Thank you for not skipping the struggle of removing the lid.
Literally one of the best DIY fix videos I've ever watched. Thank you man for saving me some money from calling a repairman.
Thanks glad to hear! 👏👏👏
6 years later, still useful. Thanks man
😊awesome
Thank you! my filter was filled with gunk, coins, and misc things that should not have been in there! Whirlpool should make the filter accessible and instruct consumers to check it regularly. Anyway, thanks for teaching me something new.
You're amazing-my husband, not a handyman is an understatement just repaired the drainage. He pulled out underwear and money from the drain! Crazy! Thank you! We're back in business
Awesome! 👏👏👏
Bonus Tip: If you think the drain line might be plugged somewhere, save yourself some time and check ALL of the spots where it may plug before putting everything back together.
Bonus Bonus Tip: If the discharge of the pump isn't blocked, check the entirety of the suction line, including the lint trap, the ball valve on the outlet of the exterior washer drum, AND the wash drum outlet itself. After 3 days of trying to diagnose my washer's inability to drain, I found some socks somehow stuck between the interior and exterior drums, plugging up the whole works. Have no idea how they got there, but there they were.
Thanks for your videos! It's always nice to see that there are people in the world who still like to fix things on their own and teach others to do so!
Thanks so much for this!
Mine wasn't so bad but the washer had been stinky so I decided to go for it. I tried the plastic bag but that didn't work so well. You know water is going to come out - so the designers could have done a better job with that part! I ended up tipping the unit back and putting some 1 x 2 boards under the front in order to raise it. Then I was able to get a cookie sheet under it. The rest was easy. Thanks for the video! It was funny and informative!
Subscribed! Repairing one's own appliances is so rewarding. A pain in the butt, yet rewarding...
Hysterical AND informative. "See ya on the flip side" Rocco!
Thanks Man! This was the most straightforward video for this problem! The bag worked like aces for draining too.
Thanks man you saved the day! Thought that I may have to pull the unit out and instead it was fixed in 20 minutes.
Great video, very entertaining. The bag trick worked well

I had to laugh when your daughter walked by with the same tutu my daughter has. I then laughed some more when I found my daughters sock after removing that cap. I guess the wash really does eat socks. Thanks for the quick and easy video. My wife was ready to go to the appliance store

Thank you for about few minutes ago! Cleaning the washing machine is tough! So, I still use a vertical(?) washing machine.
Awesome handy work! I subbed your channel... thanks for stopping by 💕😇
Many thanks for posting this! Got a good laugh, too! Yes, my trap smelled like yours, only it came with a child's sock and a bra pad. 🤣 No idea how they worked their way in there. Your video sure helped, 👍🏼 though!
Funny! Kids can get things into anything. I once found sock in the VCR (remember those) mechanism; and a penny in the TV speaker grill (I wondered why the sound was "buzzing"!)
I hope you got that fixed those cost.

What size tool did you use to get the screws out!?
Trying to find this out too...
@@heidibertels I just grabbed several tools until I found one that fit 😂
@@ashleyc.8378 I figured out it's a 1/4 size, in case others are wondering.
Eeww. We have to open our stand pipe a few years back because our sink stopped draining. Never fun to deal with the smell 😏
