- Steve Strope and his team at Pure Vision Design create some of the coolest builds around but this might be the most subtle, beautiful build I've ever seen from them. Simple, stunning with a rumbling big block and of course manual transmission so sit back and enjoy the ride...

Steve's transformation into Vince Neil is pretty cool
Thought the hair flips was more Farrah😂
@@markhale8084Farah Fawcett, right?
Dude same! I love it! 😂
wtf?
@@Borderline5440 Yeah her even though Both have tits. lol
Love any video with Steve Strope, not only does he make amazing cars but the dude is hilarious.
hes unique for sure.....
“How come no filters?!
Because you’re filming and it looks better like this”
Love that honesty
3:38
Maybe why she was surging
Steve’s hilarious! And always honest no matter what
Yeah, I love how he hooked this one up. The paint job, the interior, the seats, the sound of that classic OG big block, not too loud. Just a sweet Malibu. An example of a perfect classic Chevy. Just absolutely gorgeous! 👍
Totally agree
When I think of how I would build my dream car, this is what I see. Insanely clean, elegant and tasteful modifications, perfect colors, and brilliant drivetrain and mechanicals. Good lord, this is beautiful.
If I had something that nice, I'd be afraid to drive it. Definitely NOT something I would drive how I drive the stuff I build, like my 65 GTO. It was intended to be a daily driver, this Malibu could be that, but parking lots would be nightmares.
@@SweatyFatGuy Handicap placard...there now theres no excuse.
How could you NOT like this car???? This thing is awesome! This is close to the "perfect" hot rod! What a awesome car!
Steve is such an automotive rockstar! Builds some amazing classic hotrods…even if they are just simple street driving rides.
he reminds me of meatloaf! great build's
Check out his old school bmx collection on his site.
Such a wonderful car. It's one that you can drive 1000 miles and be comfortable. Yet it can also pull like a train and sound like thunder when need be without fuss. I do enjoy these subtle builds very much.
Thank You Shawn for another great video. Little bit short, but always make my Saturday lunch better.
What a Great Build! For most Southern Californians this is THE CAR they want to get into at 10pm or 4am and drive to Vegas in. It looks extremely comfortable for 4 adults and will do 90+ mph all day.
This is a FANTASTIC ERA for Motorsport. Literally, the person with the coin and/or the skill set can build a Classic Muscle Car with a traditional engine config or a modern ECU Controlled Powerplant, a JDM, a stock 5.o, SS or SRT new off the lot or with a few years in then. They can all offer great performance, reliability, looks and safety. There's almost infinite wheels, brakes, intakes/exhausts, tunes, suspension, multimedia entertainment, refrigerators etc etc. Let's enjoy all the cars for what they are 👍😁👍
👍PERFECT. Love the GM Turquoises
Very clean and super nice Malibu 👍👍🤤😎
Very understated & tastefully built Mailbu!
Beautiful car, and the stance is perfect. Good road camera work.
Thanks and totally agree. He nailed this whole build. So simple and clean
What a nice car. My Dad had a 66 sedan and I loved that car. Nice return to the future moment.
Gorgeous car... I love the '66 - '67 Chevelle body style.
I was lucky enough to grow up with a dad that had dozens of old classics and hotrods. A few cars stood out and a 67 Malibu was a body that was top 5 for sure .
What a great car.
Awesomeness! A nice Malibu non SS clone that catches the 70's muscle car vibe with modernized drive line and mods to make it ride nice while keeping the look I love!
Timeless classic that looks great and sounds amazing 👍🏾👊🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What a car… that is what I hope we get more of in the future with classic restorations / modifications
Beautiful ride for sure. I try showing multiple approaches to custom builds in the channel
I met Steve at sema and he was awesome. This man is a legend. His vehicles are so perfect.
Total legend and such a cool guy!
Have this car on again down the road. Like to hear it open up a bit. What an iconic sound
I’d like to hear that too…WOT!
This car is clean ... Theres no other word to describ it... Damnn...
Yep. Simple and clean
The whole package color. Stance. Motor. Etc. So sweet. My kinda car
Yeah. Love the simplicity and beauty of this build
Please keep making more videos with Steve Strope!!! Funny guy and his builds are amazing!!! It never gets old!!!👍 0:48
Such a clean car. 17 in wheels were the rage back in the day! Still looks right today.
Timeless look on this build. It’ll never age
@@AutotopiaLA
Sometimes it's the small changes that are all that is needed.
Saw the thumbnail and fell in love instantly! 💙💙💙
I'd be more satisfied making a purchase like this from a shop that says there will be a few shakedown kinks to work out vs someone saying it's gonna be perfect right away. Do it right the 1st time for sure. The builder, I'm sure, communicates that to the buyer before a deal is even made to build. Quality takes time.
Shakedown is always the final 10%
you want the best you got the best ,say hello to Steve Strope ,inspirational, thankyou Sean for having the most amazing vision maker on your channel ,thankyou ,much love respect from Australia
Absolutely beautiful.....the way they should be done. Love Webers.....ran 'em on a Chevy also......fantastic carbs.
Such a cool simple build. Minor shakedown and it’s a daily driver
Nice clean build! Big block and Flowmasters👌🏼
Perfection right here! Steve has done a fantastic job on this Chevelle and very much to my liking, in my eyes this is perfect in every way a shame more builders don’t go down his path also love the sedate way Steve drove, showing as he said respect for this lovely car👌
Becoming acquainted with some of these Owners / Builders on this channel is just as intriguing as the builds themselves.
Thanks for saying that. Part of our intent in making them
Steve and his team do great work, absolutely love this one.
They sure do! Love Steve and Pure Visions builds
Steve Strope is the man!!! One of my all time favorite builders who have allwas had taste and vision to build something different with taste ! Absolute spot on!!!
Got a killer early BMX collection on his site, too.
What a great car. And having Strope on camera is always a treat 😅
the itbs made me firm in the neither regions........what an awesome ride no goofiness,no ugly rims,no mini tubbing,no ls,no blackout just a sweet, perfect ride
A stunning piece of art, so tasteful, so elegant, so right. I just don't have the words.
There's beauty in simplicity🏆🏆🏆
The color and the fact its not an SS is the coolest part to me. Beautiful workmanship.
Color is amazing!! Cannot stand the overdone fake SS thing...my 67 El had those badges all over it back in the 90s when I bought it. Ugh..
I always love it when they film builds like this where it’s just a well executed cruiser and much more realistic for this audience. Amazing!
We try mixing it up but this car is pure beauty for me
Perfect cruiser, I could drive this car all day.
Me too!
Darn it, I grew up seeing this era of cars. Now I want to go back in time so I can build up more cars. And my dad went to Van Nuys high.....in 1940.
Whenever I see a Steve Strope video I go straight to it- he's such a looper. You two seem to get on great, it makes a difference. And that is true- anyone who says there isn't a shakedown period is lying.
Steve and I have become close friends the past 10 years. Glad to know him and it’s always a joy hanging out with him
Amen to this!! Most dont know about it...they buy an all new looking resto and expect it to be OEM perfect.
This is my very favorite Year , Model , & Color of all Chevy's . What a dreamy ride !
I have a 67 chevelle BBC Malbu building to be a Driver THANK YOU FOR THE MOTIVATION . STUNNING CAR💪
That was fun. Pretty day there, crisp.
Ahhh door handles! Love that sound
Same for me!
Strope is the man, he has amazing taste, amazing skills, gorgeous builds… and he looks more like Diane Keaton every year.
Diane Keaton lol!! He’s a brilliant creative designer/builder for sure
I personally believe Steve is the best automotive designer. He’s an absolute beast and makes the best cars I’ve ever seen
Strope looks wild with long hair. The man is definitely a living legend
He’s such a badass and that hair is too much! Love Steve
One of the most beautiful cars from the USA...that rear end and those tail lights...perfection.
67 Chevelle my choice any day of the week...Great Video once again...much love from the UK.
Agreed and the styling choices on this one are simply beautiful
Great ride. He can really build feat rides.
Steve is so talented that he would be very successful as a comedian and is a mind melting car builder.
Ahhh....Yes that car designer and his work I can never get enough of .......great content....
This car is a bonafide gangsta cleverly disguised as a beautiful creampuff.
fkn love this comment ,outstanding Cyber
@@patrickeast6926 I was born in '65 and we defined a _creampuff_ as a vehicle that was pristine inside and out, a sharp looking car. I used the term _gangsta_ to describe the power and shit-n-git capabilities of this classic. To each their own.
Perfect description and Steve would agree all the way. Such a nice car
@@AutotopiaLA, thank you, Brother. Enjoy your weekend.
One of the great car designers and builders. True artist
No question about it
Love it. There are so many people wanting to change a Malibu into a Chevelle. It’s refreshing. I love Steve’s work.
It's a 67 Chevelle Malibu 136 VIN
A Chevelle Super Sport is a 138 VIN
They both are Chevelle
I have both a 66 Chevelle Super Sport
and a 66 Chevelle Malibu
The point is Malibu was purposely named. It’s not an SS. For example Pontiac Lemans is not a GTO, but people will rebadge the Lemans as a GTO. If have a Pontiac Formula not a TA. I can change it to look like a TA, but it’s a Formula. Be proud of what you got.
Elegant is the perfect one word description for this one!
Exactly right
Absolutely freakin gorgeous perfection
love this car, and your channel gets better every year
I do too and thank you! The team is pushing harder than ever
Apparently the Chevelle listened to you and she feels super mellow too . There are days like that.
It was a good day and car for mellow
Man !! Simplicity at its finest !!! Stunning.
Exactly. Nothing that will date itself
Bro!
So good to see Steve!
That guy has more brains the any normal genius!
See you at SEMA! Hopefully Steve too
Search a beautiful car Steve is a top notch builder love how the chevelle is not over built just clean and able to just get out and cruise . An Shawn you are so right about shaking down small problems in the first couple hundred miles. I've built a 72 chevy Cheyenne c10 with a big block 454 bord 30 over with 10.5 compression full roller motor. 400 rebuilt trans with shift kit fresh 12 bolt posi 373 rear the truck is painted 🎨 red and white shortbed with all the factory trim and the paint is stunning that's the first thing people say who painted it it's got 20 inch wheels American racing salt flats nitto tires all new suspension with sway bars .it's got the deluxe interior black that is stunning as well I've got 658 miles on it and still doing some tinkering small shit like I had a brand new 850 cfm holley on it that I couldn't get to work right so I bought another one and as always some squeaks to fix and with headers and dual exhaust with Flowmasters it sounds incredible I watch and wait Patiently for your next video it's great that you actually go over the build because that gives me ideas once again bro thanks👍⛽️🛻
Thanks for the comment. Always shakedown…the final 10% imo is highly important and often times overlooked
Wish his show was back on TV. Great ride
I do too
Great interior and overall great build. Perfect for cruising. Nice episode. Greetings
Perfect cruiser and I’d imagine if you put your foot in it you’ll get plenty of GO!
So many great options for sexy intakes and fueling, it's interesting that they went with the webers.
Car looks great.
the webers are pure eye candy and a joy to see
I agree. Tuned right they’re great but seems like an ongoing issue with them
@@trillrifaxegrindor4411 agreed but there are very similar stacks that are electronic fuel injection that are available these days. I guess there's nothing like authentic webers though.
steves shop does some bad ass builds that car is perfect
Hey I love the cars of the 60's and early 70's and 50's also, this Malibu is great.❤
Steve Thorpe is honest man & 1 of the best In business
Steve rockin' his '80s hair band roadie mane.
All the way 🤘
Just awsome. Thank you Steve for not putting SS emblems on your Malibu. Tired of clones, and tributes. It is what it is modified 👍👍
Steve is an artist and that is an understatement. Iove every single car he has done.
That car is so tasefully done, the wheels are 'the right size' too. 🙂
Beautiful car, love that color!
Another sweet build. Love the BASS on that intro 🤯🔥🔥🔥😂
This is a typical looking street machine we would see everyday 10xs a day in the late 60s and 70s.
Not really bro. I get what you mean but this is still easily a several hundred thousand dollar build…
@@sidefx996 I said typical looking.
but its so much more under the skin.......modern brakes, modern but nostaligic instrumentation,600+ horsepower, tremec 5 speed, upgraded suspension, better stance etc at a far glance it looks like a 70s street machine and i also grew up in that era and loved them
@@matrox I understand. I always say less is more with the look on these cars (I much prefer "period" type mods over the fast & furious restomod thing. I feel too many just become money pits and look completely overcooked.
@@sidefx996 Yep
Webers on a big block: badass!
I've seen a lot of beautiful cars on your channel but this one is my favorite... Being someone who grew up in the 70s this is my idea of a car.
The Spirit of America.
Love the sound of them Flowmasters.
Steve looks like Vince Neil and I can’t unsee it 😅
That’s better than all the Meatloaf comments 😂
@@AutotopiaLA hahahahaha that’s awesome 🤣
My high school friend had a 66 Chevelle Malibu, would listen to thrice and drive to Ace Hardware to build the weekend beer bong for the party that we were headed too! 🤘. Of course he drove it balls to the wall being young punks like we were.😂
If you could please get Steve to sing 'Paradise by the dashboard light', then my vision of him as the Meatloaf of motorama would be complete?!
The Meatloaf comments are killing me 😂😂
Strope showed up lookin like Vince Neil !🤘🏼👍🏼😁
The stuff Dreams are made of right here . Sweet ride .
I saw this car and SEMA a couple of years ago and it is soooo cool up close. Love the build Steve!
I totally agree with everything Steve said about keeping it Malibu and not turning it into a SS, that was Exactly the right way to go. What a beautiful car.
I wish I could see more cars done with this much class.......that interior is dynamite.....
This is a beautiful car ❤ clean, simple build. It’s a cut above
This is a beautiful car, i love it, it’s overwhelming.
Love the exhaust note on this one.
When I was a teen I had a friend that had a 67 with a 396 and 4 speed. I watched him nail it to 60 mph in 1st gear with 3.55 gears. He never lost a race. He did eventually throw a rod.
Absolutely beautiful grown man car.
OK, I'm an old guy from Texas.Let's get this out of the ... I think for 15, ish years on and off. I've been watching Steve Strope and his magical shop turnout Insane build. But damn I love this car... 😅😅😅😅
Love Steve’s work
Absolutely nailed it, super clean and rad ride!
Gorgeous machine
Chevelles are one of my dream cars and I love the color but I’ve always wanted one in black or midnight grey
Beautiful car!
