- Sorry for the previous video. Bad lighting, too far away etc.
I'm trying to get a little better with my production value.
Hope this closer view helps you to get a better look.
Still learning :)
Thanks for watching. - Комедії
I have a previous version of this knife which is called 2.0. It’s very similar to yours new generation 1.0. I think only the difference is the glossy sheat with leather belt strap. I love it👍
I am really enjoying this one and may get the next size up.
I just received my Morakniv 1/0 and I think it's a sweet little Classic knife. I also have the Classic 2 so there a great combination. Thanks for the Video 😎👍
That is a good combo. I may add another classic in the future. Enjoy yours.
@@TinyIslandMaine Thank You, and you would most certainly enjoy another one for Sure. And yes I have been enjoying mine, Thank You Again for your Video, and Content, Much appreciated 😎👍
Love, love, love Mora knives. Hate the sheaths.
I've almost pulled the trigger on one of these a few times, but always held off. I need to go ahead and get one-- I have the Classic #1, but I think this little 1/0 would be an excellent little wood carving knife. The Classic 1 is a great carver itself, but that's a little too much blade for some stuff.
Thanks for the look, and the review.
I also LOVE Mora knives and dislike the sheath and am looking for a leather replacement.
Simple but good!
I love my mora classic 1 and all of my mora woodcarving knives and tools. I really want to get one of these as I have heard that they now have a 3 inch blade. And were I live we can only carry a knife with a 3 inch or less blade in public. When I get one it will definitely be my edc knife.
Yes the blade is 3”. Here is some info I found online. Good luck.
Blade Material: high carbon steel
Knife Length: 6.5 inches (16.5 cm)
Blade Length: 3 inches (7.6 cm)
Blade Width: 0.6 inches (1.5 cm)
Blade Thickness: 0.07 inches (1.8 mm)
Knife Weight: 1.4 ounces (40 grams)
Handle Length: 3.5 inches (8.9 cm)
Pommel: tang end
Handle Circumference: 2.75 inches (7 cm)
Handle Material: stained birch wood
Sheathed Weight: 1.9 ounces (54 grams)
Sheathed Length: 7.5 inches (19 cm)
Belt Loop Width: 1.5 inches (3.8 cm)
@@TinyIslandMaine Thank you for the information.
Looks better for the changes, and I hate the plastic belt loops, they always break on me. Worth a bit of a price increase but certainly not the price increase we got😂
Nice review buddy
Take care
Thanks for the kind words. I do love this little knife !
I think the increase in price is bc it needs manual labor to produce them and since they are so popular they can't keep up. They should try to develop a method to manufacture knives with wooden handles in an automatic way. They produce 25000 knifes a day!
Legal, bela faca!
i have the classic no 2 (4" blade) and the old no 3 (6" blade) and i love them
That’s a nice combo. I am kicking myself that I did not buy the originals when they were a bargain!
They used to always be through-tang, the more recent run where the rattail only goes part of the way had something to do with their machines, or production process for knives in different sizes or something like that, is what I heard. Back in the day it was just standard.
I think the tang is a rat tail and the metal ring in the bottom center of the handle holds it in.
@@TinyIslandMaine Yeah - it’s all rat tang but the old ones used to be all the way through with the ring, and then some more recent models started having a rattail that only went in about two thirds or so, which I kinda considered a step down. They fixed it on the new classics it seems.
@@whynottalklikeapirat Thanks good info. I have a Helle Arv where the tail goes all the way through and has a brass finial to finish it off.
@@TinyIslandMaine Ah yes. That ones a beauty for sure. I have a couple Helle blades lying around, that I plan to fit with handles of my own, when I get around to it. One a fishing blade the other one just basic woodcarving, pretty much like a mora and I plan on making something very close to a classic mora handle as well. Same idea of a knife just different materials. See what that does. I’ve been using the wabakimi lately, just to try something new. Had to get used to the wider blade, being more used to moras. But I am warming to it, it’s a great little knife as well. But I say that and then eventually I’ll be back to the old #1 or #2 as always xD
It’s not safe to wear it as a neck knife in that sheath. Make another. Thank me later.
- Mora user of 40 years …
Yes I am looking for some good leather as it will not fit into the sheaths I have.
@@TinyIslandMaine Good idea. I mainly use a leather sheath with a flap that my best friends dad made for an old mora when I was around 12 or 14 years old. Still works perfectly and I never gave it any treatments. I have the knife as well, but I’ll use the sheath for different ones. It got me into leatherworking though, so I also still keep the first sheath I tried to make myself. Looks like something found in a bog, but it kinda works if you can bear looking at it xD
@@whynottalklikeapirat Thanks I have been doing some simple leather work and will try to fashion my own for this knife.
