    I recently used this method to make a monogram for a wedding cake. It turned out beautiful! I saved this tutorial in my playlist for future reference. Thank you so much for sharing this technique!

    Thank you Minette for this very helpful tutorial. I loved the monogram you used and was wondering where one might find these gorgeous designs.

    It is ok for the customer to consume the graphite that has rubbed off onto the cookie?

    Thank you! Great idea with the cookies! I'll have to give it a try.

    Hi Daniela, yes you can use this technique to transfer an image to fondant. Make sure your cake is cold (not frozen) so the pressure doesn't damage the fondant.

      Todaraba, you can always use gel color diluted with lemon extract and paint it free handed.

    Thank you so much. I am new to painting on fondant/sugarpaste/royal icing. This video illustrated perfectly what to do and although I have to practice I will use your technique as it is the best I have seen. :0)

    I also would like to know if graphite is food safe?

    • @Savannahcustomcakes
      @Savannahcustomcakes  10 років тому

      Hi Bonnie, graphite is non-toxic. If you are concerned about your clients ingesting it, you can always let the bride know the monogram plaque is to be removed before serving. Thank you!

      I don't know that graphite is food safe as it's not a food product. I do know that it is non-toxic. hth

    What type of painting brushes are the best to use? I have tried different brands/prices, but have been having the worst luck with bristles shedding..

      @Savannahcustomcakes  10 років тому

      Nicole, I like to use a small, thin round brush for monograms. Thank you for watching!

    Suzi Sukamonastir graphite is non toxic and while it's not something I would search out to eat, it won't harm you. I always recommend the monogram be removed before serving.
