I'm glad I ran into this video. I already had the quad lock on my Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 900 but i had to move it on my Harley Davidson Ultra limited low. I have 14 inch LA Choppers Twin Peaks Bars and i couldn't figure out where to place it. Phone was facing down and right in the middle of watching this video, i ordered the knuckle. Thanks for the tip, great video

Great video! I have a shorter version of the same bars you have on my Riad Glide so I was glad to see your positioning and recommendation for use of the knuckle joint.
Been watching since you had your wide glide another great video was looking at the tack form mount but I think I’m gonna grab the quad lock I definitely like the setup you got with the black on black too. I know most people get the blue and black but my ocd didn’t like it since my bike is getting blacked out more and more. Thanks again brother 🤘🏻
Nice choice 👍🏼 the only negative about quad lock (not really a negative) is that I have to switch between phone cases back and forth. I don’t love the quad lock phone case enough to use it daily as it’s a little too bulky for me. I leave the QL case in my saddlebag and when I ride my bike I swap cases, toss my daily case in the saddlebag, and then when I come home I swap cases again for my slimmer case. Again, not a big deal, just something I do.
@@DieselLegiance I’ll probably do the same. Should be here Monday. New Bike is sweet by the way! Next bike I get is definitely a bagger with a nice stereo system on it and a throne for the Mrs. so she doesn’t have to hold on for dear life 😂 thanks again brother!

My Wide Glide was my brothers I bought when he passed away last year and the 88’ softail Lowrider FX was my pops so I’ll never get rid of them hoping to have a nice collection someday thats why I want a bagger next. How did you like the dampener after you used it for awhile? Mine was much too loose and flopped around a lot with the iPhone 11 so I returned it. I run gauges on my phone so it made it unreadable with the dampener I was pretty disappointed. I do like the QL mount though so far.
Hopefully sooner than later, the fuel with two diesel trucks is killing me so had to reduce some payments to offset. The goal is to pick up a like new used road king soon and start a new build.

Instead of knuckle quad lock sells ball mount so I used ram ball base with quad lock ball mount swivels great 👍

I’m already thinking of getting rid of the blue beast since winter is almost here and start a new project next year.

I never had an issue. Still use it today.
I'm going to install it on the pole of the handlebar like you. Doesn't the mount run down?
Once mounted nice and tight it works fine.
The only way the quad lock breaks is if you get into an accident
What about the Rokform mount?
I was considering that one but did not think they offered a vibration dampener which is why I went this route
Will the clamp scratch or make marks into your handlebars?
It shouldn’t…But I guess it’s always possible. Maybe wrap the bar with a thin piece of rubber under the bracket just in case.
I bought everything, but it won’t fit around my 1.5” thick bars. How thick are your bars?

Yes for usb but I sold the bike this week unfortunately.
