from the train station via car, compared to the water taxi, to your AirB&B after this Vlog? 🤔I'm thinking that you probably would have had a wee walk after the car dropped you off.

I went to Venice in September this year. It was so wonderful. Our hotel was at the best location for everything. The square was so fun! Did you guys eat a lot of pasta and pizza?
Islands in the bay are a real must in Venice - Murano, Burano, Lido, etc. One of the tricks to better food in Venice is not to go for the best looking restaurant. The tourist places invest in the facade. Go to the place with the pealing paint and no tables, only places to stand.
You must get the Vaporetto to Burano and Murano islands, they’re gorgeous and much quieter than the main island.

Bel video, complimenti. Due curiosità su Venezia: All'inizio dell'800 Napoleone modifico il fondo della piazza San Marco eliminando la chiesa di San Germiniano creando la cosiddetta ala napoleonica. Agli inizi del '900 il campanile di San Marco crollò e la ricostruzione finì 10 anni dopo. bye

I have always wanted to go to Venice Italy. 1 thing that stopping my husband and I from going. Is that you have to pay to get into Venice Italy. Is that true? That's what we got told. Venice Italy looks absolutely stunning 😍
You only have to pay if you are visiting and not staying in Venice overnight as a guest.
Yes but its not expensive!! I think we paid 8 euro’s to go from land to san marco square. The yellow taxi/transfer boats! 😁

Venice it's known to have not so good food, because they're never fresh, there is no place plant and make stuff, so they are all imported in a can
