I'm probably the only commenter that liked it in gold with the black NASCAR rims and factory body molding. That being said, all the drivetrain and chassis work is on point.
Sean’s content is so easy and nice to watch. He brings out the nerdy car guys in us. It’s like our safe space to nerd out on the little things about cars
Shawn, you had no fear this time - only pure joy!! The smile on your face was infectious. You were very respectful, but not scared of this car. You liked it a lot! Super nice episode.
Chris is a cool dude and pretty intense looking when driving hard. Lol. Restomod is awesome, of course, and imagine the lucky son of a sea biscuit who wins this beauty!
Check the VIN/Trim plate on the driver's side firewall to see if it was built in BAL, for Baltimore, or KAN for Kansas. My dad worked at the Baltimore plat from 63-93. A lot of Chevelles and GTO's came from that plant. Fantastic build!
@@robertpoudrette4483im not a fan of the low profile tires myself but I wasn't going to say anything. I mean it's not mine and I don't have any say, they like it and it's there's to build. I like the head lights though lol.
Absolutely LOVE this car dude! While I miss the "Oh Shit" face, your "Holy F this is Awesome" face worked for me! Can't believe this is a give away car!
Please put cameras on the back bumper, trunk lid, etc to show the burnout marks. Hopefully hear the exhaust better. Thank you and keep up the great work you guys do.
So many people like it.not going to get my hopes up love it it will be nice driving it .yall doing great job help people out with there future m.s car .
If you have the eye. All catalog bought custom interiors have messed up stitching. For the average TMI or whomever customer it's good enough. It's production build custom stuff that costs big $$
So the Engine was bought already done, sent to another shop for paint, sent out somewhere else for upholstery, another shop makes your badges, bolt in frame support system, and all the other stuff on the car was done by outsourcing. Sounds like an easy way to "build" and "restore" a car. Smart.
@@rookierebuilds Unless they went down that path they will never get it, how much it can add up to. Redoing stuff, poor machining stuff that dont fit heck I got well over a grand just in hardware putting the car together plus another 4-500 hardware in the engine.
What an unreal give away from Restomod shop...damn someone is going to lose their freaking mind when they win this awesome supercharged 427 Chevelle SS OMG!
Drop that front end an inch and a 1/2 for that nice rake look. And in my opinion change the wheels to a perhaps Matte/gloss black or dark gun metal finish to give it a contrast from the paint. Look into American racing wheels VN 338 Boss wheels to keep that original Cragar look with a deep lip even on 18* wheels. Not being disrespectful just my opinion. I have a 69 Chevelle as well.
1,000hp and manual transmission together are just *insane!* Love it!
Except it ain’t 1000HP.
on pump gas it makes probably around 700-800hp, but still more than enough for street car
Now just speed shift the hell out of it

I like the gold.
DEFINITELY Not the only one …
Original paint , low mileage 69 chevelle…
Cmon …..
@@nickbruni8041 I know. That was my first reaction.
Agree 100%
I like it gold with the wheels ..
Thanks for featuring our 1969 Chevelle Autotopia LA!
We loved shooting with you guys! Can’t wait to do more with you somewhere down the road
dude, that supercharger sound. i want so bad to hear that when i drive
Is tiyr sweepstakes still going, just saw this. Id love to take care of that Chevelle!
The 1st 13 seconds gave me the Biggest smile of the day ! It is the little things just the sound of it ! Absolutely an Awesome vehicle 👍🏻
I’m 51, and I feel the joy . Not many things that make guys my age giggle a little and grin ear to ear . This Chevelle does it !!
Sean’s content is so easy and nice to watch. He brings out the nerdy car guys in us. It’s like our safe space to nerd out on the little things about cars
That blower though!! I could listen to that everyday and never get tired of that noise. Beautiful build!
Love blowers but that sounds like a vacuum leak..would drive me nuts. A weiand...or 6-71 yes .
This blower is a loud one and I love it!
Ya got me with the silver! Plus the details these guys do is wow. Perfect set up. Nothing crazy and drivable. Nailed it. Great vid again!
69 Chevelle is the best styling they had. The front & rear are perfect
like 68 and 9 the same. Both look super tuff
@@gordocarbo yeah i prefer the 69 bcuz the 68 without the tail light pieces looks to nova-ish
Everything minus the taillights. But it would be easy to swap them out for color matched Beaumont taillights.
I agree as I have one, but I do like the 72’s taillights better
Great interior. Overall car is sick with unreal amount of power and that Supercharger vine is insane. Great episode. Greetings

I can't wait to see the restomods new 69 chevelle on Autotopia. That car is perfect. so sweet, fast and the coolest blue color.
👍
Aww, you got me at 1,000hp supercharged Chevelle SS. Loved seeing this!
*AutotopiaLA* She's a beauty, thank-you gentlemen for taking the time to bring us along. GOD Bless
I'm glad this channel exists. After Nelson Racing quit making vids I was jonesing for a fix.
The best of both worlds! My two fav car channels together!
I like the videos of the build process!👍
Damn it Shawn, now I need a roll bar. Awesome job by Chris and the @restomods team, as usual.

Gotta luv the urgency of the supercharged LS exhaust notes at the top of the power curve‼️🤗 🤠
Damn! That´s one serious Chevelle! Brutal power, the sound, colour, interiour....PERFECTION!
My old man owned '67...'69 and '70 Chevelles and '69 was my fave 👍 had the best rear, front and side profiles imo
Love the clean look, no excessive, unnecessary stuff!
Nice build! I love the intense look on his face when he was going through the gears.
So clean, So violent! The headlights are Dope!
Yet... I'm surpized some naysayer didn't mention the headlights "ruined" the car along with the wheels and rubberband tires...

Love this car
Oh yeah man. I had a 69 SS 396 I sure miss that car. I sold it when you could still buy them cheap. What an idiot I was. Prices went crazy after that.
Very clean well done car.
The vacuum leak-like whistle isnt my cup of tea but not hatin
17s with 35-40 series tires look good on these.
Been seeing this car all over my Instagram. Should’ve known this car would be on this channel
Out of all the cars out there today including exotic sports car etc this is my favorite. 69 Chevelle
