I had to do the same thing... Literally used 40+ ultra balls, and prob 20 others, and the entire time I was spamming potions, revives when he rested, and using shit like Storm Throw to get him low... But he had just 1 of my pokemon left(Mega Swampert) with around 50 hp, I had no revives left, and he had a sliver of hp left so I said "Fuck it" and used the Masterball.
Caught Groudon after: 5 premieres, 15 ultras, 20 greats, and 6 or 7 pokeballs thrown in for fun. I was running low, on all and had the flying legendary, Latios tanking, who was doing great, flying above his ground moves. I stabilized and was curing the burn and using moomoo milk for hp. Groudon had run out of "rest" and was low on hp so I was just rotating b/t my remaining balls, while, debating if I was going to restart the game or use the masterball when he stuck in a pokeball!! hahh!
For all of the people complaining that he used his master ball once he got groudon to yellow, he did this because he had one Pokemon left which was sceptile, having a weakness to primal groudon. He probably did not want to have to do that again, so to prevent risks, he used his master ball.

The reason for the mirage spots is that basically Hoopa is transporting them from their region to Hoenn. Read Hoopa's pokedex entries and I bet you'll think it's a pretty solid theory.

Man I still remember when I first discovered the regi trio. I was 11 and I had to figure that shit out by myself. It took months to find out that text was Braille. Then I actually painstakingly translated the text one by one to find the message. To my surprise, there were 3 brand spanking new Pokémon I’ve never heard of in my life. Looking back, young me was pretty clever but why didn’t I think to simply fuckin google what all this crap was about lol
This is the whole fun of the game you're doing it right. The harder the puzzle the more satisfying the solution. I played all the Pokemon games before ORAS like that, just following walkthroughs and let's plays... I didn't even have confidence to pick my own 6 Pokemon to fight with so I'd pick what people recommend. I finished all those games but none of them felt satisfying in the end. ORAS is the only game I went into blind and I'm glad I did.

Loved playing Pokémon when I was younger, I captured most legendaries I could on omega ruby without trading and switching games or anything. So now I’m here trying to get every legendary
Helpful tip that I never knew about until seeing it first hand is if you're trying to catch one of those time based legendary pokemon like the lake trio, if you go into the cave and get the dialogue, as long as you don't leave the cave or island you got the dialogue from then they won't disappear when the time runs out. You can just save when you get there and challenge that legendary anytime and if you just leave and return to the location at a different time or day you can get the other time based legendaries. Something I wished I knew sooner that I didn't have to rush and think if I don't catch it by today or this hour I'll have to wait again. Just make sure to save after getting the text hinting at their appearance
Yesterday, I caught Rayquaza and Deoxys - I was incredibly lucky: First try, throw Quick Ball at Rayquaza's face - caught. Deoxys appears (didn't expect that) Throw quickball.. broke free Sumpex, use earth quake, Sumpex use strength - left it at 1 pixel health (phewwwwww) Throw Dusk Ball - caught. This was so incredibly lucky. I was willing to give up my master ball for Deoxys

For anyone having trouble with the requirements for the water spirit trio, needing three pokemon with max friendship, I came up with a trick. Firstly, while not mandatory, the item lucky egg will be of some help. Using poke radar, you can get these off of Pelipper on any sea routes. I got them from route 109 south of Slateport city as soon as I got surf. You can have as many as you want, but 3 is the main deal. Now, buy 3 Luxury balls. This can be done easily in Verdanturf town for a total of 3000. Now, fly to route 101. On this route, all pokemon are level 2/3 and as long as they aren't from radar, they will have a 100% catch rate. I personally go here after buying a ton of pokeballs and grab them for some wonder trade spamming. The three possible pokemon to encounter here, Poochyena, ZigZagoon, and wurmple, have a beginning friendship of 70 each. The max frienship in the game is a score of 255, meaning they each need 185 after the point of capture. A level up gives 5 points of friendship, which would be 37 levels, or getting the pokemon to level 39/40 without fainting once. With the luxury balls however, you get a bonus point per level bring it to 6, or only 30. 8333 levels. With the EXP share on, and the the lucky eggs, the first two mega elite four battles will have your three pokemon to max happiness at level 33/34 with no trouble.Warning: by this point I had a level 100 Chesnaught who could solo the Mega Elite four if RNG was on its side. If you don't want to do the mega Elite four, or do not have a strong enough pokemon/3pokemon team, then the battle food court is a decent option. Either way, catching pokemon on route 101 in luxury balls and getting them to level up 31 times, or less if you equip one with a soothe bell while you are leveling, will grant you max happiness. Remember though, if the pokemon dies then you will drop by 1, 5, or 10 points depending on criteria and will need extra levels. For this reason you want to level them solely through the EXP Share. To summarize, 3 luxury balls, route 101, level the pokemon in the luxury ball 31 times. This simple trick can be produce 3 simultaneous pokemon with max friendship/happiness.

I was very lucky with Cresselia. The island with it was there for days in my game. I can't remember how many, but it was at least 5 days in a row. I didn't even know about it back then. It was only when i googled legendary pokemon locations i found out about it and went catching it before it was gone. In the guide i found before this one, i didn't see that it's about luck, so when you said that, i thought you were wrong, but i double checked and you were right. But i don't understand that the mirrageisland were there for me that long. But besides that, thank you for this lovely guide

Man I still remember when I first discovered the regi trio. I was 11 and I had to figure that shit out by myself. It took months to find out that text was Braille. Then I actually painstakingly translated the text one by one to find the message. To my surprise, there were 3 brand spanking new Pokémon I’ve never heard of in my life. Looking back, young me was pretty clever but why didn’t I think to simply fuckin google what all this crap was about lol

This is the whole fun of the game you're doing it right. The harder the puzzle the more satisfying the solution. I played all the Pokemon games before ORAS like that, just following walkthroughs and let's plays... I didn't even have confidence to pick my own 6 Pokemon to fight with so I'd pick what people recommend. I finished all those games but none of them felt satisfying in the end. ORAS is the only game I went into blind and I'm glad I did.

Helpful tip that I never knew about until seeing it first hand is if you're trying to catch one of those time based legendary pokemon like the lake trio, if you go into the cave and get the dialogue, as long as you don't leave the cave or island you got the dialogue from then they won't disappear when the time runs out. You can just save when you get there and challenge that legendary anytime and if you just leave and return to the location at a different time or day you can get the other time based legendaries. Something I wished I knew sooner that I didn't have to rush and think if I don't catch it by today or this hour I'll have to wait again. Just make sure to save after getting the text hinting at their appearance

First try, throw Quick Ball at Rayquaza's face - caught.
Deoxys appears (didn't expect that)

Sumpex, use earth quake, Sumpex use strength - left it at 1 pixel health (phewwwwww)

The feeling when I caught Cresselia with one ultra ball and caught Reshiram with two ultraballs. Hype hype hype
For anyone having trouble with the requirements for the water spirit trio, needing three pokemon with max friendship, I came up with a trick. Firstly, while not mandatory, the item lucky egg will be of some help. Using poke radar, you can get these off of Pelipper on any sea routes. I got them from route 109 south of Slateport city as soon as I got surf. You can have as many as you want, but 3 is the main deal. Now, buy 3 Luxury balls. This can be done easily in Verdanturf town for a total of 3000. Now, fly to route 101. On this route, all pokemon are level 2/3 and as long as they aren't from radar, they will have a 100% catch rate. I personally go here after buying a ton of pokeballs and grab them for some wonder trade spamming.
The three possible pokemon to encounter here, Poochyena, ZigZagoon, and wurmple, have a beginning friendship of 70 each. The max frienship in the game is a score of 255, meaning they each need 185 after the point of capture. A level up gives 5 points of friendship, which would be 37 levels, or getting the pokemon to level 39/40 without fainting once.
With the luxury balls however, you get a bonus point per level bring it to 6, or only 30. 8333 levels. With the EXP share on, and the the lucky eggs, the first two mega elite four battles will have your three pokemon to max happiness at level 33/34 with no trouble.Warning: by this point I had a level 100 Chesnaught who could solo the Mega Elite four if RNG was on its side. If you don't want to do the mega Elite four, or do not have a strong enough pokemon/3pokemon team, then the battle food court is a decent option. Either way, catching pokemon on route 101 in luxury balls and getting them to level up 31 times, or less if you equip one with a soothe bell while you are leveling, will grant you max happiness. Remember though, if the pokemon dies then you will drop by 1, 5, or 10 points depending on criteria and will need extra levels. For this reason you want to level them solely through the EXP Share.
To summarize, 3 luxury balls, route 101, level the pokemon in the luxury ball 31 times. This simple trick can be produce 3 simultaneous pokemon with max friendship/happiness.

I was very lucky with Cresselia. The island with it was there for days in my game. I can't remember how many, but it was at least 5 days in a row. I didn't even know about it back then. It was only when i googled legendary pokemon locations i found out about it and went catching it before it was gone. In the guide i found before this one, i didn't see that it's about luck, so when you said that, i thought you were wrong, but i double checked and you were right. But i don't understand that the mirrageisland were there for me that long. But besides that, thank you for this lovely guide
