Are you crazy? The 1/4" is diameter, not length. XLR is balanced, not stereo. Once I heard the misinformation about the plugs, I completely disregarded the rest of it. He doesn't have a clue.
HAHA, That was the first thing I said to myself..., then after he says the all the xlr inputs are stereo cause they are balanced in stereo I also tuned out.
@pbcasttv I have a ? I use fl studio for producing tracks. I just purchased the x2222 with a pair of krk rokit5 studio monitors. How would I hook it all up and get it to work on my laptop and will it all work with fl studio?
so it's working as an interface? with the ability of multitrack recording? Compatible with Cubase, Audition etc.? How much (separated) tracks can I record simultaneously? All the 8 microphone channels? (I want to use it for drum recordings on 8 separated tracks)
@thewonkhotline How come you can then record multitrack with a usb soundcard? I´m just wondering why, is it easier with clean signal as with a sound card to the computer than with a usbmixer or how does that work?
XLR MONO is balanced. XLR stereo is unbalanced. TRS or quarter inch with tip, ring, sleeve or used as balanced is MONO TRS or quarter inch with tip, ring, sleeve (balanced cable) used for stereo is unbalanced.
@solohelltown yeah lad, a mixer (interface) doesnt rely on your DAW unless it is designed specifically for it.. just hook everything up and connect the main output to the KRK's by either TRS, RCA or XLR depending what you have.. go into your audio setting in FL and choose Behringer ASIO.. i dont have this mixer so i dont know if thats what it is called in there but it wont be far off that.. then on the mixer in fl set your output on the master and your good to go...
was making a joke, since his router is sitting so close to his behringer it looks like it is plugged into it, bad joke but i thought it was amusing at the time@@davidmulholland6054
Chanel 1 ... Can pan left and right and has a stereo line in correct ? but if you plug in a mic to chanel 1 its a mono line that has become stereo because you can now pan the mic left and right ?...
This is a joke; don't pretend you know what you're talking about buddy. I can't believe this is the best review of this mixer on UA-cam...Hey everybody who actually wants to learn more about this mixer: I'm going to buy it in about a month or two, I'll probably post a review of it then.
So if I have 8 xlr mics for my drumkit can I than still plug in another 3 1/4 inch jacks and cave the same mixing and effects options for them??? Plz answer
Hey, did you put out another video with more details & functions on this desk yet? I'd be interested in seeing it as i'm having some trouble recording my drum kit using the x2222 usb & Audacity, thanks dude
That mixer is garbage I sent it back to guitar center no cubase don't work on it i thank pro tools work on it but it give you a hard time setting it up
i put effect on the speakers that i have make conecctión in the main out but i cant listen the effect in the returns from aux send , maybe is possible to have effect in the returns whitout external effect procesor? thanks and sorry by my english,
@thewonkhotline Not quite what i meant. I meant a usbsoundcard yes, but not using a hub. One USBcable straight from the card to the computer, and 8 separate channels outout in the DAW. This soundcard for example work in that way: I don´t know why the mixer isn´t programmed the same way. From the page you can also see that USB 2.0 i faster than firewire 400. But firewire can be better for multirackrecordning anyway.
I could send the link, but i was talking about the M-audio Fast Track Ultra 8R. If you search for that you can get the info i was talking about from the m-audio site.
@EarlMendoza03 That entirely depends on your buffer size in the software you use to record, and hopw low you can drop your buffer size depends on your pc's CPU. Most modern mixers (interfaces) are designed well enough to handle most of the buffering but there are still some that will require alot of CPU to allow for zero latency
@thewonkhotline Yeah, in the future all soundcards propably have USB 3.0, it´s so much faster, then you would not have problem with bandwith and such. Btw, i meant that i Couldn´t send the link, but i think you understood :D
Balanced is not the same as stereo, even though it can be used for stereo audio. There's noise and impedance differences between balanced XLR and unbalanced quarter inch. XLR Mono is balanced, XLR stereo is unbalanced. Just because it's a XLR doesn't mean it's stereo. XLR are mainly MONO. That's one XLR per channel. And the MONO quarter inch contacts are tip and sleeve. There's a balanced quarter inch too, and still MONO. But they are used often for stereo. The contacts on the balanced or stereo quarter inch plug are tip, ring, sleeve. I'm guessing you don't really know that much about audio. The signal in an XLR is between the + and -, not the ground or common, that's for the shield. just to make it simple to visualize, its balanced between the + and ground and - and ground. unless like in a mic its wired between the + and ground and that makes it umbalanced. Balanced is a low impedance or 600 ohms, that's 600 ohms for both input and output impedance, and unbalanced is a high impedance input. (kohms). Its balanced output to balanced input, or low impedance output to high impedance input. The theory is for maximum power transfer. You never want the output impedance higher than the input impedance because more signal will be dropped across the output impedance, that means lower input signal. That's why there's balanced and high Z inputs. Balanced has less noise. And usually use twisted pairs and the shield is common or ground. And if the XLR or balanced is wired wrong or a wire comes off, you lose either 3dB (0.5 or half) or 6dB (half of the half, 0.75 or 3/4) loss of the signal. You shouldn't tell people incorrect information because they will think its true and tell others the wrong thing too.
Hello..... Buh-ringer. Sounds like a nice deal with compression on 8 channels makes recording a no-brainer especially with the USB recording software interface. I found em new online @$299.sumpin and they say the recording software including DAW/instruments is free from their site. I was going to pay around that just for 4x4 in/out and no hands on mixer/knobs. Competitive value in there. nice show but, thought I'd see you use the software for recording. Kewdoes. Wait all......SORRY... this deal is good but it is only stereo I/O over to computer. But, you can still mix the basic tune and record anything else on other tracks/channels separately. I really want 8 record and out or even 4. Bigger Dinero I guess.
I don't think so... 'Cause this mixer only has an USB interface... Not Firewire... If you want firewire, get a ICON xD But you can use this with condenser mics, the phantom button is on the back of the board n.n I mean, the data speed will not be the same as Firewire, but it will work :)
@HeyStupidFlanders There are loads of forums that have threads on setting up a home studio, chances are someone there would know, Google and UA-cam also have allot on people setting up their equipment so you can just see what they do and copy it.
Why would you waste time producing and publishing this video? The only interesting piece of information I gained was completely unrelated (archive.org).
1st channels are mono not stereo ! You said other incorrect statements also. Please stop doing these and I heard you say that you probably wouldn't do it correctly and you were correct.
I had that mixer for like about a week and I took it back to guitar center I did not like that mixer didn't meet the expectations that I wanted if you not doing a stage show or a band do not get this mixer if you want to make songs get a fast track Pro don't spend all that money on this get a Fast track pro they got a bundle pack that come with the monitors headphone mic stand microphone and everything you need to make music but stay the hell away from this Behringer it is garbage
XLR does not mean it's stereo, inserts are not for adding sound sources. About half of what this guys says is dead wrong. He should stick to unboxing.
No Kiddin' LOL
Are you crazy? The 1/4" is diameter, not length. XLR is balanced, not stereo. Once I heard the misinformation about the plugs, I completely disregarded the rest of it. He doesn't have a clue.
1/4 " is the diameter not length.
Ya.... I tuned out and moved along as soon as he said it :/
HAHA, That was the first thing I said to myself..., then after he says the all the xlr inputs are stereo cause they are balanced in stereo I also tuned out.
@@bloom6124 Same here! And the distance between his thumb and index finger in the video was like two inches. I was like, “Whaaaaat?”
1/4" means that is the thickness (Diameter) of the plugin connector. that is about 11 mm.
Its called a quarter inch because it's a quarter inch diameter, not long.
You can hear in both ears on headphone when using 1 1/4" jack. That's what the pan knob is for
@pbcasttv I have a ? I use fl studio for producing tracks. I just purchased the x2222 with a pair of krk rokit5 studio monitors. How would I hook it all up and get it to work on my laptop and will it all work with fl studio?
Hi, do you still need an amp to put these through to use Live?
so it's working as an interface? with the ability of multitrack recording? Compatible with Cubase, Audition etc.? How much (separated) tracks can I record simultaneously? All the 8 microphone channels? (I want to use it for drum recordings on 8 separated tracks)
@thewonkhotline How come you can then record multitrack with a usb soundcard? I´m just wondering why, is it easier with clean signal as with a sound card to the computer than with a usbmixer or how does that work?
Hi can this mixer be used instead of a interface to mike my drum kit.im new to this stuff thanks
XLR MONO is balanced.
XLR stereo is unbalanced.
TRS or quarter inch with tip, ring, sleeve or used as balanced is MONO
TRS or quarter inch with tip, ring, sleeve (balanced cable) used for stereo is unbalanced.
Work whit ableton live ? It have long delay effect ?
Inserts are not for inserting more sound sources , 1/4' inch input size with ur fingers ?
Hi, is this mixer suitable for recording 4 mics at a time (E.G Drums) Could i use this mixer alone straight into a mac? Please help?
@solohelltown yeah lad, a mixer (interface) doesnt rely on your DAW unless it is designed specifically for it.. just hook everything up and connect the main output to the KRK's by either TRS, RCA or XLR depending what you have.. go into your audio setting in FL and choose Behringer ASIO.. i dont have this mixer so i dont know if thats what it is called in there but it wont be far off that.. then on the mixer in fl set your output on the master and your good to go...
1/4" long? you must have the plug confused with something else...
The Linksys router sounds amazing through that mixer.
What is that for?
was making a joke, since his router is sitting so close to his behringer it looks like it is plugged into it, bad joke but i thought it was amusing at the time@@davidmulholland6054
Chanel 1 ... Can pan left and right and has a stereo line in correct ?
but if you plug in a mic to chanel 1 its a mono line that has become stereo because you can now pan the mic left and right ?...
I know this video is super old...but as soon as he said "it's called a 1/4" cuz its a 1/4" long..." I clicked away lol
This is a joke; don't pretend you know what you're talking about buddy. I can't believe this is the best review of this mixer on UA-cam...Hey everybody who actually wants to learn more about this mixer: I'm going to buy it in about a month or two, I'll probably post a review of it then.
Hey... he tried. I can tell he’s a really nice guy.
It’s better than the video I “didn’t make” about.. umm anything - lol
The behringer xenyx x2222usb records multitrack?
So if I have 8 xlr mics for my drumkit can I than still plug in another 3 1/4 inch jacks and cave the same mixing and effects options for them??? Plz answer
Hey, did you put out another video with more details & functions on this desk yet? I'd be interested in seeing it as i'm having some trouble recording my drum kit using the x2222 usb & Audacity, thanks dude
Does it need amp for live performances?
to connect a wireless microphone 4 of them what cable should I use?
dude can you record with mic condenser connecterd to the mixer by firewire to logic or pro tools?
USB meaning you can record on your music on your computer right using A DAW?
is there latency on recording with this mixer?
can i set eqs for every single track on garage band?
Is it possible to use with Garage band?
does it have phantom power?
Can we as Band use it for recording with cubase? And how is the quality?
+Bagmaster1991 You could, but you will also need an audio interface.
That mixer is garbage I sent it back to guitar center no cubase don't work on it i thank pro tools work on it but it give you a hard time setting it up
When you go mixer to daw does it recognize all of your channels?
i put effect on the speakers that i have make conecctión in the main out but i cant listen the effect in the returns from aux send , maybe is possible to have effect in the returns whitout external effect procesor? thanks and sorry by my english,
"We did our lights with a donation" - it's a clip-on lamp with paper on it? Lol
wow it's amazing how wrong you can be.
que amplificador me recomienda para usar con esta mixer?

You know this video was old of how he mentioned Twitch.tv’s old address
amigo la interfaz funciona para los 8 canales independientes , quiero comprar una para grabar baterias.
How come when I try to turn the mic on a channel the volume didn't change
prolly got the compressor on and need to turn up the overall volume and get everything else underneath that channel!
does it work with garage band on mbp
does this have phantom power
Hi! Can you do multitrack recording without an interface?
Thanks!

Man i use adobe audion cs6 and only recognize 2 mic, i want to record with all channels independent, if you can help me.
analogue to usb converter, lol

You have so much incorrect information
@solohelltown Also drop the buffer size on the asio as much as you can to get zero latency or as close to as possible without destroying audio.
I don't think so... 'Cause this mixer only has an USB interface... Not Firewire... If you want firewire, get a ICON xD But you can use this with condenser mics, the phantom button is on the back of the board n.n I mean, the data speed will not be the same as Firewire, but it will work :)
The feedback is a little scary. I'l look around. Read the manual Friend. Also, this must be old. Get rid out that router. Can be hacked so easy !
Goood bro, ty
@ganjaking187 yeah all channels come with a 48v Phantom option

You need more light to see better on video.

lol sounds like his name said "that nigga jones" hahaah
@pbcasttv para esta mixer para sacarla por los altavoz
i feel bad for people watching this video who believe what he is saying.
A 1/4" cable is called that because it's 'a quarter inch long'... Seriously?
You guys not really know much about pro audio do you.
behringer x2222usb
Looking for good info on the X2222? Move on.. this guy actually gives WRONG INFORMATION about this unit.
Lost me at 1/4 inch long.
1st channels are mono not stereo ! You said other incorrect statements also. Please stop doing these and I heard you say that you probably wouldn't do it correctly and you were correct.

@AdamSomersMusic Ok Thanks Man
Why do people bother making videos when they haven't the first clue what theyre talking about.
You don't have a clue bro, give it up. Talk about a subject you're familiar with.
I agree 100%. You have to possess proper knowledge of audio engineering to understand any mixer.
@WeirdFreeko IT woul be cool!!
ta bonitaaaa *-*
You have no idea, learn about what you are trying to teach then the review won't be pointless
@hiian123 yes
