I think i may have just found the perfect bag. I love the layout, the color, the look, and the price is insanely reasonable. I am skeptical about the 26 L but for day to day this bag looks more than capable. Great video!
The main compartment looks pretty narrow for a 26L! One thing I've noticed with Alpaka products is that they generally seem smaller than the listed volume
Thank you for watching! That’s a fair point on the main compartment it does feel a little slim for a 26l bag but the bag is fairly tall so that might contribute to the volume (it’s also so tough to do a proper volume assessment, I’ve seen other 26l bags that hold much more and about the same as this one)
Thank you for watching and that’s a fair point! Sizing on bags can feel so tricky even among bags that list a similar volume, reminds me a bit of something like the Bellroy venture ready which is also 26l but doesn’t feel quite as spacious
Having just tested X-Pac on an Able Carry Daybreaker 2, I'm surprised it's the same weight as the Axoflux fabric as it seems really lightweight, plus it's stated as lighter on the Metro Backpack Pro. Does anybody know if this is this really the case pls?
Kinda skimmed through the video but do the zippers tuck away into the water bottle holder? Odd question but I was curious if it does tuck away to help deter thieves without having to get a lock for the zippers.
Thank you for watching and for the support! It might be slightly tall for some of the smaller airlines but I still think it could fit under the seat on most flights

I agree the CPP feels like it can handle at least the same amount of stuff and maybe more especially with the benefit of the clamshell opening main area
Thank you for watching! Definitely feels a little more compact than some of the other 26l bags, haven’t had a chance to try the shift but seems like a pretty interesting alternative
I just got the elements pro last week and while i love the design which looks amazing i have a few issues. 1 i find it a bit heavy even while empty and 2 the foam on the straps are super uncomfortable for me specially when you start to load it out. I really want to love it but the weight and uncomfortable straps in my opinion makes it a no go for me. I am trying to convince myself that they will break in but i dont want to risk it. Any thoughts?
You mentioned that the bag doesn't feel like a 26L bag compared to the market, if you were to re-adjust the liter size for this bag would it be around 20L or less? I've been thinking about getting this, but I also made a list which includes Able Carry Daily or Daily Plus, and the Aer City Pack. Unfortunately, I'm not able to get an Aer CP in my country and my only options would only be this or the Able Carry Daily/Daily Plus.
Hi! Thanks for the video! Quick question, are you able to fit a 12.9 ipad in the front sleeve and a 15.6 hp laptop (not as thin as the macbooks) at the same time? Thank you!
Hi, I see that the prices are not much different on the market, which is better, the Alpaka Element Pro and the Fjallraven Raven 28? I will use it for travel
Hi, the flashlight link you provided looks different than the one featured. Also, do you have a link for the knife? Thanks for the great content. I just ordered this backpack. Arrives in a couple days. :)
Did you find this bag true to size? Compared to CPP being 24L is this bag really 26L or feel like it? Can I fit a camera cub in there and use for travel maybe?!
Thank you for watching! it does feel a little slim for a 26l bag but the bag is fairly tall so that might contribute to the volume (it’s also so tough to do a proper volume assessment, I’ve seen other 26l bags that hold much more and about the same as this one). I was able to fit my typical peak design packing cube and Dopp kit so it can work for a quick trip imo, depending on the camera cube I think that could fit, I don’t think they would fit well at the same time tho
@@dannypacks thanks Danny, much appreciated. Which one would you prefer between this one and the CPP? Price is something that I need to factor in as here in Australia, CPP is $200 more than the Alpaka! Also, what is your opinion on alpha one niner 1.0?
Great Video! So I got this bag, and it does not feel like 26l AT ALL. The question is have you ever had the CPL 16, and size-wise would you say there is more room in the CPL because this bag feels like 20l at most.
Recently ordered one of these and immediately returned it. They stated 26L capacity is greatly exaggerated, it's more like 20L at best. Also, the shoulder straps are very uncomfortable if you have a broader chest, and the sternum strap is useless. 26 oz Camelbak water bottles barely fits in the bottle pockets. I will say the build quality was great, but is wasted on this poorly designed pack.
Thanks for this, I was looking at ordering one. I'm 6’5”, not the smallest guy and my usual everyday backpack is around 30l so you've saved me some drama!
Actually purchased the same pack because of this review. Loved it so much, I purchased the travel pack. Thank you for doing your reviews.
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful and that the bag has been working well for you!
How's your bag so far? Are you using it daily?
I switch to the X PAC version in October, will switch back in April.
I think i may have just found the perfect bag. I love the layout, the color, the look, and the price is insanely reasonable.

Great video!
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! Definitely a great bag and hope you enjoy using it alot!:)
Thanks for the great review, Danny!

yes I ordered a few items and am disappointed by the actual available volume.
@@jingruiyu6854Same here.
I love the pricing and value of Alpaka Bags. Good bag for the buck!
Thank you for watching and I agree, definitely a solid bag for this price point!
Depends where you are because in Europe, alpaka is among the most expensive. Black ember winning by a mile though.
I have this bag but in VX42 fabric it looks awesome however for some reason this feels smaller than the advertised size (26L)
Thank you for watching and that’s a fair point! Sizing on bags can feel so tricky even among bags that list a similar volume, reminds me a bit of something like the Bellroy venture ready which is also 26l but doesn’t feel quite as spacious
Thanks for the code, Danny. I just placed an order! 😊
Thank you for watching and glad the code was helpful!:)

Thank you for a great review. Just a question. Could a cube as thick as 6-7 inches in depth fit inside the main compartment? Thanks again!
Kinda skimmed through the video but do the zippers tuck away into the water bottle holder? Odd question but I was curious if it does tuck away to help deter thieves without having to get a lock for the zippers.
Would this work for an under the seat bag? Great videos as always.
Thank you for watching and for the support! It might be slightly tall for some of the smaller airlines but I still think it could fit under the seat on most flights
I love my Alpaka EBP, but I would say is more like a 22 liters than 26. The 24 liters Aer CPP can handle more stuff than the Alpaka for sure.

Seems a little slim for 26L, I wonder if the shift pack v2 would be a similar footprint but has the roll top for more storage.
Thank you for watching! Definitely feels a little more compact than some of the other 26l bags, haven’t had a chance to try the shift but seems like a pretty interesting alternative
@@dannypacks You are one of the best bag reviewers. I have the shift pack v2 now, for days I have to over pack, but it is a little bit heavy.

I dig Alpaka...great design language.
Thank you for watching and I agree, really cool products all around!
Is this the army green version because this looks more brown to me.
?😊
Thank you for watching! It’s listed as green on the site but that’s a fair point, it is not as green as some other bags, more brownish green
@@dannypacks How's the bag holding so far? No issues still?
I love that MOLLE like set up. I know it's for their accessories but it's literally just like MOLLE i can use for my knives and lights. Sold
Thank you for watching and I agree, that’s a useful feature!:)

The discount isn’t working in the uk :)
Thank you for watching and for the heads up! I’ll reach out to Alpaka to see if there’s anything they can take a look at!
what drone is that??
Thank you for watching! That is the DJi mavic mini 2, I think there may be a newer version now that looks even better!
Feels like an 18 liter bag its being returned. Can't fit enough in it.
The design of this bag is based on the superior Wexley Sheldrake.

Why Alpaka don't use Xpac material on this backpack?
Thank you for watching! Looks like they do offer it in xpac but only in the black color way unfortunately
