While there are probably some legitimate points raised in this segment, unfortunately the one-sided "outrage" approach taken here undercuts any hope at a nuanced conversation to get to a deeper understanding that would serve public interest, which I believe is somewhere in between the two sides. From what I've seen in the past, Meghan Kelly is incredibly smart and probably knows that a more nuanced approach would be in the public interest, but I suspect she is beholden to the UA-cam algorithm that rewards outrage over nuance to maximize views. It seems to me that she has gone more and more for cheap shots in her recent segments in order to feed the "outrage machine". I know she is better than that.

Huh? The whole point is that there isn’t a nuanced approach to a biological fact. There is no nuance to there being male and female. That some males believe they are female doesn’t mean it is true.

The hypocrisy is astounding. Keep the government out of private life unless it's about people I don't agree with. JS's narrative here is to let the professionals, the family and the individual come to the right conclusion for them. If that conclusion is that their gender dysphoria is most likely temporary of nature or if medical intervention needs to happen is up to the individuals and their healthcare provider who us using methodology rooted in a general consensus of the medical organizations with the highest likely positive outcome. Will it go wrong sometimes? sure it will, but hopefully more correct decisions will be made then wrong ones and if that's not the case medical professionals will update the guidelines. This should not be a decision made by some religious or politically motivated agenda based on people's opinions who post on youtube.

But one thing that society does and should care about is protecting the next generation safely out of childhood. The State *should* intervene if parents are abusive or neglectful. The State *should* intervene if children are being irreparably harmed. The State (and yes, by extension even religiously motivated conservative voters if you want to assign blame to the most convenient pinata you want to shake your stick at) does not need to micromanage every aspect of every child, but this is a big one. This is bigger than tattoos or piercings or marriage- all of which tend to have legal structures that prevent children from committing to lifelong choices while they are underage.

If the following applies to you, you are a woman, if it does not, you are not. -
    What's Up, Down There
The Female Anatomy 101: An Intimate Look At Our Bodies
In our series, “What’s Up, Down There,” we’re covering important vaginal health topics you might not have learned in health class. In this issue, we’re exploring the different parts of the female anatomy, specifically our reproductive organs. Many of us haven’t spent much time really examining what we look like down there, but doing so can be beneficial. Familiarizing yourself with your own body can help you to make more informed choices about your health!
    artistic rendering of the vulva
    The Vagina
The word “vagina” has become an all-encompassing term used to refer to the general area “down there.” When in fact, the vagina is a complex part of our internal anatomy.
The vagina is a muscular tube that extends from the vaginal opening to the uterus. A thin piece of tissue, known as the hymen, partially covers the vaginal opening. The hymen may vary in size, shape, thickness, and some women may not have one at all. Evolution suggests it may be present to keep out bacteria, but experts aren’t convinced it has a real purpose.
Overall, the vagina is an incredible organ that can expand and contract, allowing us to insert something as small as a tampon or expand wide to birth a baby. Fun fact: the average vagina is between 2.5 -3.0 inches wide and 3 - 4 inches long, but it can stretch up to 200% due to its elasticity!
    The Vulva
Often when people use the word “vagina,” they’re actually referring to the vulva. The vulva consists of all of our external female sex organs including the mons pubis (pubic hair area), labia majora (outer lips), labia minora (inner lips), and the clitoris. These organs play a key part in sexual arousal.
Labia can range in color from pink to red to brown to purplish. When it comes to shape, there are several general labia types from asymmetric inner or outer labia, to curved outer labia, and dangling inner or outer labia. While society may suggest there’s a certain appearance that’s “normal”, the truth is no woman is the same. Labia come in all different colors and shapes and all are normal!
    The Clitoris
What you may not realize is that most of the clitoris is not visible.
The clitoris is located above the vaginal opening. The glans clitoris is the external part of the clitoris and what most refer to as the “clitoris.” Though it is only about the size of a pea, it’s the most highly sensitive area of our body with over 8,000 nerve endings. It is covered by the clitoral hood, which also contains nerve endings.
The body of the clitoris is shaped like a wishbone structure inside our body. The legs of the clitoris, technically known as the crura, and the vestibular bulbs, contain erectile tissue (much like a man’s penis) that swell and become erect when aroused. Naturally, the main role of the clitoris is to aid in sexual arousal.
artistic rendering of the female reproductive system
    The Uterus
The uterus is a muscular, pear-shaped organ located between the bladder and the rectum. Also known as the womb, the uterus is where a fetus grows and develops during pregnancy. If an egg (oocyte) enters the uterus and isn’t fertilized by sperm, the inner lining of the uterus will shed through the process of menstrual bleeding.
    The Cervix
The cervix is the lowest part of the uterus, and acts as a door to the rest of the reproductive system. It is a narrow, neck-shaped passageway connecting the vagina to the uterus. It plays an important role in keeping unwanted bacteria out of the uterus and allowing substances like sperm in and blood out during menstruation.
    The Ovaries
The ovaries are two small oval-shaped glands, about the size of a grape, located on either side of the uterus. The ovaries are where eggs (oocytes) and key hormones estrogen and progesterone are produced. The ovaries take turns releasing an egg each menstrual cycle. If the egg is fertilized by sperm, it begins the process of conception. If it is not fertilized, we shed the egg through our menstrual period.
    The Fallopian Tubes
The fallopian tubes are two tubes that extend from either side of the uterus and are on average about 10 to 12 centimeters long. The primary function of the fallopian tubes is to form a path to transport eggs from the ovaries to the uterus. Eggs are typically fertilized in the fallopian tubes.
Getting up close and personal with your body is a powerful way to take charge of your health. If you want to understand more about what’s up down there, talk to your Axia Women’s Health provider. No question is ever off limits!
The breast contains multiple structures within it, including:7
Adipose tissue: Each breast contains adipose or fatty tissue used to store excess energy.8
Lobules: Within the adipose tissue are 15-20 sections called lobules attached to ducts that can produce milk.
Milk ducts: The milk ducts lead to the areola and nipple, which are the outer portion of the breast.
Areola and nipples: The areola is the darker area on the outside of the breast that surrounds the nipple in the center.
    Female Body Parts Function
    Hormonal Changes
Estrogen and progesterone are the primary female hormones produced by the reproductive system. Hormone production increases at puberty to stimulate ovulation, giving a woman the ability to conceive a child. Female hormones also promote vaginal lubrication and increase sexual desire.
    Intimacy
Female anatomy is designed for both intimacy and conceiving a baby. Structures such as the vulva, vagina, and breasts are sensitive to touch, stimulating arousal. The clitoris includes sensitive nerve endings, and its sole purpose is for sexual pleasure.
    Getting Pregnant
Sexual intimacy that leads to intercourse is usually the first step in getting pregnant. However, some do so through in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intrauterine insemination (IUI).
    Conception and Pregnancy
During ovulation, an ovary releases an egg that travels through the fallopian tubes to the uterus. During penile-vaginal intercourse, semen is released into the vagina. Sperm from the semen swim toward the egg to join with it in the uterus or fallopian tubes.
Conception, or fertilization, occurs when the sperm and egg join, creating a zygote that develops into an embryo. Fertilization can happen hours or days after sexual intercourse.
When the egg is not fertilized and a female doesn’t get pregnant, the uterine lining sheds, causing a menstrual cycle, or period. Most females have a cycle every 28-31 days. However, it varies depending on when they ovulate.
    Summary
Female anatomy is intricate, and its structures have many functions, including urination, sexual arousal, and the conception of a baby.

I grew up to be what I am - a woman. Very happily so. Today I would’ve been told I’m a trans kid. As a psychologist, there is nothing new. ALL people struggle to find their identity. the only difference is in our current world we live in, there is an overemphasis on gender and sex more than previous times, which causes a bit more struggle and confusion. another problem we have open the door to different ways of being a certain gender or identity, which causes more struggle for the individual I think.

@@morenitascorp9246 Yes that is True. In the 1920s and 60s too.
In 1950s a psychologist named Eric Erickson published his work on children and their development. He said that kids developed in stages. The stage of development between 12 to 18 was literally called the stage of "Identity VS. Role Confusion"
He said that not until after this stage into the twenties is when a child now adult will have solidified their gender identity. Basically that means anytime before that kids and young adults will be literally confused. That is why teenagers making decisions on stuff like this is totally wrong.
Additionally, the part of the brain that is responsible for good decision making and sound judgment is still growing and not fully formed until around 25. This means adolescence and young adults often have a hard time making wise decisions and good judgment.
