Hey, just wanted to say I identify SO MUCH with the "overwhelmed" feeling you are describing. I spent about 8 years of my life feeling that way. My life has just transitioned out of that into a more restful phase, which is a huge blessing, but I still vividly remember how exhausting it is to be surrounded with things you CAN'T say no to. Sending you a hug and praying for you! This too shall pass....eventually. Preferably, for you, sooner than 8 years. :)

Thanks for being real Sarah. I have been feeling very overwhelmed with my workload for the past few months and leaning on Jesus is the only thing getting me through. I hold onto the scripture Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God." While I can't see when the workload will end, God knows and he is in control.

Thank you for sharing! I definitely will pray for you. I know what crying from stress is like so so much... though it does help to cry. (My mom always says that’s the outlet that God gave us women. 😄 it definitely feels like it most of the time.) stay safe and well! Colossians 3:15-17 (ESV)
“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

I struggled with what I thought was severe acne for years without realizing that I'd destroyed my skin barrier and the eczema that I struggle with on the rest of my body had shown up as blisters on my face. I've been working on developing a better skin care routine but it's rough because my skin is so fragile now that almost everything causes irritation, I have to use very gentle products and be very gentle with my skin. I would strongly suggest going to Susan Yara's channel, Mixed Makeup and looking at her videos on how different skin conditions can show up and how to care for your skin when dealing with those issues. You may actually be dealing with a damaged skin barrier which allows bacteria to enter the skin easily and causes those deep, painful and hormonal feeling blisters to show up. Please start using a gentle, fragrance free lotion with no essential oils, aloe vera can be irritating and drying to the skin and can actually cause the breakouts to get worse deep down, making them last longer and crop up more often.

Testimony time!! I'm on the heavier side, and I've been told my whole life (since I was a little kid) that I'm fat BUT at least I've got a pretty face. My mom really passed this insecurity on to me as well. WELL, I started birth control pills at 15 to control teenage acne, did loads of treatment for acne scars to have that "pretty" face again. At 25 I left the pill because of constant migraines, and guess what? ACNE. Lots of it. It was heartbreaking to lose my "pretty face" shield. BUT through that very painful process, God taught me I'm MORE than a pretty face, I am HIS! I still struggle and honestly hate acne, and thank God it's improved through the years, but yea, God turned it for GOOD once more. I love how He does that :)

I'm so sorry you had to deal with that! But you're right! As pain and embarrassing as acne is, we are more than our faces! Our hearts and how we treat people speak volumes.
On a hopeful note, I've read that post-pill acne can start clearing up about 6 months after. It can take that long for your body to start ovulating again and regulate the hormones (look up hormone support). I hope you see some improvement! I've found I've had to take a multi-pronged approach to heal the deeper health issues. Once those start resolving, then the symptoms (acne, etc) start healing up. All the best!

Beyond that I just don't stress about it anymore. It happens! Life is way too fleeting to get upset over it for years and years, and I wish I'd known that at your age. Have you ever tried aha & bha acids on your skin ? I too have skin struggles, texture, little bumps ect.. I have tried the gentle approach but a lot of times it’s just skin needing to be exfoliated more frequently. Acids can gently help even though “acid” sounds harsh - it gets so much dirt & oil out that we can’t with a face brush or washcloth. Glycolic acid & salicylic acid is the only thing that helps for me and I’ve tried a lot including prescription creams. I use 2% sal solution daily. 14% glycolic serum nightly. Moisturizer on top. Mineral zinc Sunscreen (which helps redness too) during the day. I’m not a dr but this has worked after a lot of things haven’t! I don’t wear makeup now! God bless!

Just curious because I'm not sure I heard you ever discuss it, but have you ever visited a dermatologist? Overwhelm and burnout is so prevalent with busy moms. I highly recommend Allie Casazza's podcast The Purpose Show (and her blog) for amazing advice for how to minimize your schedule and how to lighten your load. Someone else mentioned a cleaner....I think delegating tasks like that is a must for a work-from-home mama. There should be no guilt in delegating tasks so that you can give your energy to the things that really matter to you. You don't have to do it all! 😘

Are they just playing with themselves in another room? Don't you feel the need to check on them if they are okay or something like that?

I'm so sorry about your painful acne - I've mentioned this before but you really need to speak to your Dr about Roaccutane. Yes it's a strong medication but it works!
I'm also sorry to see you still denying yourself food that you like because of the continuing nonsense about needing to 'cleanse' your Liver - please stop doing this, it's clearly a psychological problem as it wouldn't give you 'tummy pain' nor would it cause your skin problem. There's also the danger you could pass this eating disorder onto your kids especially the girls.

Your are beautiful, and acne is horrible. Even more so when it doesnt stay in your teen years. I've always been sensitive to preservatives(found in anything!) and recently switched to a diy body butter(I played w/ butters & oils that worked w/ my skin type) and after a detox period I have mostly clear skin. I'm still blown away.

Also, taking a whole day to just be at peace and chilling is wonderful, I usually take Sundays as a day off. I wish you the best.

I feel like you need a vacation. Gateway with your husband. Just you two, no kids. Not for long, but 3 days. I know what you’re going through. That really helps ♥️
I used to wear shorts because even if I used razor in that bikini area I would still feel uncomfortable due to my hair being dark. I invested in laser hair removal 😅 I’ve always been so insecure but I remember my mom saying one thing. You are young. There are some things that you won’t be able to wear in 10 years. Since then I’ve been pushing myself a little bit out of my comfort zone and I’m happier person :)

Hey Sarah! Thank you for your authenticity in sharing your life. I’d really encourage you guys to look into practicing a weekly Sabbath; there’s a great podcast series by John Mark Comer & Jeff Bethke called “Fight Hustle, End Hurry” (seriously life changing, and I don’t say that lightly!) and their episode on Sabbath is a great place to get started.
I was super skeptical about it at first, but I decided to experiment and practice it for a few weeks, and it’s been SO helpful and life-giving for me (especially working from home/in the digital space, where there’s not clear boundaries between work & rest). It’s a way to realign my heart to God, delight in Him, surrender to His rhythm, and it’s from that place of being centered in Him that I’ve begun to experience that sense of “my yoke is light and easy to bear.”
    Much love! 💛

I've had rosacea all of my adult life. Last year I went on an elimination diet. Long story, short... after I eliminated chocolate from my diet for 30 days my skin completely cleared up! It was hard at first but now I'm over my chocolate cravings. Now I use Carob instead and have really grown to like it. And I love not having rosacea anymore. So giving up chocolate was a small price to pay.

These are the items i own to swim in...
    1. A bikini top, not a triangle kind, it looks like a cute bralette, straight across the top, covers up the C size girls. But i can wear this if i feel comfortable showing some skin.
    2. A Rash Guard Shirt, in case i just wanna cover up my top half more.
    3. A tankini top, it looks like i have a bikini top under a loose fitted tank that ties up in the back. Super cute if i wanna cover up more.
    4. Wet suit pants, high waisted. I HATE cold water. So i wear these if the water is too cold. Then i dont have to slowly go in while suffering, i go in fast and stay warmer. I wear them in indoor and outdoor pools, and natural bodies of water.(i also dont have to worry about shaving if i wear these.)
    5. Swim shorts. They have built in bikini bottoms. The shorts themselves cover my WHOLE butt, no booty short crap lol. I wear these if the water is warm enough and i feel ok with showing my legs.
    6. Swim capris. They go down to right below my knee. And are high waisted. I wear them if i wanna cover up some but dont need to be warm.(also i dont have to shave my whole legs lol)
    7. Wet suit jacket. A long sleeve, front zip, swimming wet suit top. I wear these with the pants if im REALLY cold or if the water is a cold lake or river...around here rivers and lakes are mostly colder even in summer. But with this i HARDLY feel the cold.
    8. Swim shoes. I almost always wear them. I sometimes dont in pools...but i like that i have grip when im walking. And it helps my feet stay a bit warmer.
When i was younger i was ALL ABOUT BIKINIS...and showing off my body.
HOWEVER i ALWAYS felt slightly uncomfortable.
Ive NEVER liked showing off my booty.
And i hated being worried i might flash people my body parts.(and its happened a few times)
SOOO...as i got older, about age 23 i started buying swim shorts.
Then after i had my son i wanted to cover up more.
So i would wear whole pieces with shorts.
Or a tank top and swim shorts over my bikini.
THEN i found all the stuff listed above and ill NEVER go back to a bikini again.
WHY I LIKE BEING MORE COVERED WHILE SWIMMING:
.To be a bit more modest around children, elderly and men.
.To set a good example for other girls that its OKAY to cover up, and for boys to show girls DONT HAVE TO show their bodies and that we arent just a sexual object.
.To be able to feel safe while i am playing with my son in the water or at the beach, or while im swimming...so i dont flash people my "private parts". Cause i just wanna have fun, not making sure im all covered every few minutes.
.I just feel weird being 90% naked in public while being a mama and having my son right there.
.So i feel comfortable being in a bathing suit around my family...i always felt odd in a bikini around my male family members...like i should be covered up. I wouldnt let them see my in my bra and undies...and a bikini is the same or worse even.
.So i dont feel self conscious about the parts of my body i dont feel so great about...like my booty with cellulite, my long skinny legs big knees and knee stretch marks, my super awkwardly long stomach and my big scar on it from cancer when i was a kid, my breasts that sag a bit from feeding my son and have some stretch marks on the sides.
I would much rather have some or all of it covered so i can focus on having fun instead of stressed about how i look.
.I just dont like bikinis. I truly nvr have. I wore them when i was younger because my friends did and i figured thats what girls did, and i WANTED boys to notice me(i was young okay)...i just feel way to exposed, and i personally think nobody should wear them, but thats just MY opinion, i know MANY other people LOVE bikinis. I feel it just causes problems. YES women should be proud of their bodies and love their bodies. But that doesnt mean we have to walk around naked or almost naked to show people how PROUD we are to be women. And SURE we could say "well Men just shouldnt look then"...its kinda hard to NOT notice a person right in front of you...especially if their breasts or booty are hanging out. I believe covering up more and having some self respect for ur body and proving yourself with your heart and mind as a woman works much btr than showing off ur body.
Looks WILL change as we age, but who u r inside stays the same
BUT THATS JUST MY OPINION AND MY REASONS FOR COVERING UP MORE WHILE SWIMMING!😊😉

Hi Sarah! Been loving your videos lately! So encouraged especially when I see you doing devotionals. :) In regards to skin care... have you heard of Curology? I've been using it for the past 2+ years and my skin used to be SO bad. I mean, it was bad to the point that it affected me emotionally and mentally... Now I rarely get acne... I've considered taking a break from using it just to see if being acne-free could be sustained without using Curology anymore. But of course, I'm kind of nervous about not using it and acne coming back. Anyways, just thought I'd ask if you have any thoughts about that.

I love your channel! I hope you don’t mind me sharing, but I noticed you said in one of your videos you were doing a liver cleanse (I think because you had liver pain?). You may already know this, but daily higher doses of vitamin A can cause liver damage and pain. I had actually looked into the Beef supplements that you mentioned (I know you said you had low vitamin A) but studies show that taking higher does of vit A daily can cause liver pain and damage. Might not be that at all, and I have zero doubt you did all the research, I just thought I would share out of care! Love to you and your beautiful family!

Never underestimate the benefit of a good cry! It can be such a good release of emotion and bring you peace. I know you like to use more natural products, but have you used Benzoyl Peroxide on the acne around your mouth? When I get the deep, cystic pimples it's the only thing that helps. If I use it I can usually see and feel a difference in 24-48hrs. Probiotics are a huge help for fungal acne, as well. It's usually indicative of gut health and possible candida.

I love the ocean and the mountains, none of which I live by but I do live by Lake Huron, a very large beautiful lake and we have many trails surrounding. I live outside a small tourist town, Goderich, Ontario (known as the Prettiest Town in Ontario) so I am very fortunate. We own a small property and love living in the country. Having said this, I have been to B.C. once and to Vancouver Island a few times. I love it. My daughter in law was born on the Island and her parents are still there. So I have people to visit and love seeing the ocean, beautiful large trees and mountains. I am planning on visiting a friend who lives in Alberta, outside Calgary and will again love seeing the mountains. Canada is a beautiful country.
