@@dennisrobinson8008 It’s a rebuilt by the previous owner & I’m still waiting on all the rebuild paperwork. If he can’t find it, I will take it to a shop to get all the specs. Thx💪

Finally completed my 69 Chevelle complete frame off. Did most work with me and two of my brothers and father. I went with a 572 and added a pro charger. I had the Chevelle since 94 and it just sat until I decided to get to it. I love it!

I miss those cars. I grew up owning Roadrunners, Chevelles, Barracudas, and Galaxies. Have daily driven 440s, 396s, 383s. I thought me now wife how to drive in a ford with a 429. It has come time for me to start pulling cars out of the weeds, and building the big blocks I have sitting in the shop.
That same car, wheels and all, has been my screensaver for the last 7yrs❤

This is my dream car
My dear neighbor had a SS just like this in the 1980s. She sold it to alcoholic neighbor & he tree planted it. I use to love to see her smile the tires. Then my other had a 1970 Chevelle 350 auto in the collar, 2dr. She gave it to her Grand daughter. Her call didn't have 30k miles on it. She works around the corner at the record center & use to walk to work daily. The car was only used for short trips when I came of age. My mother use to take her most of the places in our car. Them was the good ole days

I've seen exactly ONE real SS Chevelle. Middle of nowhere north of new Orleans. Super clean like this red one, except white with race stripes. Sounded meaner than a drunk stepfather alright. Think he worked at a neighboring oil refinery to the one I worked at.

See I'm glad you did cover the whole bought vs built. Me if I had more time I'd build my 2016 Mustang GT more but I currently don't have that much time but I also have 5 children and three dogs. My youngest who was just born this January from an emergency so she was 6 weeks early has a Gtube and has to be fed and get meds at certain times so she takes up my spare time after I come home from working from 4 am to when I get at 6PM and then by the time my actual free time starts its 10pm. Sometimes bought is the way to go for the moment for somepeople but eventually when you get the time building said bought vehicle can be just as fun and rewarding too. GURU bro you got to do a Video on the guy who put a Demon engine in a S197 Mustang bro. Please bro I need your hilarious take on that physical manifestation of the Snap from Thanos.

I had a '70 chevelle.. I changed the seats to swivel buckets, I put in a new 12 bolt rear, custom exhaust and tips, b&m floor shift and fly wheel, Holly 4 brl, race gages, stereo. Then I couldn't work on it anymore because of my health😢

No way that 454 has 300 hp....they have WAAY MORE hp and tq than that, try close to 500 or 600 hp, maybe close to 650 tq. Beautiful Chevelle. 😊❤

I cant agree with the no small block statement.... 377-383-406 is a go too engine any day for a bunch of people. Even a properly built BB396 has its place in some cases
Built always has, always will be better than bought. But listen here, this built car right here, if sold to another owner becomes a bought car, because he didnt f*n do it. That's the difference - the driver/owner/builder. Sure, theyre still a car guy, you might know your stuff, i wont take that away from anyone. But there's a certain respect I have for someone who went through the *journey* of building. They know how the car was in the begining, middle, and end. They bonded with the car. Anyone with money can buy a nice car of any year make model, but only a tuner can own a car they built.

@@musclecargang from my understanding putting a “tune” on something is done electronically, things like timing and fuel map, etc thru the engine computer and since this car is completely mechanical how are you gonna put a tune on it aside from adjusting the distributor and the carburetor?
@@DennisFrechette-et6gg You can still tune the Carburetor, Spark plugs, Cam, and Distributor cap all with the right setting.
