Super stoked to find another enthusiast even more so to see that you collaborated with Salem Doyle My Rickie Bobbie is a 2000 GTP Daytona 500 that I finally have running again after 13 months of being a passenger or a pedestrian she had broken rear lateral control arms I'm not the healthiest I've ever been working on her put me in the hospital and someone had firebombed our garage this past winter so it's been a tough one but now find myself in a better position to begin to bring her back to original as well as modify her to make her the best she can be
I'm so glad I can be here for people like yourself! Sounds like y'all been through a wild ride together! And the Daytona's are definitely worth the work and effort! I hope you get it up and running soon!!
All those upgrades are Great ... But still that top engine mount upgrade .. No.... It's not benefiting...it's actually doin more damage in my opinion to the transmission..and axle.... Just change out to the stiffer bushings on the engine mounts
@@olds260 unfortunately the poly engine/trans mounts, ZZP doesn't make anymore. So getting ahold of them is so so hard. However I'm in the middle of swapping to a 4T80e with solid mounts
I installed upper short dog bone brackets, but I ended up reinstalling the OEM dog bone with new polly inserts to get more space in between the engine and the firewall to install a set of Speed Daddy headers. We are looking to do a top swap on the 07 grand prix soon, along with an upgraded cam shaft and 90# valve springs.
I had a problem with the supplied air filter that was oil based. Oil eventually got on the MAF sensor and threw a CEL. Car ran like crap.. After cleaning the sensor and deleting the CEL a few days later it came back on. So I ditched the oil based filter and got a dry cone filter and that solved the problem. Others have stated the same problem so it's not a random thing, others said you can clean the filter of excess oil but I just ditched it. Probably some are more oily than others
You say don't put the MAF sensor next to the throttle body yet that is exactly where the factory MAF is. Now your intake wasn't stock to begin with. But good video! I plan on getting the ZZP Stage 2 kit. It's so much cheaper than buying everything separate. The down pipe and Cold air intake would pay for that. You get the PCM, belt, cold plugs and smaller pulleys.
Thank you for making this video, i have a quick question? Were you able to fit the metal spark plug boot protectors back into the ZZ Performance spark plug cables? I got some for my 02 Park Avenue Ultra and i was not able to fit those metal covers that were on the thinner stock spark plug cables. Will i be ok without them? Or should i find some that fit? Thanks again for your help. 🙏🙇♂️
I hear a lot of controversy between using them and not using them. However I side on not using them. Reason being is because the plug shields make it difficult to remove the wires when needed and they actually conduct heat more then they shield from heat. Your wire plugs will be perfectly fine with them! P.s. thanks so much for your support! Drive easy!!! 💪
Well the short dog bones are ment for helping with axel alignment after lowering ur car. However in my opinion they help to redirect the torque that moves ur engine back to the wheels and effectively making ur engine sit more upright
Ofcourse! The coils only job is to deliver a charge through the spark plug wires at the right time! Only instead with these coils it's a lot stronger charge. The point of the stronger charge is to help compensate for more air and fuel. You get to a point where u need a bigger spark at the spark plugs to ignite that reliability.
Hey I just came across a Pontiac gtp comp edition 1800 cash purple burgundy 😂I already have a Monte Carlo ss supercharged 05 red great to have two supercharged cars 💯
@@The3800Daily at this point I’ll say my Monte Carlo even tho I’m not done with mods and haven’t started on Grand Prix yet raced a v6 Camaro yesterday on the freeway they pulled up on the side and lined up then took off so I took off idk if it’s my mods or the weight too 😂i know I got more than 240 horses prolly around 250 something not sure and weight reduction
I noticed after putting in shorter dogbones from zzp have a slight vibration when stopped in drive like waitingbat red light. Did you experience same thing?
Hey if you're still around could you hit me up I just picked up a 04 Park avenue. And I'm wanting to build the car it's super clean other than a tree branch fell on hood. I know your videos show a lot but I have questions that I just wanted to ask you ???
I'm not even gonna bother to point out all the hackery and the misinformation you're giving in this video. I hope new people to this platform can figure out on their own that the shorter dog bones have nothing to do with applying torque what they are for is to raise up the transmission at the axle shafts by rocking the engine forward. This theory is for when the car's been lowered. Having said that, being that this platform uses CV axles and not U joints, it's 100% not necessary and will not prevent or fix any vibration issue. Also instead of spending money at ZZP you can go to the junkyard and get these off of any Silhouette or Montana Van.
did you notice a power increase when you installed these coils, when i got them i just felt only a little nothing much but i think zz performance coils are way better than MSD coils
Well they are not really ment for increasing power but instead reliability. When u have mods that increase air flow, which in turn increase fuel, u will need a stronger spark to reliability ignite that now denser air fuel mixture. So no no sir an increase in power prooooobably won't be felt.
I love how you did this video. With the time lapse we could actually actually see where you were doing and it was straight forward.👍🏿
Well thank you so much! I have a few really exciting videos coming later this month!

I Absolutely Love ZZ Performance ! I have some of their parts on my 07 grand prix gt. I send people to them all the time
Thats great! Mine is also an 07 GT! Thanks for tuning in!
Same here. Love that company
Makes me wanna get the shorter dog bones now for my 07 gt. And also it's always best to unhook the ground side of the battery.
Yea i understand this. Thanks for the advice tho! I have a few things wired into my ground terminal so i was trying to avoid from unhooking it all

It's gonna be a future thing I'm planning. It's part of a weight reduction series
The bolts for the coil are 5.5mm. The best engine 3800 buick.
