I love this about TTYD, but it goes for a lot of JRPGs too. I love when they let you play with customization so much that you can take normally tricky bosses down in less than 30 seconds

I hope the 2024 remake makes this game even easier. And by that, I mean nerfing up the enemies and bosses.
Good video, but I still don't think the texts are on screen for long enough, and I'm a pretty fast reader. Just like, an extra 2 seconds would go a long way lol

2:20 I actually did this once as a kid. I was not very bright with my strategizing, I was just out of FP and wanted more, I didn't think about the fact that it would leave me with 0 HP until it was too late. This was early in my first playthrough too, iirc one of many attempts at the Hooktail fight which was actually a big struggle for me then since I never realized the Attack FX badge was Hooktail's weakness.
I don't know what you're referring to. Clock Out isn't available for Hooktail, but that's what the timestamp sends to.

As a non native english speaker I had a hard time reading the explanations half of the time.

As a foreigner that also translates, I agree. Text speed was still bad on some places and a bit of punctuation error ("...target the front character, too so...") I recommend reviewing the video beginning to end, and read the subtitles or ask someone to read them at what you'd consider a reasonable read speed.
We love broken games tho, if a game was perfect it'd probably be hella boring XD

TTYD favors attacks that hit multiple times when attack is increased. You do a lot more damage with moves like Multibonk and Ground Pound, and Rally Wink even allows Mario to act twice in one turn which is insane as Mario can do everything his partners can do, but better.
...this was said earlier in the video, but that's probably on me for not giving enough time to read it.

Not as far as the game is concerned. 0 can be increased to 1, but non-damaging just flat out cannot damage.

Really wish you sped things up here. Just takes entirely too long between each segment. Perhaps a re-upload but with a faster pace?
