    I'd imagine tuning for cam timing would be so much easier with dbw. Thank you Andre for this video, even though I don't need vvt education with my car I am learning a lot about tuning practices across the board from this one specifically

    I didn't expected to learn PID control in here better than the robotics course i went.

    Highly informative, even though i don't own a MIVEC car😅

    Could possibly tune this on the street by using the change in lambda / VE / STFT to see change in airflow

    Tell me this. Can you do a mivec control to create a pseudo larger cam profile by holding the cam with the valve position open longer?

      @18_DriftBox 2 місяці тому +1

      It sounds like you have a poor understanding of how sync offset works. It doesn't change how long the valve opens, it changes the moment at which it opens. The effect of increasing VE is related to the piston speed. In the middle of the suction cycle it is higher.
      The larger cam has a longer opening time and higher lift.

      @RadDadisRad 2 місяці тому +1

      @@18_DriftBox you can keep the same lift and increase duration. Plenty of OEMs do that.

      @@RadDadisRadye this is not about changing duration but timing the existing profile

      Good starting point for a competitive club racer, could do with some cams though🙂
