@@michaelcorleonelfc2407 your comment is very ignorant. Do you think that's the first time I heard this scenario from an addicted meat eater? obviously you have not done your research. Up to 80% of soy crops is given to animal livestock so 80% of those insects that you're concerned about it's because of you and people who allow the meat and dairy Industries to exist. Only 3% goes to people. So not only are you allowing 80% of those insects to die you are also eating the animal that's eating the crops. Veganism is stopping the exploitation and cruelty to animals. People who eat plant-based food only are trying to do the least amount of harm to this planet. Your comment tells me you are one of four things. You're either a farmer a hunter or you know a farmer or you work for the meat and Dairy industries. Which one are you?
Having one's habits challenged can be a scary and exasperating thing - especially when that habit involves a sense of entitlement. But your questioning got him to let his guard down and to actually think a bit as he admitted. Good work.
It's interesting how so many people, even the coherent ones, bring up human rights as if choosing not to support animal abuse somehow detracts from caring about humans. It that you can only do one at a time. Going vegan does not prevent caring about human rights in any way. In fact, extending your compassion to non human animals makes you more aware of injustice done to humans. It bolsters your compassion. Choosing different products at the market is not going to stop you from fighting for human rights.
maybe it's just me, but I have yet to meet someone who is for human rights but not against animal abuse. what kind of products in the market are you talking about, how does not buying them affect animal abuse? just as a hypothetical, imagine I am an ardent animal abuser, your refusal to buy exactly what would have prevented me in my enthusiasm?

Every person deserves to be given a pass if they've never been given the information about the true brutality of animal agriculture. Like you said, most of us weren't raised vegan, so somewhere along the line we were told what was going on, and we changed. Hopefully this guy will too.
Hey Freddie, are you ready to answer these question yet? Why do you do it? Do you think you are championing some kind of a worthy cause or “saving” society from some form of injustice? Do you really honestly think that your position is ethically or logically sound? If you really didn't care what vegans think you wouldn’t be here being so defensive, you would just be getting on with your life and not giving it another thought. But you obviously do care about what we are saying, it does effect you, you are not just getting on with your life you are here ranting and raving and actively advocating for exploitation, suffering and killing. I am genuinely interested in what motivates people like you to come on here and defend, promote and joke about all that needless violence and harm. Why do you do it?

So it doesn't “piss me off” at all, it just confirms what we all already know about you.
