Great outreach Mel, hard work being confronted by such annoying children .

This represents most children when faced with vegan philosophy, importantly not all of them though, so please keep going.
It's typical treatment vegturds get from kids for being so annoying.
If you had a child that wanted to eat meat products would you ban them?

I would educate them, give them a chance to redeem themselves first.
In all reality though, if you had kids they'd be more empathetic, most likely.
My kids were raised eating animals, but now they don't because I changed. It all starts at home. Trying to raise good humans is all we can do. Most parents don't interact with their kids enough.

The main vegan option, Spicy Tofu is 40p CHEAPER than the main meat options... and they're all over £6 - an expensive restaurant to choose when you're claiming you can't afford anything other than fast food. 🙄
I wish I knew this at the time!
It’s ridiculous the excuses they come up with to keep animals in slaughterhouses
@@Itsmelandsteve Kokoro isn’t even particularly good, it’s just _average_ and no better than any supermarket takeaway style offering. There’s the _Wasabi_ brand available just about everywhere, it’s cheaper, you just have to microwave it.
In these videos, you can always see someone in thought, even if it's for just a few seconds. It gives me hope that some of these folks, stubborn as they may be, have had their worldviews challenged and have the wheels turning in their heads. When they're not performing for their friend group, a handful of them will certainly find themselves in thought, considering some of your points. Excellent outreach, as always.

The girl mentioned respecting you and how she felt like it wasn't mutual. You show your respect for the kids by trying to help them see the truth so they can be empowered to make healthier, ethical choices that align with how they feel at their core. You're speaking for the victims who are slaughtered, but also for the kids, who are victims of a society dominated by corruption and manipulation. You help people connect with their empathy and integrity. Kids need that.
kids don't need life lessons from strangers calling them extremists if they don't join their cult. kids get all the necessary knowledge at school, which is the appropriate setting for such activities. Mel was lucky that she didn't run into some of their parents.

As much as I am on your side and respect what you're doing, you came across a bit preachy and patronising at times and didn't properly address some of their points (as silly as some of them were). I think its important because its easy to lose them if they get a hint of that in a debate. Once they feel belitted or annoyed then they're just going to want to argue back and not hear you. I understand their arguments are quite triggering but that's how a lot of people think as you know. The start was good with the two young boys but once the group came it became difficult.

@domichall666 it takes a true alpha man to go confidently and purchase perfectly prepared chicken cuts.
Youe strength and resilience in the face of opposition are truly commendable. You remained firm despite being outnumbered and confronted with challenging arguments. Your dedication to veganism is inspiring and serves as a reminder of the importance of standing up for what you believe in.
Regarding the student's comment about the cost of vegan meals, it's important to note that vegan food can be affordable, especially when you shop smart and plan ahead. For instance, convenient options like Uncle Ben's rice pouches or flavored lentil and bean pouches can serve as excellent bases for a quick and nutritious lunch. These can be easily complemented with fresh vegetables or a side salad for a well-rounded meal.
There are many options for affordable vegan lunches. Pre-made vegan sandwiches can be found at many supermarkets and convenience stores. Salad bars offer a variety of vegetables, grains, and plant-based proteins. Vegan soup and salad options are available at many restaurants and cafes. Vegan wraps filled with fresh vegetables and a plant-based protein can be a quick and easy lunch. Leftovers from dinner can be brought to work for a simple and satisfying meal. A fruit salad with nuts and seeds can be a healthy and satisfying vegan meal, and hummus with pita bread is a delicious and nutritious vegan option.
Prepping meals and packing lunches can be simple and budget-friendly for vegans. Making your own sandwiches is a great way to save money, and it's easy to customise them with your favourite fillings like hummus, avocado, roasted vegetables, or even vegan cream cheese and cheese slices, which are widely available.
Bringing snacks to work or school is another way to stay on track without breaking the bank. There are plenty of affordable vegan snacks in the UK, such as Oreos (yes, they’re accidentally vegan!), Propercorn Sweet & Salty popcorn, and most crisps, including Walkers roasted chicken flavour. Nakd Bars, available in various flavours, are also a popular choice. Salted rice cakes with peanut butter or Graze vegan snack packs, which include options like nuts and dried fruit mixes, are convenient, satisfying snacks that are easy to pack up and take with you.
It definitely got them thinking! Well done 👏🏽 🌱
Excellent outreach. Thank you fellow vegans 💗💗💗

Animals feel pain but still they’re powerless against humans. If they had more power and might against us we wouldn’t be able to eat them.
@@xtrumo.em2d296 They’re “powerless against us” because cows, sheep, pigs and chickens have all been domesticated over thousands of years to make them into docile meat, milk and egg machines. Similar to what we did to dogs, selectively bred to get what _we want._
Just look at the wild forebears to all of those species, we don’t have aurochs anymore, but if we did, no-one would get anywhere near them, let alone try and squeeze some milk out of one. Generally, animal proteins are known as complete proteins, meaning they contain all nine essential amino acids. While some plant proteins, including pea protein and soybeans, are also complete protein sources, many other plant foods are considered incomplete proteins
I would rather get my complete proteins from meat

Yes. There’s zero scientific research supporting a carnivore diet. You’re being brainwashed by internet influencers.
If plant protein is sufficient why do so many people do poorly ona vegan diet. I lived in a vegan community and many people were suboptimal on plants alone. I knew this before being vegan and I know it now. It wasn't for me and I was not well being vegan. So it'd a choice and always will be.
Same here, tried it for nearly 2 years, made me ill, never again .
It is only suboptimal if you are an idiot and dont do any research on nutrition. If you got half a braincell you will thrive being a vegan.

A human "meat-eater" eats animals because they are available in abstract forms of"meat".
Meat-eaters aren't Carnivores or predators
If you want to disprove this reality you should catch & eat an animal alive and film it.
Historically people have eaten animals:
A) to survive/ they didn't have plant foods as an option.
No access to agriculture, hunter-gatherers.
B) because they are rich, have a choice, choose to eat animals.
C) because culture has normalised eating animals even though we aren't carnivores or omnivores and have serious diseases and health issues long term from eating animals.
Eating animals isn't necessary nutritionally, it's fundamentally deadly.
If we had the systems for properly consuming animals we would eat them raw, but you'd have illnesses from that wouldn't you?
Eating them cooked doesn't remove the reality of illness & disease either.
Instead of raw consumption of animals we skin the animal, cut the flesh in portions that can be held in your hand, and cook it with plant seasonings to "eat like our ancestors did".
Those same Ancestors would be disappointed at you falling for the consumerism scam companies use to profit off of your ignorance, then off of your bad health with pills, surgeries, medical procedures. They would know that they didn't eat meat because they liked it or they wanted to, they ate meat because they had no other choice.
As for people living in Civilisation later on, for a long time the rich (%1) were the ones regularly eating meat as a luxury, while the peasants ate grains, fruits, vegetables.
The rich always died sooner than the peasants in terms of life expectancy from diseases developed from eating dead flesh (meat), animal breast milk (dairy), & chicken periods (eggs)
Cultures around the world with great "cultural food" are holding back the people that follow these cultures from progressing as a people, by trapping them in short-lived, disease-filled lives of 50-70 years.
You might be here for a good time, not a long time, but some of us appreciate having good health, no disease, no joint pain, good gut health, regular excretions, no smelly farts/ body odour & a healthy brain from adequate nutrition.
For the human body, animal flesh is highly acidic, fattening, cholesterol-laden, artery-clogging, lymph-clotting, mucus-forming, constipating, difficult to digest, full of worms/ parasites/ bacteria/ metabolic waste/ hormones all of which breed disease.
So why have we been eating meat since the dawn of human beings.
The first major evolutionary change in the human diet was the incorporation of meat and marrow from large animals, which occurred at least 2.6 million years ago.
Your wishful thinking impresses no one.
@@K9.5555 and despite your essay, human carnivores thrive while vegans look ill, vegan diets require supplementation while carnivores don't. @@John.anti-carnist no, the point was the plant and animal protein comparison; we simply do not know enough about the sentience of fungi.
