ABOUT TODAYS VIDEO: Home Remedies For Seizures In Dogs
The cause of seizures can be from an underlying acute health condition such as liver disease, intoxication from vaccines, stress from chronically low ionic mineral intake, nerve and endocrine system disruption from pesticide use in your yard or from flea and tick or dewormer products.
If your dogs seizures regularly appear, your dog may have epilepsy, that while there's no cure for this uncontrolled brain condition, CBD will help to manage the condition.
CBD or cannabidiol is used extensively for the treatment of epilepsy in humans and since dogs experience this disorder too, it can be used for them and has even proven more effective than the conventional phenobarbitol drugs used to combat seizures.
In fact, studies suggest that 5% of dogs have frequent seizures and the conventional drugs administered usually have damaging side effects to internal organs such as the liver. CBD has improved the health of dogs with seizures by greatly reducing the incidence of seizure even in cases when these seizures are termed “drug resistant”.
The FDA have also recently approved a drug for the treatment of epilepsy, so the door is opening for CBD to be used in many health conditions and recent studies have concluded CBD's abilities to halt cancer cell growth and shrink existing tumors.
CBD oil must come in a glass dropper bottle (not plastic) and be organic. CBD is dispensed into your dog’s food or can be given directly by mouth under the tongue. I recommend giving under your dogs tongue if that's possible, as its more effective by this method simply because it gets directly into your dogs blood stream rather than eaten with food which means your dogs liver will filter out some of its effectiveness.
Look for a CBD product in the 300 to 500 mg range that's been organically grown using full CO2 extraction.

• Dogs up to 20lbs give a 1/4 dropper
• Dogs 20-50lbs give a 1/2 dropper
• and Dogs over 55lbs give a full dropper

Dan Scott, I bought CDB oil for my 4 year old German Shepherd I begin treatment 2 weeks ago but my dog is not responding he continues with his seizures my question is how long does it take for the CDB oil to make effect.
That's a great start and what have you done on the diet improvements? (it's the combination that makes the difference as mentioned in the video).
Also, are there any drugs involved, including vaccinations. Your dog really needs anti-seizure diet, CBD and NO drugs.

Same here , I took Lucy to the vet again after the first seizure and he said she had an ear infection ! Antibiotics for the ear and started on CBD for the seizure. 10 days later. So far , so good .
Can dogs get psychomotor seizures from severe anxiety from thunderstorms? My dog was panicking from hearing the thunder and 2 days later at night he started looking at things that were not there and shaking- no thunder. This went on for a few hours on and off.

I've been giving my 10lb kitty CBD for seizures. My CBD is 100 drops per bottle for a total of 300 mg. I give him 2 drops and am wondering if I should give him a little more. His seizures are slow-mo, not grand maul and last a few minutes. Any thoughts ?
Try more and see. CBD oil is dose dependant and your cat may need a higher dose.
I recommend the cat being on a fresh food only diet and no vet drugs or vaccines given.
