My father served in the Navy, he loved this song because every time his ship came back from the gulf and they were 1000 miles away from Australia they played it!
Different ships and different cap tallies,Alan. We were just as professional as seamen and warfighters with the technology then. And as always, we worked damned hard, played damned hard and partied damned hard. And in a non-PC world got away with stuff the kids these days would be hammered for.
@@andrewstackpool4911 So true, I was mid eighties and we got away with heaps that wouldn't fly today. NO girls on ships then, so didn't have to watch your mouth. There were female officers only on the big ships like Stalwart/ Supply. I don't remember which now.
I'm ex Pussers ... Love this song and video. i wish the footage I shot was of such high quality. I miss those day's but it was a different Navy when I was in.
Awesome seeing my first posting near the end HMAS Tobruk was great, after that HMAS Adelaide (FFG 01) then Armidale class Patrol Boats a great 13 years !. Awesome to see how far the Navy has come.Envious of the new DDG's !. Someone please get me a brew mug !?.
Best 15 years of my life… Remember this song at RCT school they played this on the 3rd day… Giving you a taste of what to expect once finished your training from RCT and CAT school..
Hi I'm Danny the Carpenter built new deck around the pool at Las Palmas Cairns. I hope you all enjoyed a dip bounce of fall in. I'm an old maintenance guy. Australian Navy so kind too Me. Thank you
Thankyou to all you proud aussie men and women..who choose to represent and defend our great southern land..you maybe out gunned and out numbered..BUT THE BOXING KANGAROO..makes that up..IN COURAGE and STRENGHT..And that BLOODY AUSSIE CHARACTER..🇭🇲👍💪
Having served 70-90, all ships, the Navy does not change, people don't change, Systems work.. great to see, and the sight is still 1,00 miles away even after 40 years away from the Grey funnel line. BZ? OOH to be 16 once more.. would I join. YES SIR.. thats right 16....
Fantastic video, but why did you make the settings so it's not viewable on any remote platform? I post it, but no body will watch it because all that can be seen is a link in code. If you post it like that, people will not even know what it is and pass it over.
@@pertuan Well, I post it and it will only arrive on twitter as an code link that diverts back to UA-cam. So it must be either UA-cam or Twitter, test it for your self and see if that applies to you too, maybe?

We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.
Thank you Tommy Atkins.
