How well can you fill the backpack if you intend to carry the pouch inside? Looks like it kills all of the space inside.

I'm looking to replace with Cargo Chrome Industries (I like but it's heavy) and I found this bag. It's another style but looks great to carry on my 16" MBP and all my geeky stuff. Thanks for the review
