That little smile on Chris's face after working out the ghost says it all. Chris you are one clever chap well done.
Will never understand how you car mechanics can pull apart these most complicated of jigsaws and then put them back together again with no pieces left over.
Lovely manicured hedges you have on the yard road.
Glad to see your gamble worked out.
Though you do realise if you solve the issues with the immobilizer, you're going to have to change your title to "ghost busters" 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣that`s a 10/10 👍
Brilliant.😂
Who ya gonna call?
You win the Internet today 🤣🤣
Git back shadrack let the boys through
Chris has come a long way. For UA-cam, I can remember when Chris wouldn't get in front of the camera. Once again, we'll done. 👍
Loving the smile on Chris’ face after he puts it in gear for the first under power move. Mint.
To do this on the floor without a ramp is outstanding work and skill. Well done, so pleased for you both to get this back up and running 👍
Are you sure Chris is not cloned with a computer he is a very clever man, its a real pleasure to watch and listen to him ,looking forward to sunday
On mine to check the oil I need to have it parked on level ground. Engine off for a minimum of 10 minutes to cool and drain to the bottom, the with the drivers door open, press engine start button with no foot on the brake so it don't start. Then go into the check oil menu and the level will display. You want the level just above the middle (so below FULL mark). Great series as always 👍👍
Wow guys I ❤️❤️❤️❤️ your videos I’m 72 now and even I’m my younger days I would tackle big jobs like this but this was AWSOME Great video series👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
Honestly, is there anything Chris can’t do? That ghost would have been bugging him so much. Massive well done Chris
As I’ve always say Chris is a magician. You don’t find people as clever as that. I love messing around with Cars. I always have but have I always said you are a team and a very good team. Make a very good living at what you do. I wish you all the best.
I’m regularly in awe of Chris’ ability. I’d have ZERO issues buying a car from these guys!
What a guy Chris is nothing fazes him he was determined to get that problem solved and he did , epic video guys huge well done both.
I never doubted your ability to get this Range Rover running again. Chris is very tenacious and does not give up on a problem, I know from experience that sorting out modern vehicle electrical systems is very stressful, it’s so easy to make a mistake and blow up a module.
The look on Chris’s face after the little boot up the yard 🤣🤣🤣 he liked that didn’t he.
put a fully grown man behined a powerfull engine and see the inner child appear ...love it guys keep these videos coming
Every credit to you both, great series.
Well done guys. Yes full refund if it does not work, but a hell of a lot of work fitting. You guys took the risk and came out smiling, literally.
Played for and got.
Had a tear in my eye watching that magnificent Car come to life. All I can say is what a brilliant job you have done. I watch all your vids but rarely comment, however that deserves a comment. You are Auto Magicians.
This Chris Guy knows his stuff!
Absolutely chuffed to bits for you lads. Fair play to Chris for sticking with that Ghost and sorting it. It sounds phenomenal!
Great result Guys 😊 You both looked like gangsters in the LR on the test drive lol 😂 As always you wouldn’t let a car go unless it’s spot on 👍🏻 That’s why salvage rebuilds is the best on UA-cam 🤩
That is the biggest smile I have ever seen on Chris’ face..!..well done boys - what perseverance..
Chris looks well happy behind the wheel .......
Absolutely knocked it out the park. It was great to see the smiles on your faces after all the hard graft and hoirs you both put in. Maximum respect to the both of you🎉🎉🎉❤❤
What a relief. Sounds a great engine .Chris never gives up.
If nothing else, it proves just how much digging you have to do on the Internet to get information that is actually relevant and in date. It's a great success - again! Well done.
Looking forward to when you button up all the little things what an awesome vehicle.
Nice work boys 👊
Claire is going to love that car Rob, well done for all your research Chris, top blokes and great outcome well done both
The determination and patience that Chris has is astounding
Well done
"OH YOU'LL KNOW." ...... that could be the quote of the week.
😆
Car Theft Solutions were the folk who fitted the ghost in my VW. Brilliant service at the time of fitting, explained it fully. Had a couple of questions afterward which were answered very promptly. Definitely recommend them for anyone in the Birmingham area. They will be fitting any future Ghost I need.
Chris is a master of his trade. Well done guys
I wish Chris was my local mechanic.
Don'cha just love it when a plan comes together! Great to see that once Chris gets hold of a problem, you know it will be only a matter of time before he comes up with a solution. Looks like Rob's got few phone calls to make to locate the missing bits.
it needs to be cold to check the oil..........chris's face and smile when he first drove it 🙂
Yes Johny!!! It runs, good result!
I'm calling it now when they do the numbers one of the boys is keeping that
The V8 noise touched em deep 😂
You struck gold there boys well done
Well done guys...
Unfortunately I won't ever buy another one of these I've had a few all of them have been over serviced to try and have the best available...
All have had major issues and been a total pain..
Only for the brave or for those with
A spare car and deep pockets.
Quality video as all ways lads the smiles on your faces when rob booted it was like 2kids in a sweet shop allowed to pick what they wanted. Love seeing you too happy at nearly a end result lovely car and what a nice sound❤👏🏻
One can only be impressed of how carefull Chris is investigating all kind og sources in order to get a difficult problem being solved.
Lovely job. If you've started the vehicle then checking oil level can only be done after you have switched off the engine and waited 10-15 mins. Else you need to open the bonnet and driver door, you can then check oil level in ‘service mode’
Chris is so determined, I will not be defeated, should be his motto, , brilliant post guys totally delighted for you both
He’s a clever stick that Chris! Well done for persevering!
18:01 the smile on his face says at all 😊
Those Range Rovers look amazing but I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole.RELIABILITY.😢
Love watching skilled men at work. The Range Rover SVR is an amazing motor. Great video look forward to the next one
I remember when an immobiliser was a hidden toggle switch spliced into the ignition coil and hidden in the car somewhere 😅
😂 mine had a key switch in the boot of a mk2 astra and my mk5 escort was immobilised by taking out the fuel pump fuse! Simpler times 😂
What a great ending, such a lot of work but well worth the result.
I had exactly the same with my Autobiography. I read and read so many sites and eventually learned the same. Although I had the correct disarm code, as it was shared when I bought it, I wanted to add bluetooth to my phone to disarm. In my case, it needed 'cruise control cancel' to get me in as opposed to high beam flash. it eventually worked. Nice one chaps! Looks like JLR products are a little bit of an anomoly!
Chris has amazing problem solving skills! Top job guys
I would venture to suggest that some LR Dealers would struggle to sort a job like this out! You guys know all the intricacies of the trim parts and the architecture of the vehicle and how it all fits together. Techs in the dealerships only have limited knowledge for servicing. Well done lad fantastic content 👍🇬🇧😎
@georgedaville4662. The so - called “techs” at the LR dealers are mainly “fitters”. If they can’t cure a fault by analysis i.e. work out the problem, they fit (usually expensive) parts. Stay safe and well.
Another blinding job lads ,open and honest and transparent keep them coming ❤videos
Excellent diagnosis, Chris your approach is a methodical, On-par with a detective. Yet anther first rate repair,……rebuild.
Wat a man! Nothing beats Chris 😂
Great job. It is shocking that the Ghost people didn’t know how to set the PIN.
What a beautiful car good old Cris sorting out the immobiliser looking forward to seeing the next video 👍👌
Top job boys. Chapeau to Chris on the immobiliser.
Engine sounds mint so the gamble has paid off !
Loving this series. Cant wait to see this car finished and to see you crunch the numbers
I had this issue with a BMW I bought off Copart. It had a Ghost II immo but because the car sat dead for months the Ghost had erased it's keys and was a nightmare to get running. Luckily I had an invoice in the car for the Ghost and so I called the company and they sent someone out to replace the unit. If I didn't have that invoice I genuinely would have given up, hats off to you lads!
Chris and rob it is a fantastic feeling when everything comes good when you put the effort in!...another cracking video after I watch you guys my enthusiasm goes up and cant wait for your next project 👍👍👍a gold medal for you both🥇🥇😊
If anyone could sort this one it would be you guys. Sounds great and really gets a move on. You were right to be well pleased with yourselves after all your efforts,👍
My gosh what a project and supper great content team, you guys nock it out of the ball park and this won is one for the books - supper great sleuthing the internet to find solutions to the embolized problem. Go Team - Salvage Rebuilds UK
Did you treat her to Super Unleaded?
Top job fellas. Patience is a virtue
Hello Rob and Chris, amazing work on this SVR due the ghost immobiliser system,it starts, what a beast of a car.it sounds really nice.with the bits done it will get some money selling it.
The first time I heard an SVR setting off I thought , that car is worth every penny just for the sound alone, it must be so addictive if you own one.
THE GOOD OLDE DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN! Well done lads. Satisfaction on this one must be immense. 👍🏻
Simply superb. - you chaps never cease to amaze me, what a motor, as Chris said :- “it’s a beast”. 😊
Drive on James nice motor well done
Amazing so far on this guys well done both of you 😊
If you are checking the oil level you have to do this before starting the engine, otherwise you get the message unavailable, nice work by the way👌👍
You both make me laugh haha keep up the good work love what your doing. 2 little kids haha nice to see 2 genuine people enjoying yourselves 🎉
A soft lad and a genius as we say in the north, great combo lads keep it up.
Robs smile makes everything worth it!!
Great video and work as always! : D
Chris and Rob, you guys are just so amazing in your tenacity & smarts to solve the problem. Improvisation is the mother of all invention comes to mind here. Love your channel, love that exhaust note.
Good evening Rob and Chris. What a machine. Well done to Chris for all his research and for finding the answer to the Ghost Alarm.
Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged.
I absolutely love this channel. Every Sunday and the mid week specials are greatly appreciated
Chris' is a master car engineer really wish he lived near me not forgetting Rob it always takes two to tango but when it comes to car's problems and repairs Chris is the main man keep them coming boys love it
Good to know as a 5.0SC owner that even you guys have had trouble legally getting round the ghost 2 immobiliser keep up the great content lads 👍🏼
Fantastic work as always gentlemen. And such a stroke of genius. Well done. Very happy for you.
Well done ,very clever man
Top job lads, you will only be able to check the oil level after it’s sat for about 10 mins, you can’t check it whilst it’s running
Great job on this car guys. I have really enjoyed this series!
Rob I think it was AMS who bought a lot of the flood damaged cars from JLR at Derby, try them for bits. I know Dean at saving salvage bought a full front end for new discovery.
Iv got all the bits cheers 👍
I just love how Chris just stays and figure things out . Rob you a legend to . On UA-cam no mater what mat Armstrong or the top builders . Your vids come first
Well done lads ,this is not your jobs ,this is your lives, i Sence your emotional joy when you repair a vehicle probably out weighs your financial reward that you justly deserve
Oil up to temp and engine off to check the oil.
That Chris is a clever lad...always delivers...👍👍👍
The look on Chris's face when he sorted it, what a legend!
Congrats! Looks like a top spec SVR you have the Meridien premium audio with the speakers in the headliner. A $4600 option. More SVR content!!
Great job lads, love the way Chris wont be beat....hope it makes a good profit for you both, you both deserve it😊
That's got some grunt well done guy's really looking forward to seeing the finished article 👍
So glad you managed to find that company that pointed you in right direction with the Ghost system. Hopefully after running it in, this will be a solid car and some good profit in for you guys. Brilliant guys
The smile on my face when it moved 😂.
Awesome job lads I knew Chris wouldn't let it beat him 👍
It reminds me of Christmas Morning @ Salvage Rebuilds (Australia) - the way you two test drove that SVR😂😂
What a team you guys are. Great channel/content 👍
I was proper rooting for you guys on this. Well done 👏
Chris’ perseverance is such an asset on a job like this. Really well done to you both on what looked like a challenging repair 👍
Well done chaps great looking car, onwards and upwards.
Really nice outcome. Who wouldn't like to cruise around in this Rover?
I would. It looks like a brand new, and I'll bet that it drive exactly so.
Well done guys. As usual.
