UPDATE: I took the leap and purchased one today. Got home cleaned it up etc. 150 rounds later not a single hiccup. It exceeded my expectations honestly. It feels and looks very nice, especially for the price! I highly recommend getting one.
@@paulcarlin5181 ~~~ Very well. Put about 150+ down range, mixed weights and FMJs & hollow points. No malfunctions, all cycled perfectly, slide locked back, and it’s pretty accurate.
Honestly I have no experience with the Stoeger, but will definitely look into doing a comparison of both…. Thanks for watching and commenting, appreciate it ✅
I bought a stoger str9 back in May of last year. I've put about 350 rounds or so through it. It is a very reliable gun. Shot with no worries or hiccups. Also I've used different range ammo and noticed it made a difference. Unfortunately with the stoger there is not alot of holster options. But in terms of reliability it is a very good gun.
Smith and Wesson are generally super reliable... SD line is just the value play from them... The M&P line is the most reliable firearms on the planet... At least if you watch Garand Thumbs frozen pistol test and muddy pistol test... It's the only firearm to pass both and did so well in the muddy pistol test that it is amazing.
@pizzalord3658 Based on my understanding, it’s a very reliable pistol. I just didn’t like the trigger on the SD9-VE… Thanks for watching and your comment, much appreciated
@johnlacasse8893 Absolutely agree, especially with their proven track record. I have owned many with zero issues at all. My backup/pocket carry is the smith CSX, which I feel is very underrated! My only concern was quality to go along with the price tag, but they are trying to compete with budget handguns like taurus. That being said I'd take the smith budget option ove other brands out there.
You think they would try and do everything right to sell this gun but one mag. Is just silly 🤔😳 that’s enough to keep me from buying it and get the Taurus with 3 mag’s🙌
Why does a lot of people say that UA-cam don't like disassembly of firearms and their videos? I have a few videos I made going back even over a couple years disassembling firearms, and I've never once gotten any warnings or anything from UA-cam.
@@2ruetv yeah I've heard a lot of other gun tube channels say this is well, but at the same time I've seen huge gun tube channels that are monetized do breakdown of firearms in thier videos so I'm not sure what to believe. But there's definitely nothing wrong with being on the safe side:-)
@@brucecook502 that’s the way to be, because UA-cam is very funny… I’ve seen other channels do the breakdowns and are still going, but maybe if I try I might get penalized 🤣

@pizzalord3658 Nice….. It’s a very nice pistol, and like you said for the price; it’s awesome….
Thus it comes with case and extra mags?
I just picked mine up yesterday and taking her to the range today
How did it go? Looking like I will get this this weekend.

I subscribed, I have the sd40ve I will be purchasing this sd9 2.0 next. Great review.
@@FlyDre-g9h Thanks for watching and subscribing, I appreciate it 💯… You won’t regret purchasing when you do, it’s smooth and accurate ✅
Excellent thank you
You’re welcome, thanks for watching… Much appreciated 🙏🏽
Looks to be good upgrades. Good looking pistol.
It definitely is, and those upgrades are what got my attention ✅
Extra mags available on Gun Broker...
Thank you, I appreciate that🙏🏽
Does anybody know if they take gen1 mags?
If you mean the mag from the SD9-VE, yes it does. They use the same mags
How does this stack up against the Stoeger, for instance? A good comparison?

@@domenicmuto4738 thank you
@@domenicmuto4738 I’ve never shot the stoeger, but planning on getting one for my collection
@@2ruetv it is a larger handgun. But it is accurate and fun to shoot. I do love my stoeger
For $258 couldn't say no. Adding it to the collection. Purchased a Night Fision Tritium Yellow front sight.
Definitely can’t go wrong with that man
I would like to see someone test a S&W SD40 2.0
I really want one for a "get home" gun. I'm just concerned about reliability. Great looking gun for the price though, and nice upgrades!

Dude, I would get this with no issues. I conceal carry a GX4, have the G17 for my home defense and plan on getting this for the glove box.
Perfect
👍✅
Trigger pull?
You know they could have come up more with that grip texture said a little smooth sides That's just my opinion
I agree with you on that 100%
Bs it only comes with 1 magazine 🤔
Yea that’s the downer right there 🤷♂️

@@edwardabrams4972 They really should have sent two mags, because the sd9 ve comes with two. I agree with you 💯
Its like SW is passing the cost of the trigger upgrade on to the customer by way of removing the 2nd magazine. They just wrong .

They should've added an optic cutout
I definitely agree with you on that, and that would be a big seller for them….
More cost for optics cut hopefully they make it a option
@@mchlcordell hopefully they do, like the m&p 2.0
From what I'm hearing it's not on the roster for California..
It is in California, but it’s got the magazine disconnect feature installed….
