This didn't work for me but I was able to find an alternative! I took out the chromecast and replaced it with my HDMI (as there were no "stream" options, only "Connect device"). Replacing the Chromecast with my HDMi now shows my laptop. Thank you!!

Appreciate the video... I normally unplug the box... However it can be difficult especially when it's wall mounted. However I just noticed the HDMI direct connect option at this brand new Marriott I'm at. So I searched on here and came across your video. When I did it however with my Xbox One I noticed the menu looked all grainy and 480Pish. I decided to sneak my hand back there and unplug the box and plug Xbox directly into HDMI port1 on the TV, to see if there was a difference in quality. This is a brand new 55 inch tv on the wall. Picture now looks incredible plugged in directly to tv. Curious if this would be just an issue for this particular box or a nationwide thing
I have found out in other Marriott hotels the remote controls the box behind the tv, not the actual tv itself. I’ve not been able to find the HDMI inputs on the box on the wall mounted TVs and I never thought to look on top of it. I guess you have to reach over the top of the tv and then back down to get to them? This will help immensely in trying to subject my friends to play Mario Party with me.
If you plugged it directly into the tv and not the control box in the back you will have that problem. The remote only controls that control box. Not the tv itself. In that case, pray you can find actual physical volume control buttons on the tv itself.
So I did that and my PS4 picture is flickering back and forth between blank screen and game screen. I have lowered the resolution tried all of them. The 480p is the only one working but it hardly stays on the game screen. Also in a Marriott hotel…..any suggestions??
I’m in a Marriott now and I don’t see the stream function on this tv. I plugged my firestick into the box. But the tv options seem to be different from what you have there and it seems dated.
Motel 6 sucks. I tried to hook up my ps3 to the tv in my room and there’s no way to switch to the hdmi input. Chalk this one up to you get what you pay for.
Unfortunately the quality takes a huge dip and there is both audio and controller lag doing this. It’s pretty bad. Wish these hotels stopped limiting just being able to connect to the side hdmi port

My box wasn't directly behind the TV like that but in this wooden square, pretty hard to reach

There's an HDMI port in the wall outlet in here but when I connect to my PS4 is still doesn't doesn't work? - What is that wall outlet for
