Most end up at CX or EK. QF is super heavily unionised to the point that the best deal for ex RAAFies is to go to the bottom of the seniority barrel in domestic mainline and have. Or they can go direct entry command at CX and EK. In my Dads last season in the Roulette 5 of the 6 pilots ended up at Cathay. All before COVID days anyway....

I learnt to fly helicopters at YWLM, flying amongst Hornets every day. The RAAF pilots and ATC were always professional and it was a pleasure to share the airspace with them. This video invokes fond memories.
As a RAAF brat and based at Williams Town, it was great to see the scenic surrounds from the air. Going vertical over Newcastle and Stockton was awesome! Got to love Av fuel in the morning...

Love it! Simple as that. Hornets and/ or Super Hornets great capabilities in all they have already done for us. We owe these great pilots and all the amazing Ground Crew including those on Flightline and Logistics and all the other Officers too that keep them flying an awful lot!
I built a lot of parts for the F15 and F18 aircraft in my 36 year career as a machinist fabricator. Mainly flight control items and helicopter parts for Blackhawk Chinook Pave Paws and Pave Lo and others. Built flight control and guidence systems for Tactical Tomahawk Javelin and Pegasus missiles. Even built parts for the space shuttle program on contract.
Thank you for the great video 👍👍👍. I love this country, the people there. My mother was from Australia and my father was from Austria. I spent my childhood there, we were at the beach every day and when the pilots flew in from the sea we children waved to them. and the pilots wiggled their wings and waved out of their cockpits. For us children it was something special back then and we were proud of our pilots. Even if I have very little time now, I am always in my beautiful home when I can, and like then, I wave to the pilots today. for me they are simply the best 👍👍👍.

@@Durovnax Idk but I wanted to be one since I was a little boy. I'm 16 now and would still love to be one. I have also spent a few days in the German AF and had the opportunity to speak with some pilots. Of course I recognized some downsides of the job but it still fascinates me.
