This is exactly the kind of video that I needed to see. I have been considering getting a rear sway bar for my Wraith Spawn and was wondering how it might affect the articulation. Thank you for putting this out.
I never used to watch your channel, but eventually I watched more vids. Saw you had a capra, and then got A mojave and I was hooked. I love the constant uploads too. Keep up the good work! Subbed of course
Cool man, I have more mods to do to the Mojave, I got the Vitavon diff cases to get installed and give a run and I want to step up on the 8s motor a bit too, try a 1650 kv in there. I'm having an issue with the rear skid/bumper mount under the chassis, mine has been pulled down so I'll be making a home made skid plate to take care of that issue for good. I'll probably put all that in the same video. Thank you for being a part of the channel man and I'm glad you are liking the content.
Honestly, not being to familiar with scale crawling, this seemed a bit counterintuitive to me. I do now see where it would be beneficial, especially when the truck is almost on its side and helping to prevent it from falling over. Like you said, the articulation is still there, but assists just enough to help with stability. One of these days, I just might get a crawler 🙂
Nathan Storer Only if you have great self control should you get a crawler...I used to think they were for retards, I drove one, now I have at least 14 crawlers...
Hey Joe I watch most of your videos and I live in panama city a few hours from you but is the exopark open for public man I would love to come take my crawlers there it looks EPIC!!!
Hey bro I love your videos but I just have to ask why your reefs sway bar kit has a Treal tag on the top of the bag? Are the two companies teaming up or something?
What is up with the clicking on the scx10iii and trx4. Must be a portal thing. I Would be taking apart and sanding or modifying whatever makes the noise
@@josbarhorst right I understand the principle but in the full size world, you definitely don't want one.. I realized new Jeep rubicon's come with them but you're able to disconnect them at the push of a button when off-roading.
Like already said its for tuning and depending on the vehicle it can really help it out. When I had my big truck it was a bit top heavy and I had swaybars at both ends but it still flexed out well. On these, you have to figure in that they have about 2000 scale horsepower, even brushed so if we ran that in our real trucks we'd probably see many of the same issues here, except we'd be in the hospital a lot lol!
I’m with you on this as my actual crawler doesn’t use it but I am curious to see how this would perform with a little top heavier of a body such as a Redcat Gen 8 scout body or just add a rear tire to this JL body. Also on 100mm shocks. I could see major results from this rear sway using these samples.

@@ExocagedRC And a lot of people are ultimately going to lose their 'modest' back yards. It sucks to weigh a $45 anti-sway bar for a 1/10 scale RC against paying your mortgage/rent, or simply groceries.
It’s the Same ol same ol . Should have atleast drove the Wood course. And slide. Change it up some. You could probably use that on opt-3 with its twist. (It lays down on one side in the back ) more than that truck . Short wheel base needs all it’s articulation.
One reason I use some of the same spots is to show certain things that need to be seen, plus as you've seen others go up those same spots you can get a feel for how this does compared to others. Oh and yeah I have another swaybar on the table, its slated for the Redcat Wendigo but yeah getting one on Optimus 3 is also under consideration.
What's the width of the sway bar between the arms? I have a much hated CR-01 I've modified to a coil over suspension with a stretched but it has horrific torque twist. Thx

The best upgrade addon to the 10.3 so far! Amazing control change for sure!!
Definitely looks more in control with the sway bar. Looks like a Big improvement for the vehicle all around . 👍👍👍👍😀
Great video! I adapted a Currie Anti-Rock to my SCX10 Rubicon a while back and agree with all of your points. 🏁💯
После этого видео сделал самодельный стабилизатор! Лучшего вложения в управляемость я не видел)

Exocaged RC my skid plate did the same and I am all for diy so I will defo be checking out what you make.

@@bigchungus-oj8zz hahahaha! Well, self control is not something I possess lol
To be honest when I seen this I was kinda like..why? But now I get it watching the performance of it so that is awesome
You should see how badly the rear left tire folds when going up near vertical climbs. It's almost embarrassing.
Get up for work and watch Exo. It’s becoming a habit lol.
lol
NOLA Weezy same🤣
Yessir same here
Get off of work and catch up every day 🤘
What's this WORK you speak of? 😜
They put me out to Pasture about 11 years ago. I'd give anything to be able to GO to work.
Wonder if this will work on the element ecto!

What a interesting video~~~My friend~~!!
Is there a kit for the TRX4??
Off camber is where sway bars are money
Sway bars on a crawler? Never heard off that.
Would stiffer springs help instead Incase u don't want a role bar
in some ways yeah you can do that, keeping ride height may be an issue if the springs are too long
Heavier shock oil will help too, but why no sway bar? Results are obvious...
Hey bro I love your videos but I just have to ask why your reefs sway bar kit has a Treal tag on the top of the bag? Are the two companies teaming up or something?
Will this work on an SCX10 II? And is there somewhere to buy the 3d printed part?
Thank you for great videos.
Another great video
What 3D printer are you using
Ender 3 is what I use
You did fine, could really see the effect. Also, what oil weight and springs are you running there?
Stock springs and stock oil
@@ExocagedRC Would "upgrading" the shocks and oil have the same effect? Or would upgrading shocks and installing the sway bar be the cat's meow?
@@jlu_midlifecrisis1336 depends what you want.
Did you by chance try this on your Ryft?
No sir I did a Hot Racing Bomber front Swaybar on the back of the Ryft. You saw that video right?
@@ExocagedRC I did. I’m about to do the same on mine but I just love Reefs stuff.

UA-cam didn't give me a notification wtf!
Yeah I rarely if ever get comment notifications.
Tangent timer... what 3-D printer do you own? Or better yet, which one would you recommend? TIA. ~;+}>
I have a box stock Ender 3 and so far I'm happy with it. There are a lot of models to choose from and at this time mine is an older one.
Exocaged RC Thanx Joe! That is the one John from HH did some reviews of! Was possibility lookin at the Ender 5!?! Still lookin round! ~;+}>
Option plus option il et si mauvais comme chassis et quel poids a la fin ?
Big difference
the problem is, the chassis itself flexes.
will this reefs kit fit a trx4?
Not sure, I’m sure it could be made to fit but I’ve never tried it.
Never been a fan of a sway bar on a trail crawler. It's kind of defeating the purpose have a solid axle
It's just a tuning aid, for solid axles as well as independant types.
@@josbarhorst right I understand the principle but in the full size world, you definitely don't want one.. I realized new Jeep rubicon's come with them but you're able to disconnect them at the push of a button when off-roading.
That is true about the full size Rubi, however it only disconnects the front sway bar, the rear stays connected.
