@@Toymonkeyjr ford tried to do too much with the 3v. The 2v and 4v 4.6 are indestructible. Unlike chevy, when you boost these they don't blow apart if you keep them under 450whp.
BOV after the MAF? I welded in a bung for the BOV to be before the FMIC and the IAT/PMAS stick style MAF is right before the TB. Works very well. 👍🍺 love the HP and build though. Nice job.

If you have 100% stock internals i wouldn't go much above 450hp as a daily driver. But I've seen them handle a little more occasionally. It really depends on the tune and whether or not you mess with the timing.
@@KyrieEleisonMaranatha keep rpm moderate, give it the best fuel possible and don't run too much boost. The key to reliable power is an efficient setup i.e. headers, cams, etc etc make 450+ on 10 psi you're probably good with a good tune if you watch your rpms.
@@midnight347 nope, the number one cause for engine failure is improper ring gap. You can take the pistons out and regap the rings to 30 thousandths and you can run a 4.6 2v well into the 800hp range. I've seen some take 20 psi boost and almost a 1000 hp just by gapping the rings to 30 thousandths.
@WarriorOfEden3033 you can do gen 2 coyote rods and make 600+ easy imo. Any further you prob gonna need forged pistons too. The block itself can do 1000+ without issue. The mod motors pre coyote are all slept on imo.
I assume it has a decently lower gear or is that a 3rd gear pull? Seems like its coming on very soon for that to be a normal 4th gear pull at that power level.

Which treadstone do you recommend ( 750hp 900hp 1000hp or 1300hp cooler) for my blower. It's pretty much same setup as your father's with exception of blower. 10;1 compression. Thanks, much -bud

The reason I'm asking is because I'm looking to boost my car and a lot of the videos I've seen they put the blow off valve exactly where you have it and usually end up running into problems for some reason then we'll move the blow off valve down by the intercooler I just kind of wondering does it matter

Unless the bottom end gets forged this thing has a life expectancy of maybe one season. Factory 4.6 2v’s are only good for about 450 or so to the crank if you like your rods in solid form and not powder.

Everyone acts like you can't make power with a 2v smh. It's easier to get to big power with a 2v than it is an old pushrod 5.0. What I mean is you need an aftermarket block to hit those numbers reliably with an old 302 whereas the 2v only needs forged rods and pistons. A pushrod 302 needs forged rods pistons and crank and a dart block that is significantly more money. But everyone loves foxes and hates on 2v *shrugs* I don't get it man.
Mmm i cant decide if I want a positive displacement, centrifugal, turbo, or 2 turbos. Never owned forced induction but i dont think id like the centrifugal as much as the other options.. 🤔🤔🤔
@Raphael anything is gonna have best numbers with turbos turbos are more efficient. I love turbos and would def go turbo before centri but the tvs blowers are badass. I think it would be awesome to have a 2v with a gen3r vmp blower by using the department of boost kit that allows use of terminator blowers. Not sure if anyone has done that but it would be sick with trickflow heads and cams on a 2v.
@Raphael what I meant by my comment is sometimes it isn't just about maximum power. How the power comes on and the overall power curve and the way the car feels and drives is very important on a street car imo. Not that you can't have a badass power curve with a turbo because sized correctly you can for sure. But no matter what it'll never have that instant power feel like the positive displacement blowers do. They literally feel na...like you have a badass big block under the hood lol. There is always a split second of hesitation between going WOT and getting into power with a turbo no matter how well it's sized etc. Those are all things that need to be considered with a street car. If it's an all out race car yes turbos prob make more sense they will get more ultimate power per psi.

On a street car the modern tvs blowers are hard to beat. They're extremely efficient and get good mpg when you're not in boost. They can go 100+k without an oil change or a rebuild. They fit under stock hoods with 0 mods (even the 2650) what's not to love? They're just plain badass. My gen3r on my 07 gt500 did 740/733 to the tires on 93/boostane around 19 psi. That was also through 4.10s which soak up power.. the torque is 700+ from 3300-5300 and its still doing 600+ torque at 6500 redline lol. The 5.4/5.8 + a tvs is a ridiculous torque monster and I love it! So nasty but with 4.10s even 325/50/15 et street r have a hard time holding it in 2nd gear lol.

Well, the crank is taking over 600rwhp according to this guy, i hear the crank can handle 800hp, the pistons 500hp, n the rods 450hp n then kaboom..
If you have 100% stock internals i wouldn't go much above 450hp as a daily driver. But I've seen them handle a little more occasionally. It really depends on the tune and whether or not you mess with the timing.

We made 560ish on the stock bottom end for 4-5 years. This was with ported heads, turbo cams, Edelbrock intake.

Its a 4th gear hit. It has a 3.73 and that tire is only 25.5" iirc. Charger does come very quick. For a power level reference, it traps mid 130s.

It is a built bottom end. It been together at thei power level for around 6 years.
It has rods and piston those stock cranks can handle upwards of 700 plus hp

@Raphael Yeah, considering trying an On3 kit actually for a first set up. Sounds like they have been refined a lot and work pretty well.

It's trapped 136 mph, definitely 9 sec territory. Dyno numbers arnt everything.
hp is only half of the game for good track times.
