I am a enthousiastic fan of l'Arpeggiata and Christina Pluhar. The music arrangements of this ensemble are really fantastic and of a heavenly finesse. I love also the variation in the musical instruments used and the fantastic singers. One of my favourite CD's is "All'Improvviso" with "Voglio una casa"....Ascoltando questa musica è incantevole e celeste!
I recently discovered l'Arpeggiata and Christina Pluhar's rendition of Soler's Fandango, and have been in love with this ensemble ever since!

There is no known composer. The tarantelle is an *very* old traditional dance (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarantella)
It's credited to *Athanasius Kircher*, but that's misleading in the sense that all he did was to transcribe the six or seven notes that make up the basic melody of this traditional _tarantella_ into one of his books.
99.9% of what you're hearing is the work of the performers of l'Arpeggiata and the arranger (Christina Pluhar), who used every imaginable baroque improvisational technique to turn this handful of notes into a beautiful performance. The basic melody is repeated about 18 times, but each pass through it has different improvisations (divisions, etc.), instrumental combinations, changes in tempo, intensity, etc. so it never becomes boring. Always the same fundamentally, yet never the same! The essence of the baroque _basso ostinato_ (ground bass).
Can someone tell me the composer of the final duet? Is it Monteverdi? From Ulisse?
