Amazing - this is a big step forward in Sampling! It is the possibility to mix single articulations and recorded live elements like runs or falls, what a great inspiring idea! Some of these phrases definitely sound like live recorded - great job on that!
I don't want this, I NEED this! I found the first one very useful, and others like The Orchestra. After awhile of using them, they seem more limited in the end, but this looks and sounds groundbreaking. Better overall string sound than the first as well, which is great. Please, please, please, make Action Brass soon.
YES! Midi-Export and you can change every note of the prebuild phrase to make them your own or programm your own phrases right from the start in the empty Init-Phrase - and combine them in the AS2 song-/pattern-mode. On top the different mic-positions (Mix, Close, Spot, Tree, Ambient, Wide) with prebuild mic-mixes, eq, dynamic editor, etc. for every situation you need. And all that in an easy to use interface. AS2 got all we miss in AS1 and anybody who calls it "just a phrase-library" did not get the concept, features and specs at all :-) I HOPE these kind of an upgrade will follow for Actions Strikes and Emotive Strings too! MY WISH - you should give owners of AS1 the option to have the phrases from AS1 in AS2 also - so we can use all phrases from one place.

Nice work, NI. Great that they are somewhat dry so we can control how much reverb to apply. Just ran the audio output through some reverbs and they sounded lovely. I can see this being really helpful with trailer tracks. Should sit really nicely in the mix. Congrats to the team who clearly worked hard on this release.
I watched the whole video, it's absolutely incredible what this program can do, next year I'll definitely have to save up for this one, I just love how you can pull the midi out of it, even if you used it as a template for other sounds, such a powerful tool and it's far cheaper than spitfire audio sounds, sounds about as good and looks like alot more work has been put into this one as well. You could make amazing things with this tool! Good job in making such a power tool! Also thank you for your time.

The drag & drop midi feature has been something that's existed in the Kontakt drum groove player for years. It's a wonder why this hasn't been implemented in a string library until now. Would be nice if some of the other libraries would be updated to do the same. Unfortunately, I could see NI charging for those updates.
My Action Strings 2 doesn't allow me to put in any of the pre-made phrases when I click on the editor window...very odd. Like I click the phrase and nothing happens.
Can someone help me understand the 'note selection' option in the arpeggiator? Why wouldn't I just remove actual notes (midi) from the chord if I didn't want them triggered? Or is it a quick way to hear what that would sound like without having to go and remove/re-add midi?

This video is 3 years old! In the meantime some features of Action String 2 have changed. Especially the Editor don't look the same and works totally different and unfortunately less comfortable than it is shown in this video.
It seems to be an excellent product. I bought a komplete kontrol a49 a few weeks ago, I'm beginning with the midi instruments. I really want to try some classical instruments like this action string but it's too expensive for me right now...
Seems triplet is not included nor swing option, nor there is any mention or video on that yet. hope you can do that else you limited to only straight style.
You could say that over the past years,.I've personally 'moved on' from phrase based sticker style libraries, and my arsenal contains very intricate and fancy libraries at this point. Still, I have to say that some of the samples here sound very, very good. Powerful and sharp, but not necessarily cheap. The first Action Strings has ugly releases and overall a pretty plastic-y sound. This very much is a 2.0
@@NativeInstruments the fact that it's not really phrase based at all, saved it I think. The shorts are bright, and the engine is pretty much just a sequencer with velocity and different samples for specific note lengths? That's a good move, and a durable one :)
This looks very interesting. Are these phrases prerecorded like on Action Strings one or are they all MIDI programed? If they are all prerecorded, how would we be able to export MIDI out of these performances? Also, do you guys have any tiplets, quintuplets, etc... basic rhythms?
Is it me or am I the only one a little sad Native Instruments have decided to discontinue the original Action Strings? Still a great product that deserves some love. I might be wrong but I believe it featured on the soundtrack to the Resident Evil 2 Remake. Listen to "Hunks theme | Looming Dread". Those bass ostinatos are very distinctively Action Strings. I am 99% sure of it!
How about session horns 3 with some wah trumpets and some better legatos and sound to the horns over all to me they allways sound plasticy and not really use able. I would love the option to switch mutes too control over the wah would be awesome, like the old timey soundtracks

I cannot use this plugin without the strings inevitably getting our of sync with the rest of the track. Is this a known problem and is there any fix? I was able to export the midi and put it into a different instrument but that hardly seems like a good fix with how expensive action strings is lol. Native instruments please HELP😢
What's the trick to adding or removing single phrases in a pattern? It appears to be a double click to add them but that works randomly for me and I have no idea how to remove a single phrase from a pattern. Very frustrating.
They need to make a metal guitar version were you can create riffs from phrases and stuff on it and midi drag and drop them that would be dope @impactsoundworksllc you reading?
@@NativeInstruments well I suggest you get impact sound works for the guitar library if your going the metal route because electric sunburst is incredible but it doesn't chug like shreddage 2 library's you know?
Would realy like to have it but NI has no loyality discount when upgrading to next Komplete 14 - so you pay twice. I bought once an instrument before it become part of Komplete and I regret it by not getting an upgrade discount to Komplete 13.
Hey Andreas! You don't really pay twice since a Komplete upgrade comes with tons of new instruments and you have the possibility to transfer your individual license freely 😉

being able to export the midi is a great feature so if you dont like the sound of the strings themselves you can use your own library nice
