Great video thanks for the info. Am planning on ordering a 2024 F250 or 350 Tremor and putting my 2008 Tundra out to pasture 306,000 miles and still going strong but ready for something new. Have been waffling back and forth about Diesel versus gas and this gives me something to think about. One Ford has done starting in 2023 is the only diesel engine you can get with the Tremor is the High Output diesel which is about another 2500 dollars more than the 6.7L diesel. Would be wary of a first generation new engine. Don't need to tow anything just ready to have another big truck. All about want not need.
I'm in the same boat you are. Nice thing I've learned on the 6.7 HO is is only changing the turbo to a water cooled. Doesn't sound like anything in the motor is changing. But I'm also back and forth on the gas vs diesel. Decided on the 350 though. Best of luck on the truck.
This truck is what I want to get in the next 3-4 years, it makes perfect sense to get the gas, the diesels don’t really make a big difference until you get to the dually’s. As well if you aren’t regularly towing with it all the added operating costs make less sense.
My understanding is that the (regular trim not tremor trim) f350 and f250 are identical trucks. Just the leaf spring pack in the back is different (heavier duty on the 350) and the rear pumpkin is different (larger on the 350). But the internals are the same. The larger size helps with cooling it. Really good info. Thanks for sharing about the tailgate extender.
Love it. ❤️ Thank you for such a good video👌I want to buy one of these babies. I've researched a lot about ford 250 this one was very different from them. Thank you ❤️
I've got a 2017 6.2L gas towing my GD 2800BH at about 6300lbs and it struggles on the longer hills in PA with the tach close to 5k going over 42mph. Flat land is no trouble. Will go with a 7.3 in the next couple years.
Im in PA too, its one thing to tow on flat ground, but in pa your constantly climbing or decending grades! I hate the saying "you cant even tell its back there" maybe on flat ground, but come to pa, you'll know its back there clear as day, my tundra gets WORKED towing anything significant
One compromise, fuel cost. I’m still dying for one, but hard to tell what’s going to happen to fossil fuels with this incompetent government. Probably still worth the risk haha
My 2022 Ram 2500 was in the shop almost every 6 to 8 months always something emission, damn mass air intake light came on every couple weeks. Traded on a 7.3L and completely happy. Unless you’re able to delete them, the newer diesels are worthless.
Most people that buy these have never driven a truck with offroad tires. Mt and aggressive at tires absolutely need to wear in. That wandering feeling is totally normal with a knobby tire for the first couple hundred miles.

After a year it looks like you have put on just over 13,000 miles. I average at least 20K/year. My current vehicle is a Toyota Sequoia with just over 280,000 miles. Been looking at this truck, but after reading about the transmission issues I'm concerned about the long-term reliability of a Ford. My Toyota has been trouble free and I wonder whether this truck would be as reliable long term. I've driven some high mileage Ford and GM trucks and IMO, they don't run a tight as my Toyota does. I'm talking about things like steering and driveline play. Also my Toyota still makes good compression, idles smooth and I've had no issues with the transmission or transfer case. My vehicle is also still rust-free, and that's after several Minnesota winters where in this state the DOT salts the roads to help melt the ice, that's saying something about the undercoating. I have a mid size Compact Track Loader that weighs approximately 7,000 lbs. I want to be able to pull that CTL to jobs on a regular basis using a 3,000 lbs equipment trailer. Can't do it with the Toyota. But what keeps me from pulling the trigger is the worry that this truck won't be as reliable after 100,000 miles. I have no previous experience with Ford ... it's just a gut feeling. The tremor is expensive, and I want to be assured that a purchase would be money well spent.
Quite a few of the “big 3” have hd trucks running around with over 100k on them. A lot depends on how well they were maintained during their life. A tundra could just about meet your towing needs, but it would be right at the top end of their rating (on current models). Maybe Toyota will up their capacities for the new tundra coming out. As far as the tremor goes, if your not off-roading, the tremor package is probably overkill. You could go with a more basic package & save some cash. They have a basic off-road off road packages and most items are available without going all in on the tremor package.
It always how you maintain your vehicles. It service s fleet with all Ford's, E350 5.4 and T 350.3.5 turbos. The some E350s are over 600,000 miles. The T350s are hitting 300,000 miles now. These are contractions that always overload their trucks. Maintenance is the key. Don't skip fluid changes and don't use the recommend intervals. Do it sooner not later.
@@nm-qt2hb agreed. Our Master Tech with over 35 years experience who is 1 of only 50 techs in the country that has the certifications he has stresses that the 8 speed and up need to be serviced every 40k miles.
Looks like a good application in your area. Here on west coast mountains I’d be getting 4 mpg and would be wound up to 4500 rpm which would drive me bat shit crazy. Love my Cummins for my application and tow loads and no issues other than normal maintenance.. Thks for the video.
You know how you know someone has a Cummins? Just wait a second and they will tell you all about it. Also sorry, I hope it is an old Ram. I wouldn't wish a French/Italian truck on my worst enemy.
Does the tremor package increase or decreease payload, GCVW & towing capacity, vs the non tremor, just regular on road package. I tow 16k to 18k behind truck, skid steer and excavators
Absolutely love the American Flag on your truck, big props! Sold me on a subscription also lol I think you just sold me to get a F250 Tremor. Was waiting on the Bronco Black Diamond, but Ford keeps saying "Supply Problems" due to the Wuhan Weezer crap
Only complaint is i wish they included a sport mode in place of the eco mode. Eco mode saves me .7/.8 mpg by remapping the shift points and throttle sensitivity. For a big bore thumper over 7k lbs on 35s and 4.30s and sits about 7 ft tall the eco mode is useless. Its not ever getting good mpg. I wish they put in a sport mode in place instead. That 7.3 is wild. Would like to see a remapping angle that emphasizes a spirited experience for those "special" occasions🙃
There is a sport mode. Double click the traction control button on the top left above the touch screen. It’ll go into sport mode. It might take you a few time to get the timing of the double clicks, but it’s there
@@jrod2500 huh, really? My 20 Tremor is the same as my '18 mustang GT. One click is traction control off. 8 second hold is stability control off. I havent found any other uses for that button. Ill see if i can duplicate what u say
Great video just don't care to see all the extra items I'm just interested in getting it for my next work truck for my business was glad to see you where not biest on brand before purchase
You have the most informative tremor videos on you tube. Do you have the adaptive steering?? What are your thoughts either way on it. I have a 2022 on order and on the fence of adding it. Thank you
Thanks! I don't have the adaptive steering so I cant speak to it. I can say that I don't see what the need for it would be. The truck turns easy peasy.
I have read negative threads on the internet regarding the Adaptive Steering. Keep in mind, not as many people post positive comments. So, probably most people who have this option experience no issues. However, the Adaptive Steering is a relative new technology, so long term reliability and durability are unknown. All repairs I have read about so far have been under warranty. I would estimate great possibility for high future out of warranty repair costs. Most important, if the Adaptive Steering malfunctions, will the truck still be drivable without being repaired??? It is possible the owner of a truck equipped with the Adaptive Steering option might be faced with one of two of the following choices. For owners who replace their used trucks with new trucks frequently, and / or prior to warranty expiration, might not be faced with the choices listed below. 1. Incur the potential for very expensive repair costs 2. Take value time searching for a standard steering column for a Lariat, King Ranch or Platinum truck without the Adaptive Steering option...and then still incur expensive labor costs for the steering column swap. The steering wheel and columns on XL and XLT trucks are quite different...most of those trucks do not have the Adaptive Steering option...so, could be somewhat difficult in locating a steering column form a salvage yard. For the above reasons, I did not include the Adaptive Steering option on the order of my truck - 2022 F350 Lariat 7.3L with UP, BAP and Tremor Package with winch. In similar fashion, I also did not order the Twin Panel Moonroof option...open / close tracking issues, potential for leaks, maintenance - lubrication, rubber seals, etc. In addition, I read problems with Adaptive Cruise Control after the installation of the Warn winch...so I axed that option as well. I previously had both the Adaptive Steering and Adaptive Cruise Control options on a 2019 Super Duty. Although both features are kinda / sorta neat, both of these options seem to be very expensive for what they do. Have not used cruise control much the last several years because of crowded highways and interstates. On top of that, when I can use it, I prefer not to use it while towing in the hills and mountains in the Rocky Mountain states.
I’d take the 7.3 gasser over a smogged out diesel any day. Unless you’re pulling commercially every day you cannot recoup the cost to keep them serviced and running. Loose just one injector pump in a 6.7 and you have lost about 10-12 grand by the time the damage is done.
Yep. About to trade in my '12 Ram, only because its got 250k and I don't pull as much as I used to. The 7.3 seems like a good option for my needs, but really worried about the trans/recalls though. Still blown away that the big 3 moved to CP4!
I am sick of maintaining my HD diesel. I just ordered a 7.3 Tremor. Towing a less weight now but living in Colorado at high altitude. Hope you all are are right.
Excellent video. A couple of things that keeps me away from the Tremor, is the short bed ( I carry motorcycles and prefer being able to close the tail gate), and because of the short bed, not getting the 48 gal. fuel tank. Towing a travel trailer, I want the range afforded by the larger fuel cell. Do you know of any aftermarket options to get around this issue?
@@clarkscottkent It makes good sense for Three Reasons: 1. Crew Cab 4WD trucks with the 8 foot pickup bed would not be very agile off-road. 2. In addition, probably not many customers would purchase that configuration (Tremor Package with 8 foot pickup bed) even if Ford offered it. 3. Last but not least, multiple truck configurations increase production costs because it slows down the assembly line. People who have always been an employee and have never owned a business often do not realize the reasons why some products are not manufactured and offered for sale. I do share your frustration because I would like to purchased a fuel transfer tank and tool box combo (like the RDS product) AND a short version of a tonneau cover (Bakflip MX4, Peragon or Diamondback), but it seems that need cannot be filled at this time. My only hope is if RDS will go back to making custom units that will fit under a bed cover.
Thank you for the info I have a truck on order I hope. It was supposed to be started this week. I have a 02 ram 1500 great truck but struggles pulling my new heavier boat. The tire info is good to know.

I am kind of surprised your transmission hasn't gone out yet. Ford's seem to have lots of transmission issues. Coworker has had to have his replaced at 18k miles. He is at 37k and starting to have issues again. He doesn't even tow with the vehicle. Just be sure to buy the max amount of warranty. You will more than likely need it multiple times.
Anyone know if they are going back to the factory to have the trans replaced? I don't trust most dealerships.... I've worked in a few and its insane that you buy a new truck that cost more than a starter home and already have so many recalls.
Kind of makes you wonder if these 10 speeds have true long term durability! These trucks are work horses and should last at least 20 years before any major issues come up.
Excellent video, man. Great tire info and wobbly at speed when new. I have 800 miles on mine and the tires have gotten a lot better. I'm going to air them down when not towing. You've got me interested in that factory bed extender. (Is that a giant yucca over your right shoulder when you're in front of the truck?) Guys on the forum have been talking about exhaust systems? You have any plans for your's?
Thanks for the compliments! Yes that is a yucca, I have about 10 of them in my yard which is about 1.5 acres. I have 52 trees total on top of that! They all make me work when I trim in the winter time. No plans for exhaust right now, but I have been looking at the "MBRP" I think that's it?
@@BigBoyToyzz expensive, but I believe it's true dual exhaust. I'm looking at the version with black tips. I don't want to void my warranty and I've spent too much already on this truck for a while.

Now they want to all go to Arizona, as well. Bet you can tell were from California!) I was thinking about a used 2019 F 250 with gas and a six speed. I'm getting a lite weight Dune Sport toy hauler, probably about 24 feet. I noticed you said you once had a Tundra. For a 24 foot Dune Sport, would that be OK? I am now a Toyota man myself coming over form Chevy and Ford many years ago. I would probably get a 2021 Tundra. Any comments? Thank. Roy, So Cal.
Hey Roy and sorry for the late reply. The Tundra has such a low payload I can almost bet you would be over. I loved my Tundra but definitely was not made to tow anything with a heavy payload which most RV/TOY Hauler/5th wheels are. The Fords are really nice Tow pigs and will serve you well. Nothing compares to Toyota Quality, but unfortunately they don't make anything heavy duty. They would own the market if they did.
I think the Tremor has the camper or high Capacity package standard. However the payload sticker won't reflect that. So if you're worried about legalities, that may me a sticking point.
I have looked at upgrading to a HD from my F150 for towing my camper. The only advantage for me with the diesel is being able to use the big rig diesel pumps at the gas stations when we are towing on the highway. Have you run into issues at gas stations with your set up?
@@BigBoyToyzz thanks. We don’t have as many I have found on the east coast, but I think they are starting to install more of them. Did you get the big fuel tank on yours? I imagine that makes a huge difference as well

7.3L GODZILLA DECALS
My understanding is that the (regular trim not tremor trim) f350 and f250 are identical trucks. Just the leaf spring pack in the back is different (heavier duty on the 350) and the rear pumpkin is different (larger on the 350). But the internals are the same. The larger size helps with cooling it.
Really good info. Thanks for sharing about the tailgate extender.
Love it. ❤️ Thank you for such a good video👌I want to buy one of these babies. I've researched a lot about ford 250 this one was very different from them. Thank you ❤️
Just ordered a 2022 tremor with the 7.3 a couple days ago. It'll be February before I see it I bet but I'm definitely stoked!
You mentioned a generator you have, Ford needs to offer the hybrid version like the offer on the F-150 in the 7.3. That would be awesome
Yes it would!
I thought about the same. Since it’s a gas motor. And adding to that. An HD lighting. Imagine that.

Thanks, you too!
I've got a 2017 6.2L gas towing my GD 2800BH at about 6300lbs and it struggles on the longer hills in PA with the tach close to 5k going over 42mph. Flat land is no trouble. Will go with a 7.3 in the next couple years.
Check my channel for my towing videos. You'll like the 7.3
Im in PA too, its one thing to tow on flat ground, but in pa your constantly climbing or decending grades! I hate the saying "you cant even tell its back there" maybe on flat ground, but come to pa, you'll know its back there clear as day, my tundra gets WORKED towing anything significant
Looked at a 2020 7.3 today....looks like I’ll be getting it now :)
The Tremor is just an overall no compromise truck fun looks play work and tow.
One compromise, fuel cost. I’m still dying for one, but hard to tell what’s going to happen to fossil fuels with this incompetent government. Probably still worth the risk haha
Great video. I have the 2021 7.3 Tremor the velocity blue. Love it
My 2022 Ram 2500 was in the shop almost every 6 to 8 months always something emission, damn mass air intake light came on every couple weeks. Traded on a 7.3L and completely happy. Unless you’re able to delete them, the newer diesels are worthless.

Koodo's to the

Right on!

@@jeffs2809 2022 Tundra is going 6 lug for better towing. Nothing runs like a Toyota but, I'm blue oval for life when it comes to trucks.
I wouldn't wish a French/Italian truck on my worst enemy.
very informative, thanks!
That is one sexy truck. How many miles per tank of gas. Have you ever had an issue of fuel capacity when rving?
I have one on order, and it has a 50 gallon tank. I am anticipating 10mpg while towing.
@@roywall8169 Ford does not offer a 50 gallon tank...only 34 gallon and 48 gallon fuel tanks.
Does the tremor package increase or decreease payload, GCVW & towing capacity, vs the non tremor, just regular on road package. I tow 16k to 18k behind truck, skid steer and excavators
Check out this video. Hope it helps. ua-cam.com/video/RsDODzaHmXs/v-deo.html
Absolutely love the American Flag on your truck, big props! Sold me on a subscription also lol
I think you just sold me to get a F250 Tremor.

Awesome review!
1. Incur the potential for very expensive repair costs
I'm in Colorado...some companies are getting 1300 hp from supercharging the 7.3
@@dynasty2295 what companies??
Im a ram guy but i would buy this over ram with 6.4, due to payload and pulling power.
I email Ford regularly asking for them to offer the Tremor package with the 8' bed...makes no sense
@@clarkscottkent It makes good sense for Three Reasons:
There are some long bed Tremors here in Michigan. I’ve seen 4. Not sure if they were a test.
Palm Beach dyno just did heads and cam and got 450 wheel hp. If you plan to mod..
I seen that! Bad a$$!

Ford recalled them and replaced them
@@stephenhusak6098 That's good. I know all manufacturers have issues. But some years, people just have terrible luck.
Anyone know if they are going back to the factory to have the trans replaced? I don't trust most dealerships.... I've worked in a few and its insane that you buy a new truck that cost more than a starter home and already have so many recalls.
GM is having a lot more issues with theirs.
Kind of makes you wonder if these 10 speeds have true long term durability! These trucks are work horses and should last at least 20 years before any major issues come up.
I never had a problem with my panoramic roof but then I don’t keep my trucks more than 2 years.

Now they want to all go to Arizona, as well. Bet you can tell were from California!) I was thinking about a used 2019 F 250 with gas and a six speed.
@@BigBoyToyzz Much appreciated. Have a good day.
How does the tremor package compare to the camper package. Is one better than the other for towing 10k trailer with golf cart in the bed?
I think the Tremor has the camper or high Capacity package standard. However the payload sticker won't reflect that. So if you're worried about legalities, that may me a sticking point.
I must say, the sunroof is nice but I kind of wish mine didn’t have it. I hate that it lowers the head clearance inside the truck.

I have looked at upgrading to a HD from my F150 for towing my camper. The only advantage for me with the diesel is being able to use the big rig diesel pumps at the gas stations when we are towing on the highway. Have you run into issues at gas stations with your set up?
Not at all. Seems most highway gas stations have RV Gas pumps. At least out here anyway.
