My cars have always got to be 4 speeds. My Chevelle story. Bought a ‘64 in 1973 from the original owner, 283 2bbl, 2d HT. Wanted to buy a 70 SS396 with 4 spd and ZL2 Cowl Induction. A 1 owner up the street from me was selling one. Black/black with white stripes. Think he wanted $3,000. Offered him $2,500. No go. Hrs go by, I’m still in HS living at home. My mother said a guy dropped by looking for you. Next week at school I see a guy driving the car. Pissed me off. The original owner bought a dumb ass Laguna.
