Looks and sounds fantastic, like the steering wheel wrap too! I was reluctant to install a CAI after listening to all the naysayers against having one. Then I asked my brother who does autocross with a CAI installed in his 2008 Honda Fit. He told me he has 350,000mi on that Fit. That was a good enough answer for me, so I installed it in my Camry. Now I make any excuse to drive the dang thing just to hear the engine roar.
Replace the supercharger oil, buy a modular press on pulley combo, u need delete, cooler spark plugs, send the computer out to be unlocked. Thank me later
@@SSDracerSD you can also take the cone off the supercharger and add a block off plate and turbo charge it. Replace the plastic 90 degree coolant elbows with a pair of aluminum elbows. Change the upper mounts to the solid poly mounts.. Check out Intense-racing website and zzperformance!
I got the exact same car for my first car and its such a good car so far all i did was add a nea air filter and i just love how nice they put these cars together
$1200 is beyond a steal. thats like literally grand theft auto. nice car man thats awesome. im new to this channel and video im clearly late but i have a 2000gtp and i LOVE my car. LOVE IT.
I'll be posting mine after I get my drive shafts in and on the road and tuned a bit. ZZPerformance has been great with parts, fitment, looks, build quality, function, most importantly they have the best customer service I've experienced. JE pistons, H beam rods, ls7 rockers, lifters, cam, chromoly pushrods, ss valves, fmic (all zzp), ported heads, ported intake, ported sc, 3.1 pulley(until broke in), 60cc inj, Long tube headers, etc..
are you rolling with the stock tranny? what maintenance you recommend to do? my gtp is at 171k right now and I plan to have it for at least double that number
Nice! I just received the same intake for my 04 Impala SS and watched your vid to see if the sound was what I wanted and it's perfect 👌. Im doing the cai, a down pipe, and full tune up along with. Hopefully the car runs better. I used to get 25 mpg but now I can't squeak out 16. 3800sc is a great engine though. Mine has almost 223,xxx miles on it
Tried timing it from the video- about the same 0-60, and 0-100 times between stock and cold air intake? I do know that type of filter allows a lot more fine particles to pass through into the engine, but don't know if it ultimately makes any difference on engine longevity, even if had been used from day one to 250K miles- the engine oil and oil filter may suspend those particles well enough.
I did the same thing. Wasn't expecting much performance gains just with the CAI. Once I get headers and other boltons, it should help. Love the sound though.

Yeah I agree. Just the sound is worth it 👌

Yeah I'll be doing a few things along the way. Need a little more power to be competitive 🏁

Nice just picked up a 97 for 1500 earlier this week. 160k miles.
It's a fun car! Might take it to the track soon for some runs

I modded my 2005 3.8 supercharged Monte. That thing was very quick!

Here's a sample at idle since I had to get it outside for other work coming in.
@@Not.The.Avg.Smitty sounds great! Subscribed!
Nice addition, looking forward to what you do next!
Thanks man! I need a few boltons before I take it to the track again 🏁
@@SSDracerSD welcome, all good looking forward to that video
I miss those Old GTPs ...
This is the first one I've personally seen in San Diego. Had to buy it.
@@SSDracerSD , We have a new employee that just started and he has a 2000 GTP, I might see if he's interested in selling ...
Build the engine lol & raise the HP & port that SC

Got a steak for 1800. Engine bay looks great. Just got a 07 for 1800
What cold air intake is this ?
Can someone send me the link for the cold air intake from the video.

I love the way it sounds now!
Yeah sounds good 👍
Time to take it to the track for the results!
I agree 👍 🏁
Gas gauge doesn't work?
Nope 🤣
