Please Make a Video about the,,sacki messer''ITS a bloody amazing German knife for a ok price
Look into the condor terrasaur.
You will be VERY....VERY....surprised
The Cold Steel Peacemaker 3 and 2. Mora killers.
@@AROY413 seen it! I think it'll be awesome for the price
Lucky bastard! I never win shit!!! LOL Congrats! On a serious note, I totally agree about Mora knives. They perform better than most of my other knives which are much more expensive. If you don't want to pay a lot for a bushcraft or camping knife, you just can't go wrong with Morakniv.
I've been carrying a morakniv companion for 2 YEARS!!! as a poor farm hand it's the only knife I've been able to afford that can take on any tasks I need and it's super easy to sharpen once you get the hang of it
What method do you use for sharpening?
@@ArmandoRodriguez-pu6pr he's poor so he probably can't afford a wet stone so maybe he uses a brick
Hey I’m gonna shout out the hultafors GK for you since these moras are going up in price, the GK can take an even more substantial ass whooping, a whole 3 or 4 cans worth if you ask me. And it’s still under $15. It LOOKS like a farm knife. The kind that’s just laying on the table in the horse barn where the hands set it down and forget it every evening.
When the world seems to shine like you’ve had too much wine, that’s a mora!
I own the mora basic, companion carbon, eldris, and my favorite the mora garberg carbon. Why do I need to buy the pathfinder? Because I have an addiction.
I love my carbon steel Garnett and I just ordered a Kansbol in orange for all round but mainly food preps for day hiking. I couldn’t help myself 😂
Is carbon better than stainless for bushcraft?
@@Gunthusiest for edge retention the carbon rules is the obvious choice, there's also the weight that comes with it; however, if you want an edge that's *almost* as good, doesn't rust, and is lighter overall, go with the stainless version.
Dude get the chisel it's awesome
Same here
The "k" is hard in kniv in Swedish.
Good show!
This. And it's more like moo-ra, not more-a.
@@Trukkerkeps It's levi-OH-sa, not levi-oh-SA!
@@_WillCAD_ huh, that's weird. My buddy here said Will is pronounced more like 'dill'. I kept pronouncing it smartass.
@Rhetorical Answer in kniv, yes, but in words like kikare or kemi, it's a tj-sound
Moorah-kenieve
I just like to say a massive hart felt thank you guys. Put the blue I became real sick a while back and had to spend some time in hospital. When I came out I discovered your fantastic channel and it really lifted my spirit and had me smiling again. It will be some time before I’m back to being my old self but you guys have helped me so much so thank you for that.
New Morakniv fan here. Started my fascination with this brand with a Kansbol in army green. I love how almost every one of their outdoor knives feature a flat spine for use with a firestarter too!
Buy Moras for all your friends that don't have knives! Perfect gift!!
Recently replaced joist, due to lack of maintenance of roofing, in a ca. 100-year-old building in central Sweden and found a morakniv tucked in under the floorboards. Proabably left by a person rising the building. Still in good conditition after a light refurbish, however no sheath. Works great, keeps the sharpness and delivers on what - imo - could be the Swedish motto: "Understated performance".
Just found this channel after recently enjoying wood carving and bushcraft. This is brilliant! I think i've smashed through about 30 videos without moving from my seat. New favourite channel right here!
Best intro music ever
Don't encourage him.
... anyone got the lyrics?
After do da do da da do...I lose a bit in translation.
I remember my first beer
I have carried a Companion HD for about 5 years now and absolutely love it!
I love this video! I love knives and bushcraft but don’t have a high budget, so Mora allows me to own several quality knives and even a few that I can practice sharpening on (with DBK videos guiding me, of course). Thanks for yet another quality video DBK boys!
It’s amazing checking in on you lads and seeing how far you’ve come. How many years have you been at it for now? You’ve sure got a lot of knives to show for it! Cheers gents, never stop this goofy yet truly informative knife channel
MORA KANSBOL REVIEW FINALLY!! YES thank you boys!
Me: oh I better do my laundry, take my dog for a walk etc.
DBK: releases video
Me: mUsT WAtCh dBk!!!
You two genuinely make me laugh and keep me entertained.
I watched the whole video with a mora bushcraft black in my right hand.
That is the way!
Y’all finally came on my recommended again! UA-cam algorithm learning my needs.
Every time I watch this channel it ''cracks me up'' how these two came up with the brilliant idea to start a UA-cam channel called Dutch Bushcraft Knifes. I meant the Netherlands is a very restrictive if it comes to knife laws and in this overpopulated country there is hardly any bush left........But, guys please keep up the good work as we all quite enjoy watching two silly Dutch kids playing around with knifes.
I own my first Mora, the Mora Companion S, then my treasured Mora Garberg S and the knife I always have in my bag, the Mora Bushcraft Black. I love Morakniv!
I'll add 3 Morakniv products that probably don't get talked about here much:
The Mora floating knife with fully serrated blade: I keep it on my boat. The fully serrated blade is great for straps and rope. The round tip keeps me from puncturing things, it's hi-visibility orange, and it'll float if I drop it in the lake.
Mora woodsplitting knife: I bought it to de-bark a cedar log I was refinishing. It worked very well.
Mora Pro Chisel: OK, maybe not really a knife, but it's a very nice, sharp, well-made, handy wood chisel.
I also keep a Mora basic in stainless and bright orange for assorted yard/garden/household chores, and I have a Mora robust for hiking, hunting, etc.
I don't have the Garberg, but up to now, my favorite Mora is the Companion HD Carbon with patina finish. Looks badass, scary sharp in a minute, thicc af... I gift a basic stainless companion to most people I hike in wood with, each have their personal color. Best basic knife, best gift for people you really care about.
I bought my first Mora 3 weeks ago. A 511 basic... I tried to do a patina and overdid it... But it's still a beautiful knife. I loved it and I'm already thinking about my second
I LOVE my little Eldris, it's so tiny and fits in any pocket, yet so versatile and capable!
Until I got and used one, I was dismissive of the tiny Eldris. Now I am a believer! Eldris is good for 90% of what I use knives for.
@@jasonswiatkowski9127 Yeah exactly, it's great!
I have an Eldris and a Kansbol, which is super combination. I even use them in the kitchen.
I bought 4 Mora basic 546 knives for the kitchen was better than paying for kitchen knives that were more expensive but not as good
Great video. Getting my first knife from Mura tommorow, the companion spark.
There is nice place just out if my small town that is great for a walk and making a fire. Will try it out as soon as I have time.
The reviews give me positive hope for this knife. Will also make a review in the future after trying it out for a few things.
My favorite is the bushcraft black by far! Great video!
Just got the Companion Spark. Light weight, super sharp, and fire stick included of course. Love it!
Mora Robust! You guys made me love it! I still use it daily
My father gave me a Moraknil knife and a fire steel as a gift and now I am here.
I bought a mora just because my last name is mora ... it's actually an awesome knife ... I've collected a few knifes but this is becoming my favorite one
Morakniv is my favorite knives brand, I love the quality/price and my first knive of Morakniv was purchased in 2017 and I don't regret.
wish I could recall the moment I first saw you guys :)) years have passed...years and knives :) THANK YOU AND STAY SAFE
I have many knives, but always use my Mora companion. Love it
The Mora knives are one of the top knives that i see a lot of bushcrafting i see having and i like to try them all but i like to try the neck knife it's small and i like to try the pathfinder it's just big anough for the task that that it's made for and guy's thanks for the video's you put out and keep cool and ✌ guy's
Absolutely perfect for scouts along with a small Swiss knife!
Good combo!
I just received my first Mora Garberg... This knife is EPIC !!! Build quality is superior. The one thing I really like about this knife that no other knife has is that it has a short drop at the point allowing this knife to be extra strong. Other knife makers tend to make a false blade on top in taper it an inch back. This knife does not. The taper is less than 5 mm, which gives the knife a whole lot of strength up front. For 70 bucks this is the best knife there is...
I’ve had the same garberg since the marine corps over 7 years now. Best all around knife I’ve ever owned.
This has by far been my favorite intro 🤣
I absolutely love my bushcraft a lot!! Also 511 is a great slicer
Keep up the great vids! Also wondering if you guys were interested in reviewing the Aurora 3?
Love the video!
I have kansbol, Eldris, craftline basic 511, craftline pro s, 749, classic no1, mora hook knife, and probably 10 companions both regular and HD. I have a tricked out companion HD that was filed spine for fero and a hot vinegar patina, the sheath is wrapped in bank line and has A fishing hook, line, water purification tablets, and a Band-Aid stuck in it.
I really like the Kansbol, but i wish it came in more colour options.
My ideal mora would be kansbol blade but in carbon steel with the full tang like in the garberg
after watching you video about the robust I bought one. I love it.
This is a great video my friends
Well, my favourite Moras , and in my posession: Eldris ( as a real. EDC) Garberg just good and versatile) and the hook-knife for spooncarving and soon to make my first Kuksa...
What's the best mora knife to start with or the only one you would need?
I like your short insights.
Love my Mora knives. I usually go out with the Companion & sheathe clipped with that part on the back to another more knife like the Bushcraft.
Sitting on a mountain doing some carving with a Classic Nr 2F and an Eldris as I rewatch this! ❤️
The intro was more than enough for me to subscribe!!!!
I carry my mora 510 as neck knive in a handmade kydex and i love it!
Great video fellas
Cool video as always guys.Gota love mora.best wood carving knives for the money! Just perfect for the job. Cheers for the vids.
I just got my second Mora for Christmas. I haven’t used it yet but I know I will. It is my second Mora so far. My first was a light my fire but I seem to have lost it 😟.
Love Morakniv but what should you do if you get a Malanika puukko stuck in the "jeli-O"??
my first proper bushcraft knife i purchased was a mora on your guys recommendation and its help up amazingly, and i actually found some vintage mora knives at a country market the other day like 3 or 4 from the 50's or 60's and a finnish normark, so thanks xD
Wow cool!!
Best video ever👍
Best knives ever👍
Greetings from Germany
Chris
Love the music Mike 👍🏻
Dead Kennedy’s “Holiday in Cambodia”.
I’ve had my stainless Mora Garberg Stainless 4 months used daily, and have not needed sharpening yet, just a light strop from time to time.
I bought it on your recommendation. Thanks.
I have a Mora, but can't find it. I think it's in one of my packs but am not sure
You guys should do a full review on the Mora Kansbol !!!
Holy shit! That sounded just like me singing along to your opening.
When I first got into knives I used to look at Moras like they were less than and for people that don't care about quality, but after seeing so many positive reviews I decided to ask one of my friends to bring me his so I could see first hand what the fuss was about. After holding one in my hand I decided to give them a try so I ordered a Mora companion. Best decision I ever took since I've been collecting knives. I since got a robust (which I absolutely love), another companion that I have on my logging tool belt and I'm constantly thinking about excuses to buy another.
@joe Recto I agree 100%. Mora knives are one of the few items I own that are cheap in price, but high in quality. I still can't believe how good those knives are for the price, it's a blessing.
@joe Recto That's true! I've had knives that were way more expensive arrive to me less sharp than my Moras. In fact, my Mora Robust is the sharpest blade I own.
Not really knife related, but what are those evergreen bushes at 1:27 called? Thanks!
These knives are perfect for playing in the backyard.
Please Make a Video about the,,sacki messer'' ITS a bloody amazing German knife
I have the mora bushcraft and it is awesome and can do anything
I carry a Morakniv Stainless Companion and an Eldris. Thought about the Garberg, but would you guys (or anyone else) recommend the Stainless? Would use it in both wet and dry environments, but I’m careful with my knives.
Does anyone please know the Song of the outro when they discuss on the table for their conclusion?
I have both Moras and Hultafors, but these are also Swedish-brand and in the same price range, so 'Mora type' as it were. Both are excellent. One out of every two Swedish construction/forestry workers carries a Mora, the other one a Hultafors. I grab a Mora HD every time I step out into the yard as there is almost always something to cut. We have Moras everywhere we might need to grab a knife: garage workshop, garden shed, root cellar, every vehicle...
There is always a model for a specific need - for instance, the one used in the vegetable garden is stainless steel and has a pure hard plastic handle, no rubber so it's not a disaster if we forget to bring it back to the shed and it gets wet in the rain.
One advantage of such very affordable knives is that you can adapt them - if you ruin a basic Mora or a Companion, at worst you lose up to about 15 euros/dollars, and unless you break it, even if you roughed up the blade a bit too much it still works as a tool.
We all know this or we would not be watching DBK videos. ;-)
I must ask again: what's the song at 6:30 ? that outro music when you guys sit there.
I got them for my kids. They make awesome knives for the price point.
I really like the Eldris for firemaking. I just bring my saw and that knife for dayhikes. Bought in the town of Mora and the Mora shop ;)
Mora Clasic with a red painted Birch handle is just amazing. Used for 50 years.
I've been hiking and backpacking for years and when I hit the woods I almost always have a Mora with me (or 2or 3.) LIke you say, based on performance and price they are the best and I agree with your favorite, the Companion. I like it's sister model, the 840 Clipper. When do we get to see the DBK duo do a 3 day survival challenge?
Where's the link to the video of touring the Mora Factory? You said link would be in Description.
You two are the best
My fav Mora is the simple Craftline Robust. I really want a Garburg though. I’ve got most of the others. I’m pondering getting the stainless Craftlines for steak knives in the kitchen. Morakniv!
Watching this couse I just bought the Mora classic in Mora at the factory! Ist freakin awesome ❤
tof ding en met houten handvat. Daar hou k van
Been waiting for the price to drop for a Garberg....so settled for a Pathfinder for now. I do have other Mora knives and use them on camping trips. Great all around blades. Now just waiting for the forset to re-open.
I love Mora , i finally love Mora .
Thank you for a great video!
Morakniv has always been good bang for the buck the cheapest ones last years ive made mine scandivex and always its the knife i lend away since its so cheap.
Great video boys 👍
I must have a dozen by now. Does any one else add a bit of convex to the skandi to help the edge from rolling?
I've had looong hardwood carving sessions with the clipper and the Eric frost i think it was mora knives. They didn't need resharpening. We're absolutely spoiled when it comes to steel nowadays. You can buy a knife you would have got killed over 100 years ago for the price of a sandwich. Individually speaking we have steels much greater than we will ever need. We should be mora grateful. Long live steel.
My fav is the bushcraft black I own many including the Garberg
You forgot the mora bushcraft black ... good vid .. cheers Chris & Sam
First time to the channel but I have to say wonderfully done American country narrator accent.
I thought this was a new music vid, loved it, oh the knives were cool to
Try the Moraknive chiesel!!!! I know that is not a bushcraft knive, bur its form is crazy, and i think that can clearly compete with a bushcraft one. Your videos are awesome!! Greetings from Patagonia Argentina
They can all do all the tasks?Time to baton with the Mora Eldris.
Also, Mora 120 for me. Wood carving is already a pleasure to begin with, carving with the 120 is just bliss.
GREAT VIDEO!!!!
I ordered mora companion spark knife, i can't wait to have it
Great video!!
The gate in between the two shrubs is cool
Can you guys review some more Schrade knives please! Maybe some of their everyday carry like the 42 or the 56L.
