I think he hears his own voice too loud. If he had his car radio up, couldnt hear his own voice, he would nail it. Sounds like his just sorta holding back, and not belting it out. Still fantastic. And what the hell am I talking about anyway. ( . )( . )
Agreed with H Bug. The drumming was.... over the top fantastic in that he actually successfully added to Danny Carey's own perfection (which is dangerous to attempt, but he fucking NAILED it), but his mic should have been cranked to eleven. He was WAY too muted, maybe to give the spotlight to the drums? Anyway, the power of the song by a slim margin is the lyrics and the delivery of the message, a thing which did fail to deliver.
By the way.... the bass player was playing with his fingers, not a pic. The Tool bassist (Justin Chancellor) uses a pic. Impressive as hell, also.

One of the highlights of the weekend. Couldnt believe it when o heard it.
Saw these guys around 07. Alpine Valley. They opened for Dave Matthews. Not many shows will compare to that. Dave played for over 3 hours. It was a show. Did a version of what you are that was out of this world.
Singing and playing drums on that song. Respect

Kris has always been a wizard. Dude literally has a master's in jazz drumming, the most technical and skillful genre. His timing is that of a Swiss watch. Completely in a league of his own, not even close IMO. Watch their live stuff and peep Kris constantly tuning his snare and toms and adjusting his set while keeping time as well as he does. Not to mention he's not a half bad vocalist.
He deserves so much more respect and recognition.

Jesus Christ..... mimicking Danny Carey is one thing, but then covering "46 & 2" while fucking ADDING TO the original..... it completely changed the feel and mood of the song, which is dangerous to do with such a perfectly constructed song as this, but.... WELL FUCKING PLAYED, SIR!

So hears a story about how I first ever watched this video:
Me and my buddy, who definitely has seen ump a buncha times, were cooking out some food this one night, we planned on our a couple days before hand, and it's a work night. We're gonna have this really good mac and cheese I made with a bunch of chopped up bacon in it that I cooked and chopped up to go in the mac and cheese, and my homie was on grill detail, bratwursts. Everything was going as planned till he busted out some really pure strong Molly. He said the meal would taste better if we were rolling before hand. Wrong. I never ate a god damn thing that night. But what made it comforting though even after our feast was somehow still cooked to perfection by my friend, we sat down and he turned this tool cover on for me, and it really calmed me down from being too stoned on MDMA. I got some leftovers the next day. The end

The bass player doesn't know how to play this song. He missed the F on the opening riff and got the verse wrong along with various other parts of the song. In fact the only parts he played right were the intro main riff (D drone) and the drum solo, kinda.
