+Patrick Granie Here I'll help you out a bit. This game has bad graphics, but that doesn't mean it's bad. This game is as fun or even more fun as TF2. Don't complain it was made in May of 1996.
This is actually the team fortress mod, team fortress "1" would technically be TFC because tfc was the first retail-released version of Team Fortress. Although TFC wasn't as popular as valve's other Multiplayer games, those being Counter Strike and Day of Defeat, (remember when day of defeat was more popular than team fortress?)
@@Zhakaron It wasn't a game running on the quake engine, it was a mod for quake, you had to load it through quake, TFC was the retail version that was on a different engine, its like insurgency modern infantry combat and insurgency 2014, one is a mod, and the other is a game.
@@Eyeling that interpretation is indeed valid however not the only interpretation, a retail release does not define a game being a game, nor does being a mod for a game prevent that game from transcending the original experience in becoming something completely different, this is where rigid thinking and adherence to arbitrary definitions causes people to get into heated arguments that mean nothing

BUT, in a time with no hats, I would imagine the gameplay was much, much more difficult than what it is today. also, TF didn't discriminate anyone either...it'd didn't matter what you looked like, or who you are, everyone was there for one reason: kill the living shit out of each other. man, I wished I played this mod back in the day. In a time with no hats, it was wonderful.

(Misspelled on purpose to impersonate a 5-year old) I Liked Mc once (And i still think its not a half-bad game, useful to kill time)and i still knew that its graphics were lazy and crappy for our time...

@@mame9562 well, I am most certainly telling the truth, so thank you :) Feel free to visit my channel for some more of my work!
@@PrimalClarityPro awesome man, thanks for making one of the coolest trailers ever!
@@PrimalClarityPro just wondering though, what's the song used in the trailer?
I hope they make a sequel
Welcome to Quake Fortress.
This is 14 years old and got recommended to me now ? ... Also I saw this on mute and I could hear all the sound effects ....
Soooooo much fun. Back in the days where you'd head down to a local gaming center to play on their T1 connection :) Between this and the first Total Annihilation, we had a blast.
The game looks really cool!
I hope there would be a second installment and be updated regularly!
Holy music is indeed playing because a new era has been born
I'm trying to find the actual song because I believe I'm hearing my native language here.
Man, the memories of playing TF on Mplayer until GameSpy bought them and we had to move to QuakeWorld.
I still had lots of fun with MegaTF on Zap and Biscuit servers =D
IYF-Sanitary and yeah, IYF was a noob clan but we had fun getting smashed by Myth every clan match!
someone should play this masterpiece at a concert
The first time i saw this as a young lad in the early 2010s i was kinda in shock with how weird it was lol.
Its a lot easier to appreciate now knowing the time period and the history behind this mod more
how do people confuse this with tfc?
People think that TFC is the first TF game since it's the one that's from Valve and on Steam.
Because TFC is basically a remake with a new art style
This game has bad graphic... DOESNT MEAN ITS BAD KIDZ... This has 99%Of the fun tf2 has.. don't complain... its 1996 may!
mkay?
Mkay
+Patrick Granie Here I'll help you out a bit. This game has bad graphics, but that doesn't mean it's bad. This game is as fun or even more fun as TF2. Don't complain it was made in May of 1996.
As long as your eyes are fine it's ok but shit that assault them. Now that's bad graphics
This game is nice to look at
0:35 Nothing is stronger than love...except for the Medic. He will kick your ass!
Or with an alternate interpretation, Team Fortress 1 the mod, was the first game running on the Quake Engine and TFC was the Remake for GoldSRC.
TFC feels more like a remake of TF1 in the GoldSrc Engine than a sequel.
Like CS:S was to 1.6.
Nah
Great Grandpa's TF2
Oh my God the memories just poured back xD
so when you kill someone they get gibbed?
damn.
In TFC, if you backstab someone or shoot them with the sniper rifle, sometimes they get gibbed too.
Yeah, i know...
I'm not criticizing that fact (I find it hilarious, actually) i was just pointing it out
I love those graphics! I love the first one!even though it is just a quake mod,I still call this mod the first Team Fortress 1,it still looks great to this day!
This has so many views. Piece of UA-cam history.
its cools if the Characters from TFC And QF Appears as a models for Source Film Maker
Lotus GoldLeaf You want too much from a 90's game.
Domino - Spycron did you actually read the comment? do you have any idea what he said? obviously no he said, let me dim it down for you since what he said was not simple enough. ''it would be nice if tfc and QF appear as models in source film maker. now delete that comment.
It has been 1 year and he didn't delete that comment.
Space Melon
Well, according TF history, they were the very first mercenaries that fight.
@@botmexicanpatriot I really liked that part in the comic, some nice fanservice
Yo when they makin team fortress 2?
Yeah, Valve never makes sequels which has become a joke in the community. (Still waiting for Portal 2, Valve), it's a shame given how popular a sequel would be.
@@Zhakaron
11 years and you're still replying?
Hats off to you my friend.
Happy 29th birthday Team Fortress!!!!!!!🎂
damn I hope they keep updating it or updating the sequel
I'M HERE IN 2024
Me as well. Wish I could play jt.
@@whatareyoulookingat908you can download it free, just need DOS-Box emulator and all
@@Lambda65 Thank you. But I am a total noob and the local computer places don't have gamers who can help. I dont know how to add/work an emulator. But I am VERY glad others can still enjoy this nostalgic game. : )
Nostalgia overload, thank you.
Lets revert back to tf1
Cuando ví esto a mis 6 años pensaba que era un Quake especiál que continuaba la historia y donde ahora Ranger tenía todo un grupo de amigos y heroes con quienes luchaba contra los malos😂
This brings back many good memories.
Its amazing to see this game go up to tf2 and become one of the greatest FPS games ever
Best game 2014.
valve got them to make a sequel not because of the 'quality' but because of the 'concept' he saw potential is this game which lead to the making of team fortress 2 that we all know and love
I hate people who critisize games for bad graphics here is a avrage tf2 or any modern shooter fans review of this and other shooters in the 90s OmG GRAPHIX ARE BAD GAEM IS BAD MUST UPGRADE GRAPHIX
Zaric Zhakaron I know and most shooters are the same anyway which is why i got off the shooter genre
Grafics do actually change the feel of the game
In 1996 these graphics were AMAZING.
in a time with no hats, it was horrible
BUT, in a time with no hats, I would imagine the gameplay was much, much more difficult than what it is today. also, TF didn't discriminate anyone either...it'd didn't matter what you looked like, or who you are, everyone was there for one reason: kill the living shit out of each other. man, I wished I played this mod back in the day. In a time with no hats, it was wonderful.
***** it's a joke
I know, But I'm just saying.
Zaric Zhakaron Maybe valve low on money?
sora102121 I'm pretty sure valve makes tons of money on steam..
man this was the good old day

es una lastima que no lo llegue a jugar en su tiempo se ve increible :c
Lol look at all these Minecraft fanboys complaining about "Bad graphics"
Because they expect a 1996 game to have GTA 5 Graphics...
I mentioned minecraft because that game is made in a time that there were good graphics and Mojang still decided to make them crappy to save money...And then a 5 year old MC kid comes and says:
HURR DURR BAD GRAFICS = POOP GMAE DIS GME SUX BCUS IT HAZ BAD GRUUFIX MEINKAMPRF IS ZUU MACH BETTUR!
(Misspelled on purpose to impersonate a 5-year old)
I Liked Mc once (And i still think its not a half-bad game, useful to kill time)and i still knew that its graphics were lazy and crappy for our time...
ilke kunduraci dipshit, the graphics were intentionally crappy and blocky for gameplay purpose, and these kids are more of a tf2 fan than a minecraft one.
+ilke kunduraci i agree with you that minecrap was a lazy piece of shit work copy and paste to fill little kids pussies. like seriously if its an art form why is there no dynamic shadows in the game? art is displacement of light and dark and minecrap is plain, everything is the same meaning no distinguish in the textures which I laugh at when people say minecrap is art because there is clearly no separation because art has separatives
Reel_Account_Tv
Thank you!
+You're All Dumb
Im pretty sure minecraft was made like that to make it easier to develop. Not for art, I mean minecraft uses such a bad engine that even the best of the best computers can lag really bad. This is not art.If we use the excuse "art" on anything looks bad, there is no real art.
You're All Dumb if someone hands you a painting where all they did was smear shit on their hands with the canvas you have every right to look at it and say that is not art. This person can argue with you saying that his shit fill canvas is too art but the only way to figure which side is right is when it is all gone, when there is no more shit filled canvas then you will see which side was right about the art and Minecrap is way long gone that shit is old ass news now NO ART
This is so beautiful. ❤️ I love this game.
This game was made in 1996,so its why the graphics are so old and outdated, you can stop complaining about them now.
